.NET version?

Hi guys...

Can anyone tell me what version of .NET CF the Touch Diamond is using (the standard HTC factory ROM)... After installing some of the great software available in this forum, I get a message saying .NET CF2 needs to be installed. Surely, if the Diamond is running .NET CF3.5, shouldn't software developed for older versions work anyway?

i think its using 2, i had to instal 3.5 to get some apps working
