View Full Version : Oh bugger, help needed! Uni won't boot up!

Well, I'll start from the beginning.

Yesterday I installed wmwifirouter 1.20 trial on my Uni, it worked great, when I finished using it I shut it down normally and all was perfectly fine. I'm not blaming wmwifirouter here, but I feel I must point it out as it was the last piece of software I installed.

I packed up my Uni, put it back in its slip case and started driving home. When I got home, I opened up the lid and it was dead. Fine I thought, battery was flat. So I charged it overnight (I have to use an external charger as my Uni's USB port broke off) and put the battery in this morning, Uni asks for initial Windows Mobile setup, WTF?

I panic, and I press the RESET button hoping that it will clear this problem and my Uni will work fine. Now it is stuck on the boot image, O2 logo with red text that says the following:
PU10 64Mb RAM
ROM image built:
Dec 31 2006
19:42:34

R 1.04.02
G 42.37.P8
D 2.01.06 WWE
I tried a hard reset (holding down both soft keys and pressing RESET, and then pressing zero key to initiate wipe), but it still doesn't get past the boot image..

Now, considering that my USB port is broken, is there any way to fix my Uni?

I have a 2GB SD card, and a 1GB MicroSD card with SD adapter, if this can help somehow?

If I do that, I get the ROM flashing option, but that doesn't help me because I don't have a working USB port on my Uni :)
