I'm located in Madrid, Spain... If i'm not located in the u.s. how do I input my location into Chome weather? is there a definitive list of codes somewhere? I swear i've been looking all around this site for about an hour using search and can't seem to find anything.. kind of overwhelming! I'll need codes for many countries seeing as how i travel often. Spain, France, Italy, England, Korea and Japan ...

Look in this Sticky Weather Thread taken from the top of this Excalibur forum 5+ posts up from your original post. Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406781)
It should be under the city locations in red font.

so the location code for madrid is:" EUR|ES|SP013|Madrid"
but how on earth do I enter those vertical slash marks into my dash? they're not l's and they're not backslashes.. they're vertical! I can't find them on my normal pc keyboard or my dash!

You have a weird PC if you don't have them?
It's under symbols on your Dash, would take picture to show but i think you can find it next to space on right hand side SYM "has a camera on it too"

Those codes will work with ODSHOWeather or FeatherWeather(which are accuweather), but not Nrg's weather apps(which are weather.com).:)

Well I stand corrected. Don't I feel like a Horse's Patoot!
Might want to get NRG's permission to edit his post and add weather.com to that sticky. That's a pretty big left out piece of information for international use.

Try this code for Madrid on weather.com.
SPXX0050
I got that by going to weather.com, typing in Madrid, Spain as the location, and getting its forecast on there. Then you look at the url in your browser address bar to get the code for that location. Look at the url below and notice the bold text.:)

mini weather v1.2
here is a link for anyone in the UK that needs a local code for your area
just scoll down the list till you find the place you need.
then look at the link ie for the code for london which is UKXX0085
h**p://uk.weather.com/weather/today-London-UKXX0085?fromSearch=true
so on your phone in the slide pannel Push center button to update
set your location
1 zip or code
enter your code ie london in this case UKXX0085
2 advanced options
make sure you have connect to data connection set to (Y)
other settings should be OK
14 back to main menu
3 update miniweather now
link below is for UK place names Hope this helps.
As it took me a bit of time to find this out, after I found out that miniweather was working just great but i did not have the code for my area.
other options I think you can work out what thay do.
I dont think I can use direct links
so remember to put tt back into the urls below ie http not h**p
UK
h**p://uk.weather.com/search?locationId=GB&sourcePageId=7&searchText=ENG&searchType=2&searchSourceType=2&localeCode=en_GB
EUR
h**p://uk.weather.com/search?searchSourceType=2&sourcePageId=7&localeCode=en_GB&searchType=4&locationId=&searchText=WEUR
World Regions
h**p://uk.weather.com/search?searchSourceType=5&sourcePageId=7&localeCode=en_GB&searchType=3&locationId=&searchText=*
For anyone else loking for codes just use the search with link above and look at the URL for your code. ie
h--p://uk.weather.com/weather/today-YOUR PLACE -YOUR CODE?
if all is ok then you should have weather for your area
London-UKXX0085
Manchester-UKXX0092
Birmingham-UKXX0018
Thanks for this great app. I just love it.
