Hi!

I am currently working on a new version of TouchXperience website where I will try to keep you frequently updated about project progress and releases. The new website is community-oriented so if you have any questions, suggestions, or if you would like to contribute in my projects, you are free to take part in forum or wiki. Support will be maintained on TouchXperience forum in the future.

As you know I don't have a lot of free time (and a free PC at the moment) to care of TouchXperience project and website, and I have limited knowledge in website content/forum/wiki management, so I would be glad if some of you were willing to help me. :) But I'm looking for serious/professional people, to moderate forums, to help users and post frequently asked questions,... everything you want to contribute in TouchXperience website life! The best would be if you have good knowledge in CMS, webdesign, forum/wiki management that could help me to improve website.

Thank you in advance!

Schaps, I wish I could help but I am not familiar with any of that stuff. However, I do want to say the site is looking good! And I think this new interactive site is a GREAT idea. TWO THUMBS UP FOR SCHAPS!

Count me in ... I'll work with Veyka to update stuff there if you wish. Even though I won't be doing any testing my self don't like touchflo/animation/etc on a hermes screen with edges!

For the record I was not trying to promote the other site. I was simply trying to prevent someone from making the same mistake at work as I did. Thanks for the real address.

I'm curious... What's wrong with the XDA-Developers wiki & forums?

Why do you feel the need to split off from XDA dev to somewhere else?

Well on the last thread there were a lot of blathering jackasses that were making stupid posts bitching at each other and bitching about how long the development is taking which pissed everybody off and eventually got the thread closed. This seems to be the newest and only TouchXperience thread?

-P.S. Schaps, count me in to help with the new site.

That's what the triangle with the exclamation mark is made for, so one can report such posts for the moderators to take care of.

However, all this will mean is that the blathering jackasses will then be blathering on a different forum? I guess I fail to see the benefits... lol

Hi Schaps,

I'm a big lover of your work, unfortunality I'm not a developer so I don't think a can contribute to your site, altough I try everything you make.

Well, I didn't expect so many volunteers! :)Sorry for the long answer, I didn't get new PC yet... Ok guys I think we should discuss and find an agreement to share tasks, as we don't need 50 moderators on the forum or 50 webdesigners!

Here are some stuffs I would like to work on the website:

Write some FAQ for Advanced Configuration Tool : The aim is to sum up and answer the questions which have been asked hundreds of times over forums (Why do I get an error at startup asking to update .NET CF? How to install .NET CF 3.5? Will ACT overwrite all settings or only the ones I explicitly changed? Why are some settings not listed on my device? ...)
Create some Wiki content for Advanced Configuration Tool, in that way anyone can contribute by adding new tweaks or language translations that I could add in further releases. I don't have any experience in Wiki management but I think it's the appropriate tool, let me know if you have other ideas.
Rework general website design: I would like a more efficient and professional design. Some people told me there is too much white space on the website, so it's hard to concentrate on content. It should better encourage people to read important informations and offer an easy way to manage content.
If some of you would like to help me in one of those tasks, just let me know and I will give you all that you need to work on it. And don't hesitate if you have other ideas to improve website content.

Thanks a lot!

Edit I will work with chef abusalza regarding this, as he did great and wonderful things to your V2 of your advance config on his ROM so yeah will have to chat to him about that so together will try to make it better!

Ok that's cool! :) Let me know if you need more details. And maybe we could talk here about how to organize wiki content for an efficient maintenance of Advanced Configuration Tool, to have an open discussion.

We could have it here as well as at the touchxperience site where I have registered also ...

If there is anything I can do, lemme know. I am just doing a Joomla site myself at the moment (http://g2.evilc.com - bear in mind it is still a WIP and gfx heavy running on a slow server) though none of the art assets on there are me, I just do the CSS, php and javascript mods as required.

Keep up the good work, looks like a great project!

Hey, schap, will the components be individual apps that you can pick and choose which to use?

I am quite happy with my today screen as-is, but I would really like a replacement for the start menu such as touchxperience, and the other components sound like they would be useful too. Will that be possible?
