Hi,
A friend with an iphone showed me an application that got me well impressed..
The applications shows several different types of fish swimming in the water..
Taping the screen was like dipping your finger in water and shaking it..... quality sound and picture... this also made the fish scamper...
Is there a similar application for the HTC diamond? i know its totally useless but would be an awesome show-off application..

i'ts actually an X1 home screen not just an app. The fish not only follow your touch on the screen, but also alert to notifications such as missed call's etc (if i remember correctly the fish changes colour to show missed calls / bluetooth on etc - but don't hold me to this)

Of course they can! But they dont have this much time to play with useless applications guaranteed :)
But I still hope someone will make it :-9

Just shoot a quick video and mms it.
Or bluetooth it to your pc.
Or do some quick Multitasking.
Amongst otherssss........;)
That should keep the fruitPhone mate in line.

Sure, the WM can do this easily.
Thing is, why should anybody bother?
The incentive with the jesus phone is it has this -obligatory- iphone app store. Let me explain:
You cannot install ANYTHING on an iphone unless you go through Crapple Approved (TM)(c) "itunes store" ( - - - or you go through the jailbreak - cydia - nail biting hoops).
On the other hand the appstore has this incentive thing: once you get your fart app or the aquarium approved, you get paid for every sale. Even if it's a free app, you know you will get some exposure. Kudos, as it were.
People who hang out at XDA-Dev are usually the discerning elite. Apps that originate here seldom reach the millions of WM users, unless the word eventually gets passed around.
With an app store there is more chance of recognition.
WM, with the multitasking and tweakability has a lot going for it. The Xperia fish tank is a very nice app.
But why any coder would go for all that trouble, well, that's another thing. It should work nice and look nice or it will not work. Looking nice and working nice is a lot of work.
What is the incentive?

stupid question: why not create a wm store, like the Itunes?
earni
11th April 2009, 03:24 AM
isnt that question answered in the post before? WM users aren't stupid enough to pay for stupid apps hence why they bought a WM in the first place

That's why this threat got more than 16.000 views! i don't get it 16.000 for a unusualas app

My mother's got an LG Viewty (cant remember how to spell it) and its got this type of thing as the homescreen. Little swimming goldfish. your finger is a dip in the water.
Surely if that can do it these can!
Any way to port it? What O-S does the Viewty run?
