Any help would really appreciated, of course donations would be there also for anyone who can help me. Im badly stuck in here. Im reading the forums for the whole, still no luck to solve my problem.

Im stuck, the error is this:

ERROR 244 INVALID ID

I have flashed my rom to "Athena_SPL1.2_WWE_WM6.1_R4.0-MiChY", the update breaks at 98%. Now i have only garbage screen, and cant flash anything. But i can load in the bootloader. I think the previous rom is gone.

thnak god. ive solved my own problems. use the mtty 1.16 btw.

well glad you solved it :)

though i'm sure the issue with mtty_0513 could have been solved by placing mtty and the bin file in C: root (as mentioned in my instructions)

Please help me, too! I have x7501 with SPL-v1.10RP00 and HAD HTC current ship ROM.

I was trying to run AthenaUnlocker from Olipro and it didn't work, so I tried the Athenawrapper and it doesn't work, either. Both immediately went to 7%and gave Error [270].

I tried HTC official ROM to see if my device could be flashed at all and it completed successfully.

I tried unlockers a couple more times and tried to upgrade radio to 1.57 or 1.58 and had no success. I accidentally clicked the AthenaUpdater file from AP4 and my device suddenly showed SPL-v3.00 Olipro (I think those were the numbers) and looked like it was going to update. As I watched the folder where AP4 extracted some files very slowly, a pop-up message showed "Fucksticks" and asked if I had answered "yes" to any messages or made sure my device was synchronized with Activesync. My device suddenly re-booted and was black screen with the green around the joystick lit.

I tried to download the Official HTC rom again and it got to 1% and said Invalid ModelID.

I tried to use cmonex mtty program to change wifi and modelid and it shows "FF" after I typed task 16 0. None of the other unlock, radio or AP4 flash programs will work either, giving connection errors [260] or [300].

The device goes through the hard-reset routine fine, but doesn't boot into anything except the Bootloader. Is there a ROM I can flash that will allow download without checking the ModelID or something I can do with mtty?

did you have the device synced in windows mobile when running the unlockers (as the instructions clearly state it needs to be)?

if not, that's where the issue started...

but anyway, I'm online on MSN :)

CMONEX is the best and was very patient with my ignorance of Athena upgrading! CMONEX took some time to help get my Athena x7501 running again and now it's ready to serve me into the future.

PM CMONEX if you have any issues that you can't handle on your own!

reading this thread makes me want to donate to cmonex just because of his good attitude towards noobs. i probably need to wait for a couple of months until my paypal gets reloaded again, lol.

i would have asked for help from cmonex if not for tootallk2000 guiding me all the way through the (panicky) process. he also had been very patient with me.

anyway, i just wanted to thank people like tootallk2000 and cmonex for their support to the rest of us.

I flashed with the 6.5 rom but did not upgrade my spl previously. Once the phone restarted the video signal looked scrambled on the screen. I tried a hard reset but the same thing so I went into the bootloader and tried to load my original rom but got the 244 error.

Now I am experiencing the same issue, I tried a few versions of mtty and keep getting the "fail to synchronize with the host" error. I also do not have my original mac address(dopod u1000-not on batter door) but couldnt attempt to use an alternate mac because of this error.

I havent been able to try loading from the micro sd card because i wont have a reader till tomorrow. Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

This only helps if your unit only shows IPL and SPL ver only. No ATHE100 on the screen means you got a corrupted model id/wifi ... plz read this post how to create a bin file : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2154726&postcount=33

I have a HTC Advantage X7500 with IPL v2.02 and SPL v1.20 Olipro. I have exactly the same problem. Tried different USB cables. Tried another workstation. Tried at work, even reinstalled another computer with Windows XP Professional with SP2 because I red somewhere that it will only work with that version. Also tried different MTTY versions, but I just cannot get this connected. When updating, it will stop after 1%. The X7500 will reboot and showing a scrambled screen. I cannot figure out what to do anymore. Think I red the instructions for 50 times already. If anyone know why and the solution for it, please let us know!

Because the lack of response, I've decided to send the phone to Dynafix, a company in the Netherlands specialised in repairing phones. Warranty past april this year. What a bummer. Received the repair costs. This software upgrade was not possible and they have to change the complete system board, about 550 Euro's!:eek: Guess I really have a bricked device here. If anyone can help me with a system board, let me know.
