hi... i try to use another GPS program. igo 8 on my i780.. but i can't get signal locked.. try to seting GPs on IGo:
com port:auto
baudrate:auto
then i click auto detect..
result :no gps found.. any 1 can help me?
how to setting the gps on IGO8 so i can get signal locked??

tesetd on garmin xt, i can get signal locked.. but no on iGO.. help me plz :(

Try setting External GPS - in Start -Settings-System - to one of COM1,COM4 or COM8. Live Hardware at COM9,baud 4800 and Access thicked.Reset IGO8 to default settings and then try autodetect for GPS.
Depending on your ROM,one of this settings will work.Repeat for each COM setting to see wich on gives you faster GPS lock.
For the first time be patient with GPS lock -it could take 10-15 min.

hm... some one said that don't change anything inside of EXTERNAL GPS SETTING.. it caused GPS microsoft bugs..

anyway.. all setting you mentiod above already correct to my device

Try hard reset your i780, reinstall IGO8 then repeat all of the above.
Back-up your data first !

thanks 4 help.. but before i install IGO 8 on my i780, i upgrade my ROM first...
Garmin works fine on my i780
then i try IGO 8

Hardware : Com9 , baud rate : 28800
Access : checked

Enhanced GPS
XTRA Enable : Enable

Restart and retry


If you set GPD1 in External GPS (Program)
Garmin MobileXT can access it but iGO8 can't, that's why

woww thanks my friend.. it works.. but first i just change gps setting from GPD1 to COM8.thats it...
