View Full Version : How can I solve this? Athen is bricked

I was trying to flash another rom on my brother's athena and i got error. the only thing that shows on the screen now is the bootloader (red, blue and white) screen.

Anyway to fix this? Please help...

If you're able to get to bootloader, you're not brick. If you have CID unlocked it before, just reflash with the stock ROM first. Then, unlock your device before flashing with another ROM.

I dont think there is CID unlocked because I can not flash the HTC rom onto the athena...

You can first get into bootloader, then connect the usb cable, then run the ROM update program for your original ROM.

i did but all i get is error 260 connection

While you run the RomUpdateUtility.exe?

Does the bottom of the bootloader screen show the word "USB"?

yes it does show USB and when i remove it, it shows SERIAL

Are you running the ROMUpdateUtility.exe program?

yes i was running the ROMUpdateUtility from the Hard-SPL.zip file and also tried to run RUU_Athena_HTC_US_2.19.453.4_105_1.47.51.00_Ship.e xe file

Right click on the RUU_Athena_HTC.... exe file and choose extract into a folder. It will break up that file into many components, once of which is the ROMUpdateUtility.exe. Then run the ROmUpdateUtility.exe program. You also need the other componets in the same directory.

you are the man!!! rom is flashing now...
i think i have to flash AthenaUnlocker and Hard-SPL to athena now
