1. Opera is missing and when i installed the provided cab i get the error this rom is the wrong version

2. i can´t customize my weather ;(

i get the error "data for this city is not downloadable" ...
with R4 and the same HH_weather.xml it worked, any solutions for me?!

edit: went back to R4

yes nice rom

task manager only allows me to STOP ALL but not "Stop Selected"

is there anyway we can get a "G" symbol in the top bar if GSM only is selected (ie 3G and is disabled) . "H" and "3G" are shown if they are selected.

Rock solid build this one. I've been messing about with 6.5 builds, but miss M2D (and it seems way slower if it isn't cooked in) so thought I'd give this one a try. I've seen no problems at all in daily use - it's fast and there's plenty of memory and storage to play with. Thanks udk.

This rom is great, however I have a problem: my Backlight menu in the System menu is without any words or letters. There are the icons and the 2 slides but there are'nt any text. Can I fix this somehow?

Update: if I go to the Power menu and I switch to the Backlight tab then that menu works normally. It's a little bit strange.

Non c'è il touch keypad, ma lo sto cercando...

Penso che la prossima installazione di una ROM sarà tra mooooolto tempo...

Hmm, I have this bug with encryption of the SDcard.
It's encrypted, but when I uncheck encryption, the card stays encrypted :S

Couldn't find an option in the regedit to disable the encryption of the card...

Then your only choice is to copy all files from the sd-card to your pc. format the card and copy everything back.

I hope that will work.

Hmm, didn't work, but I think the problem is not caused by the ROM,
using R7, maybe i'll update to 8.

As usually udK ROM is my favourite. Unfortunately there are still some bugs in R8 Beta2 which could be fixed:
- Opera in the link does not work - you need to find working version
- Locked device is fully backlit
- Backlight setting is without text (only sliders)
- New mail sign on the top of screen stays there after deletion of the mail
- Multiple selection by dragging (e.g. in messages) does not work

Is there any chance to have final version or other release? I hope that Touch Cruise development is not definitely over :(

I'd like to switch my Orbit2 from M-Amine WWE 2.0 to udK Syrius WWE. Do I need to reinstall all apllications or is it possible to restore it from a previous made backup, because both Roms are WWE? I don't like to install everything new.

How about the navigation software in udK? It's not integrated like TomTom in M-Amine?

Hi,

I still have udk R7 an as already known the camera is the whole time zoomed in. Ok. But the worst thing, i cant switch between the 3.2megapixel camera and the VGA camera facing towards me. Is there a trick?

This is a great ROM and working fine to me. It's the first time that I flashed my Touch Cruise and I am very satisfied. I flashed my wife's Touch Cruise also with this ROM. Tom tom 7, QuickGPS, Opera, Ozi-explorer, Camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS etc is all working properly. Just perfect !!!
It is very stable and did not need to reset it once since I am using it.
But I found a small problem with e-mailing. When I compose a message and type the e-mailadress of the recipient most of the times, the application hangs and closes and bring me back to the mainmenu. This also happens when I am typing too quickly. It allways happens when I type "@". When I add a recipient from my contacts, there is no problem at all. Anyone else who has this problem?

Do you still have an I-phone?

Hi,

I have just flashed my Touch Cruise and I found that there is sound only when it first boot up, eg., dialing tone, alarm sound, etc.... The same thing happened when I do a soft reset or even after I do a hard reset, ie., there is sound only on the first startup.

Anyone can help, please?

found the problem. It was caused by the Radio ROM. I have changed mine to 1.59.42.15 and everything works fine now.

I want to disable analog clock somehow because the skins already contain a digital one and I got two overlayered clocks now. I hate the analog clock.
There must be a REGISTRY switch somewhere

But it sounds when you recive an sms??
Because it happened to me that I had sound for the incoming call, but nothing for sms: system volume at 0 :(

To change the clock, I just installed the "big_clock" skin found on this forum amongst many other skins.

I noticed when selecting in PPC -> ActiveSync-> Menu-> "connect via Bluetooth" does NOT work everytime.
BUT
selecting bluetooth properties in the COM Manager and using manual connection to device it WORKS.

strange that adctive sync is not able to connect automatically as UDKs R4 did with no problems.
Or is it me and my VISTA ?

Edit:

Just reinstalled the ROM again and manually installed all applications, and it's running smooth again.
When I use my backup, the problem is there again, so I had to reinstall all applications manually.
Are there more people who had this same strange problem?

What do you mean? The backlight timeout and suspend?
Go to Start - Settings - System - Power - Backlight/Advanced

They work fine on my Polaris. Coming out of suspend mode is an issue from time to time :D

well have you tried changing the settings?
it nerves me that the polaris goes to standby on 5 seconds.
I wanted to change it to 30 seconds but no change possible!
Please check for me.

I am NOT complaining about the sleep mode not working. Thats not the issue here.

Checked and double checked. The backlight dims and turns off like clockwork. I'll make a video when I get home tonight to show you.

you can...just download the original rom from htc or from this forum (use the search button) :):)
