How can I unbrick my Artemis ?

Hello !

First, sorry for my english.

Then, my SPV M650 (Artemis) is bricked. :(
It shows "Searching for SD Card" and still stay on the bootloader screen (the muticolor screen) and nothing else. :mad:

On the bootloader scren I can see the IPL and the SPL numbers :
IPL: 3.13.0001
SPL: 3.13.0000

When I connect the phone via an USB cable, on the phone screen I've got a "USB" item appears at bottom left and Windows XP see a pocket PC connected (but not activesynced).
When I tried to reflash it with the RUU tool, I always got an error 260.
The RUU tool can't connect to my phone.

For me, the SPL is not good but I don't know how to change it with my phone in this state.

I tried to flash it directly with a 2GB SD card (FAT32 formated) with only a ".nbh" file at the root directory but it don't work.

If someone got an idea... I will take it with pleasure... :confused:

Hi,

Are you following these instructions:

I see from your SPL that you are not using the USPL so your flash image would have to be your original unmodified SPV M650 flash image. The name of the image file must be ARTEIMG.nbh or it will not be found.

The phone is always on the boot loader but the flash with the original Orange ROM modified my IPL and my SPL (only after the second flash).

New IPL: 1.84.0001
New SPL: 1.84.0000

The flash not take 30min as follows in the wiki.
The steps during the falsh are :
- Checking SD Card
- Validation
- Formating BINFS (1s)
- Reading from SD (5min)
- Verifying certificate (5s)
- Flashing EXTROM (1s)
- Flashing GSM CODE (1s)
- Flashing first phase OS (10s)
- Reading second OS from SD! (5min)
- Flashing second phase OS (3s)
- Success. Press any key.
=> Back to bootloader.

So the phone still bricked.

It seems that you have now a working IPL, so now try to flash the USPL, after that your phone should have SPL 1.11.000 (or so :cool:)

After that you should be able to flash any ROM you like.
Don´t forget to first flash a Radio!

But how can I flash USPL with a bricked phone ?
From SD card it's not work. I get a "Invalid certificate" error.
And for flash a new radio or ROM version, I will need the USPL...

Any ideas ?

I find the way to flash USPL.

But I've got an 270 error when I did it at 99% of the flash.
Now the phone don't turn on. Not feels good...

You need HTC assistence! You have damaged the SPL and now the phone is died!
You can't power on, you can't start bootloader, you can't do anything...

I hope you find a solution, I don't know if it's a way to write the rom without bootloader (something like JTAG)...

I've read a way in the assistence manual, but you need a particolar sim card...
