Hi all

i hv modified the htc netwizard for Airtel settings in India.Now this will properly install all the airtel settings to the device.

Airtel internet settings (postpaid 500 RS/month)
Airtel Live setings (free both on postpaid and prepaid)
Airtel NOP setings (for prepaid 100 Rs/month)
Airtel MMS settings (for both)

now u just need to know which plan u hv opted and use the respective setting from network connections.
By default the Airtel internet settings will work.

For Delhi users the netwizard will auto detect the setting and for other states
u should select the country and network manually.

The cab will also work for all countries but the modifications r made on Airtel India only.

all the ppls who tried this let me know about issue u hv faced. if it is working well, i m also going to modify it for vodaphone, idea and dolphin. plz also quote the settings for other carriers.

Forgot to mention, it works for me, however the default was airtel internet settings, which i feel is fine.
I changed to airtel live and it worked.

Actually i m pretty sure that it will work for live and nop etc. but i want to confirm for MMS (both sending & receiving) plz try MMS sending and receiving.

I have Touch p3452

I have tried both methods, steps suggested by eshwarn and .cab file from krishnan....
Nothing happens after installing '.CAB' file. neither 'Airtel Live" appears in network management setting nor any icon of "Netwizard appears anywhere inside 'programs' menu. How how to run the netwizard after installing ??

but 1st option works. I can browse thru airtel live... Mine is postpaid connection and i m yet to get monthly bill wherein i can check if i m being charged...

But the biggest problem is, once i switch of device of change SIM card, all settings are lost and 'airtel live' connection does not show up.... Its really very troublesome to manually enter setting on every power up..
Pls suggest solution for this.

I wud also want to know, which sites are CHARGED under FREE airtel live.. (yahoo and google are charge.. but is orkut also charged?? what r charges ??)

The cab file given did not help.

If u r using prepaid- Activate MO (mobile office using *567# , then select 1 as input and ok). Once activated (i think they have become quite quick now and activate it almost instantly)
Go to connections and enter new connection as MO and in the alias enter - airtellive.com. Thats it. then go to Advanced tab under connection and select networks to use MO for all programs connecting to internet.

to deactivae it *567# and follow prompts.

Remember MO is not free on prepaid they charge 15 rs per day(i think unlimited data) and for post paid its 450 rs or 499 rs for unlimited.

The codes you have mentioned are NOT the same for all circles (Your mentioned codes do not work in Maharashtra). It is best to call Airtel (121 - Free call) and find out what the activation and deactivation codes are for your particular circle.

Ok I found to Network Wizard now....I had to reboot my phone, after that Network wizard was visible under connections...

You may want to add additional step in the first post that in case, you don't see network wizard after installation, then reboot the phone...

Internet is now working on my phone....thanx a lot man :)

hey BTW i've run into new problems...Through Airtel Live settings I've been able to do some things which use net like updating weather data(of SPB weather) or GPS Data from GPRS but whenever i try to open some site in Internet explorer..i get the message "Request not authorized to access WAP gateway"... are u able to open websites?

Also one more thing...after these airtel settings i've not been able to access internet through Activesync...If i remove the check mark from Airtel Live Setting:This network connects to internet then I am once again able to access internet through Activesync...

Do you have the same problem too?

Yes, exact description of my problems too. I removed all connections from connection settings and my internet connection through activesync is live again. Airtel live sucks. They have stopped NOP some time ago. The only option for "internet" connection is MO

Hi

I ran the wizard and restarted the phone. I am seeing a notification that says, it couldnt find something in database and the wizard will redirect me to connection settings and it does.

after that I am not sure what I need to do. I just selected airtel live as the setting and clicked ok.

If I open IE after this and type any URL, I see the following error message.
"the page cannot be displayed because the connection was lost".

Can you help?

It works. I had my mobile connected to laptop when I tried earlier.
It worked as soon as I removed the connection to laptop. I could use airtel live, update weather & download GPS updates. However, it doesnt load sites like google.
let me know if you have any ways to make them work.

if u want to connect with airtel while conected with laptop u need to "Allow data connnections on device" under activesync/WMDC settings.

Its too costly yaar..10p / 10kb.. no matter if you open 6kb page for once..they use to deduct 10p only..such a crap plan they have..:mad:

upon IE VL its working like a charm, but we need it on opera mini modded or else.

i don't know where the hell is the problem. I access internet on phone hassle free. i also can download and send emails via pop3 but active sync simply refuses to go on.

Pls help. the settings seem to be fine but just doesn't work. THis error is owing to some issue with the exchange server or the ISP (Airtel) in Idia.

I really need some help here... I bought an imate phone edition from Bahrain(in the Middle East), where it worked fine with the Batelco SIM(Bahrain's network operator)... even when I inserted my airtel(bangalore) sim into it it was reading the SIM(i.e. SIM contacts, SIM tool kit...etc.)

I did a couple of flashes... tried WM 2005,6.1,6.5...etc... now after a hard reset my phone doesn't auto execute anything from Extended ROM and I dont get any Phone signal... All I get is a message that the phone is 'off'... And there is no option to turn it on...

Even it doesn't access SIM contacts, I tried a network wizard and specified AirTel India.. Still doesn't work... Anyone know what I need to do here??? I have a feeling that something important isn't loading from the Extended ROM on startup...

I've unlocked my phone as well(thinking that was the issue) using itsme's tool. Still no effect...
I'm currently using this SIM card on another phone till I can resolve this, so I am sure that the SIM is completely fine....

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated...
