To each his own. I don't see why anyone would have an issue with someone creating their own site. There has been a few members do that already.

That's simple contact the mods here via PM and ask if they want to participate. They can pm you a response. Now you know you've contacted a Mod here, when they sign up for your site, use Pm here to send their password.
Something along that line.
FWIW, I wouldn't Mod at your site. No offense or anything, I just don't want to add another thing to my already complicated life.

I doubt there would be a rivalry, look at PPCGeeks, a bunch of users float between the two.
