Is it possible to use the same rom for both phones?
I have a good one including operator setup for 2020 and would like the same for 2020i. For the 2020i I only have the generic.

Despite the very obvious physical similarity they 2020 and 2020i are completely different internally so a ROM for the 2020 will never work on the 2020i.

Go into the Device info page on the PPC and see if it says PH10B or PH10C. A B is a Himalaya, a C is an Alpine

I had a IIi as my first PDA. It's pretty clear now WM5+ is never going to make it onto this device, I'd try and sell it off and get a more modern PDA :).

Hi,
I have a 2020 (with 2003SE), and just purchased a 2020i (also 2003SE, obviously).
Because my configuration was very much complete and would take a long time to replicate it by installing each individual program, I tried the new version of SPB Backup.
And the results, so far, are excellent! By using their device upgrade mode, I was able to clone the setup of the 2020 to the 2020i. There are a few apps that were not "transferred" but most of them were!
Possibly the reasons for success lie in the same windows mobile version on both devices, but anyway I think it is useful for you to know...
