Man, ur ROM has always been fantastic, i have been following ever since the O2 Atom Exec days... nice to c that u are at it again. Quite a speedy ROM but however i have one minor problem.

ActiveSync doesn't sync with the Exchange server over WiFi, no problems whilst syncing with the PC though. I see that in the Comm Manager you do not have Microsoft Direct Push option. i tried a number of ROMS in this Kaiser forum, ActiveSync needs the MDP enabed in order to sync with the Exchange Server over WiFi.

I hope in your next update you'll have that option.:o

I second the motion with mortscript with landscape home being omitted. Dunno why landscape with home tf2d is now considered essential or even helpful. Every program, and app, works just fine in landscape; which basically means using the keyboard; just because you CAN do it doesn't mean you should do it.

This is a great rom ,
Everything works very fast.

I loaded Pocket informat 8 no issues, then i loaded a older version of I Guidance
gps map program designed for WM5 PPC version, all I needed to due was set the com port for the GPS and off to work it goes..even the voice prompts work great..:D

Syncs with no issues......great job....i am loving the new V4 2d version...

Thats because in this version the Camera is 6.8 Build.32018 which was specifically design to be used with HTC Opal which has a fixed focus camera, if you want the autofocus function back install the attached cab which is Camera 5_04_29195_00

The ROM is very fast and nippy but I'm having perpetual problems with ActiveSync connectivity to my PC (running Vista)...it's erratic to connect and then does not hold the connection. I keep on switching between "Enabling advanced network functionality" and disabling it just to get connectivity.

Second issue for me is that some cab files that install without any hassle at all in other ROMs now give me an error: "insufficient privilidges...cannot install this file..."

Solution found to second issue: installing MortScript allows the cabs to install without any problems! It appears as though the cabs are dependent on Mortscript before they can install successfully...strange phenomenon indeed.

A conclusion I've come to based on my own experience and the comments of other people here:
1) Connectivity is unstable: bluetooth, active sync
2) Refresh rate of screen (Today) seems to lag. I seem to have changed screens and the device has hung on previous screen forever...

No worries it's the least I could do! once again thank you for this excellent ROM have been testing V4 since your release and I have yet to find any issues, not sure if it's something to do with the build you are using but it's first ROM I've tested that I have not yet encountered any freeze or lag:-)

With most ROM's I've tested so far have shown some minor intermitent lag or freeze irespective what SPL or tweak I used , up till now I put this down to a general bug with WM6.1 or something to do with my kaiser!

Your ROM is great (speedy, looks nice), Thank you for your work.
I am getting some problems.

1. When running some applications I get message "The file <application name> cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with the trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. ..."
On HyperDragon III this application runs normally.

2. When I am trying to install Opera Mini I'm getting error message from JBlend "Opera Mini cannot be installed. the authentication of certificate is failed. Contact your application provider to correct this situation"

These errors seem like some kind of certificate or permittion error...:confused:

3. Text 3D is not showing correctly.

If you installed my other digital analogue clock mix cab then please uninstall that and then disable manila 2d from today pluging then do soft reset and re-install cab that should do the trick;) any probs report back!


Edit: I double checked my cab file just to make sure there was no corrupted files, causing giving you the installation error, I even re-installed on my device even with manila 2d enabled, it intstalled fine! I think the above instruction should resolve the issue!

Try opening Schap's Advanced Config (Under the Programs Folder of the Start menu) and scroll all the way down to the "Miscellaneous" Section. Under this section there is a "Security Warning" setting, make sure that is 'Disabled'. Exit the application, it should ask if you would like to soft-reset, click yes. Should resolve the problem. If that doesn't work, it may have to do with a certificates issue, which just means you need to install the Developer Certs, or one of the countless other ones out there that do the same thing. (I just can't seem to find any ATM lol) Hope this helps.

However, i have only one problem with Camera. I am not able to make it work and everytime error says "Unable to capture photo. Unable to get frame data from Camera device."

Please help me as i want to use my 3.2 mp camera which is no doubt a good one.

FYI, i have already installed "HTC Camera 5_04_29195_00.cab" in device memory and did SR after installation.

If you installed my other digital analogue clock mix cab then please uninstall that and then disable manila 2d from today pluging then do soft reset and re-install cab that should do the trick;) any probs report back!


Edit: I double checked my cab file just to make sure there was no corrupted files, causing giving you the installation error, I even re-installed on my device even with manila 2d enabled, it intstalled fine! I think the above instruction should resolve the issue!

You gotta install radio 1.65.24.36. Look for it on the post for Ultimate radio thread in rom development. I had the same issue with my wife's phone. I was breaking my head. This site is the best!

Still no luck man. I tried installing 2pagexmdweather.cab and it says installation of cab unsuccessful. thats fine no big deal. I just wanna know if there are any skins or other themes for this ROM that would be awesome.

well beside the progs that came with the rom I have Windows Live 10.6.33 for my hotmail account, Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005, Microsoft.net CD2.0, HTC camera 5_04_29195_00, PMC VC1.60(Voice command) telenav, Gfreek manila IE shortcut widget, and Gfreek TF2D digital & analog mix. ActiveSync doesn't sync with the Exchange server over WiFi, no problems whilst syncing with the PC though. I see that in the Comm Manager you do not have Microsoft Direct Push option. i tried a number of ROMS in this Kaiser forum, ActiveSync needs the MDP enabed in order to sync with the Exchange Server over WiFi.

Try opening Schap's Advanced Config (Under the Programs Folder of the Start menu) and scroll all the way down to the "Miscellaneous" Section. Under this section there is a "Security Warning" setting, make sure that is 'Disabled'. Exit the application, it should ask if you would like to soft-reset, click yes. Should resolve the problem. If that doesn't work, it may have to do with a certificates issue, which just means you need to install the Developer Certs, or one of the countless other ones out there that do the same thing. (I just can't seem to find any ATM lol) Hope this helps.

Yep. SPL 3.29. Been flashing lots of different ROMS without any issues. This is the first to get stuck at the splash screen.

Any way to remove the opera browser, or to downgrade it? I used an earlier version before and it had worked fine with my weather watcher program. i'm using v 1.08 of singers weather watcher. the programs works correctly, but when i hit a different tab on ww, it opens opera each time to show the html. (this use to open in the weather watcher program before... maybe something with internet explorer set as default?).. when i wanted to change tabs, i have to close opera and then hit another tab on weather watcher just to have opera open up again.:( so far thats the only issue i am having. i already tried the cab on the first page to set ie as default, that just gave me a dns error that i have never seen before.

i love the batt and different color status icons.. gives it a bit of contrast.:D

ps.. im also using v4, though will upgrade to v05 later today.. the landscape manilla was kinda cool, though still sometimes annoying.. lol

Im afraid you are asking too much:rolleyes: but the best you can get is:


backup anything on your phone that you might want to keep after the new Rom has been flashed because all contacts/ emails/ texts/ notes/ Internet BookMarks/ ect. WILL be lost!!

PimBackup is good for this and free (copy any mms attachments to your storage card or computer seperately):

I back up to SPB Back Up and restore perfectly every time as long as the ROM is the same build.
V4 & V5 are the same build.

My guess is the dialer. Some dialers can do video calls (3G) and some cannot (2G). But that is just a guess.

First of all thank you for such a great ROM. I thinks I may have found my latest ROM for quite a while. Ijust finished testing all the major ROMs and I must say this is the best.

I did find one very small anomoly, dealing with the dailer. If you load the drivers for the Celio RedFly, the keyboard will revert to the stock dailer. This did not happen with the other five ROMs I tested this weekend that I noticed. If you ever venture to create a V6 it would be grat to retain te Opal dailer.

Speaking of Opal, I was wondering if you are taking suggestions, if you could use the Opal SIP instead of the SIP you have installed. I do like being able to type with my thumbs without having to slide out the keyboard or pull out the stylus.

I love this ROM, the only problem with it I have is this....I power the device off (to shut the screen off) and when I go to turn it back on again sometimes (most of the time) it will light up and then shut off again right away. So then I have to hit the power button again to turn the screen on. This is the only thing that is preventing me from using this everyday as it gets quite annoying. Everything else is great!

Well the creator seems to have taken his ball and gone home, so to speak. But you can find it here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=434407&highlight=sashimi). Basically you can set it up to auto install all your programs and set up your email accounts. Its pretty slick, especially if you're flashing ROM's every 2 days like a junkie :)

but the BEST PART OF THIS ROM since I had my ATT tilt (almost a year) is the

LOAD SPEAKERPHONE :)

This rom has the loudest speaker phone of ANY ROM I used
all other roms the speakerphone was so low it sounded like it wasn't even on.

Now it sounds LOUD like a Nextel radio

Just flashed the room this morning. Everything worked perfectly except the HTC Startup Animation Engine. Even if I enable it from Advance Config, it still not work. Any help please?
