Sounds interresting.
That might be what creates those GPSlog text files present in the main windows directory right after you use the GPS once.
One is easily erasable (GPSlog back up) but the GPSlog itself requires a reboot to be deleted.

Didn't know it was possible to desactivate it. Anybody know the registry key to turn off? (then no need to use advance config just for this)

after i update my ROM,my GPS took forever to get a fix,i then do some reading up here and tried the htc tools clear memory then cold start then nav int. method,im managed to get some weak signals,i try to flash to different radio also but still cant get a fix under 5mins,i also try quick gps to update the data whenever i can, nothing works.today i was messing around with advance config and when i disable GPS logging just to test if it improve the fix time and to my shock i got a fix in under 15secs!!!try a few time after tat at different spot and still manage to get a fix under 1 mi.im currently on radio 0.5....before 0.5 was on 0.7.Hmmm...can anyone advise if i should revert back cos i heard 0.7 is better than 0.5.BTW im singapore so it helps if anyone from tis regions can gave me some feedback.Thks

So your solution is to resolve, GPS Fix time? not GPS lag?

Think your thread title should have been more descriptive.

No I should apologise, just getting annoyed at the amount of threads with solutions to the GPS issues and none are really sorting the issue out. I have the opposite, I get a fix within milliseconds, just the lag is annoying :)

I'm pretty much convinced that graphics have nothing to do with the lag problem and that signal strength is irrelevent.

The one thing that I have noticed is that, when I come to a stop after driving the GPS software (IGO 8) tracks me to the correct position, it's just while moving there is a delay.

This also shows that the GPS chipset is accurate, unlike other people have been saying. Have also tried external BT receivers, which also produced the same lag.

So my opinion is that the Diamond (Rough Diamond :) ) is interperating the data incorrectly and I need some crazy hard core developer to fix it :)
