How do I get the official HTC rom

HI there, I've just been on the HTC website and saw there was a ROM available there which is newer than the one on my device.

However when I tried to download it it asked for my serial number and in response it said that it was not suitable for my device.

Is this because teh phone is orange UK branded?

If so, is there a way to get around this and get hold of the rom?

I heard it would make the TF3D go smoother and not turn my screen off every 5 seconds.

if you want a upgrade....your have to wait for orange to release a rom

you may be waiting a long time

or use a cooked rom....but read up before you try one.

This will get you the official 1.93 rom from htc

you are entitled to the official "Orange" ROM update when it comes out (IF it comes out - orange tend not to release updates)

If you want to update your ROM you can but you WILL loose all your data on the phone (not internal storage) unless you back it up. You will also have to re-install all of you software.

to update to the latest ROM download RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_1.93.405.1_Radio_Signed_Diamon d_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe from http://www.duttythroy.net/download-a...ite=2&start=10 (this is the official 1.93 ROM from HTC)

before you flash it you probably need to install hardspl http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 This is because your phone will be locked to Orange (although as you got it from CPW it might not be)

So in summary:
Backup
Flash Hard SPL
Flash 1.93
restore data
reload programs
