Its a pain flashing to a new ROM lol... just becuase I will lose all the apps I installed. and reinstalling them takes a while (mainly the maps to my gps and the gps itself), any way I can backup these things and have them put on automatically when I restore the backup?

I dont think spb backup does it
any suggestions?

Hi, SPB backup does exactly that, it'll restore all your apps and settings.
You can also try SASHIMI, it's free and it also does the same.

for me, i install apps in internal storage.. after flashing roms, i merely re-create shortcuts back to start menu\programs folders

Doesnt flashing also wipe the internal memory though? (I mean, back to default).

"i merely re-create shortcuts back to start menu\programs folders"
and how do you do that? ^^^

how?? well, just make a copy for \windows\start menu folder to a backup directory in \internal memory then after reflashing and if all apps where installed in the internal memory just copy back the start menu folder to \windows\start menu

:) BE carefull if the new ROMs has new apps be sure not to delete new shortcuts.

for the not so advanced users go for the SPB Backup, or if you're feeling challenging try the SASHIMI
