I'm waiting for v21, however now I have wm 6.5 and it have Titanium (so I can use my wallpaper, and with being left-handed it is very OK to me) So, is there a cab or I don't know what only for Titanium? Your's ROM is for sure best of the best, however I want Titanium

Hello Reza... If you still have time to cook in a program, I highly recommend the free ThumbCal Calendar program as the default. It is better than the HTC appointments and tasks coordinator/manager in my opinion, especially when you customize it and skin it to your liking. Here is the Cab for it, and follow the instructions to the T:

V1.24 is free and less buggy than V1.25 as some of the sites are posting. I am glad you like it. I find it more elegant looking than the HTC Calendar, in addition to the multitude of functions and features it has.

No, it appears to be next to impossible to resize it from Wvga to qvga

I guess the first option would be easier. I know it is nice to display 4 icons across, but it does mess up the eye candy for the ROM. Just a thought.

I use Google's exchange sync and it works fine on V20, maybe a bad flash?

Unfortunately, I don't know. I flashed V19, and it works well. I flashed from my microsd card for V20, and followed the directions from the ROM flashing for Noobs thread. I'll see how V21 or Ultimate 2 works out.

In previous versions the HTC action screen was on the Long Hold Call Key.
Is there an easy way to add this back in V20.

Much quicker if you don't have to go back to the Main screen in M2D to get to it.

The green button is set to speaker activating as default (while in call). so i removed these setting.
simply press red button and you will be back to home screen then you can select actions ;)

its amazing just how much people in the states (and elsewhere) take for granted...i know with my internet connection i could upload a rom in literally two minutes...not so in other parts of the world. what needs to happen is people in the states, europe, etc need to realize just how good they have it...infrastructure in india, indonesia, asia etc is nowhere near as good as ours...we need to remember things like that and exercise patience. if you want the ROM faster, DONATE to the chef so he can upgrade his connection! otherwise, chill, have a beer, and wait...there is life outside of computers, ya know...

Every weekend, I test a new rom. To help the chefs with testing and to see what else is out there.

:D For the last two weekends, I have tested Josh's roms and they have developed into the best 6.5 roms out there( imho ), but on Monday morning I am always back to my stable dependable V19 with all my office apps and My trusty M2D. Can.t see going anywhere else soon.

I would go with a bad flash, flash again and make sure to hard reset after, if that doesnt work reflash the oem ROM then flash this again! Let us know how it turns out! :)

well just flashed the v21, its very quick and responsive

one little change that i notices is that for the voice mail notification it doesnt say the number of voicemails anymore but only "new voicemail". Is there a way to change it back?

Thats right. Or V19 the hybrid is great. Josh has done wonders but its still beta. I always go back to the same rom. Will be cool to test another reza rom but i will still probally use 19 :rolleyes: Im just stuck on it!! :D

First off... are you familiar with the AEButton operation? when you click the AEButton program it opens up two windows. The top window will have all the buttons. The OK button that you need to remap is the one after Button 6 (Hold) and has a name OK Key. Click on it, then click inside the second (bottom) window. When you do that, another window pops open with three lines of various entries. First line drop down chose Handle By AEBplus. Second line chose single press and third line chose Volume Up (#19 choice). Click OK and exit and you are set. You can program the OK button to perform two more functions. I have it programmed to Start Menu with Long Press.

Couldn't have said it better myself. As much as I wanted to, I just couldn't bring myself to download it. I respect Reza and will have a go at it once he says so. And I also hope that he will continue to cook for us! Couldn't imagine another great chef abandoning ship!

1. I completely agree, and that's why I have waited to download it. Even though it's like setting a nice big piece of chocolate cake in front of me and not letting me eat it. When Abu/Reza wants to post it he will, that's when I will download it.

2. Abu/Reza does have a bad internet connection from his home (I assume it's his home since he goes into down to upload it). Maybe he uploads it to his personal site, and then uploads the file to one of the file sharing sites because he doesn't have a lot of bandwidth on the site the file currently is at. (just assuming)

For that, I recommend that EVERYONE stop downloading the file until he puts up his own link in the first post. Heck, maybe he uploaded it and something came up and he had to leave and wasn't able to update the link...

That makes sense then. I remember when you pressed the button, it raised the volume up one.
So you have to make it raise the volume in order to get it to show up to be able to change it.

Guys I really need help.

So a few days ago my kaiser started acting funny. It is as if the return key is always pressed. For example, when i press the green 'send' button and look through people i called recently, if i scroll down, somehow the return key will engage and start calling someone...If i try to text someone, using the keyboard, it will randomly start skipping lines whenever it wants. Also, when i press the power button to turn off the display, the phone comes back on. I have no clue what is going on. I had V18 of this rom flashed and I just flashed V20 2G to see if it would go away but no.

Also the Normal size for the rom 60-70 MB for the EXE file
and this one is 64
if it stoped in 50% as u said it should be less than 40 MB ... very interested

turn the screen off, wait 1 min, then click the power button, the screen will turn on then it will get off.

This ROM has been running great for me for the last couple months, I just wanted to say that the best part about it is the color icons in the top bar. Hardly any other ROMs have this and it's kind of a dealbreaker now :P is it easy to change those for any ROM?

Yeah, I don't understand how people would take a link that was posted by someone OTHER than the chef as a valid link... Especially when the chef did not state that he was going to have someone else post it for him. Guys, a little common sense goes a long way, especially when you are talking about bricking your device. I know we all wait for Abu's creations with anticipation, but ruining your phone because you couldn't wait a day or two does not make sense...

I dunno which specific cabs you are referring to, but, if it is a fix, it is probably only for the version it is referring to. Our esteemed chef does a great job of fixing almost all issues on the following version...

yeah i'm also not realy. i'd got asleep and my wife's tell me my comp got a freeze. and filezilla showing status at 78%. she had restart my pc and tell me when i wake up. so if you have perfect perform with "ghost" v21 version i think it completed but the problem is on my pc only.
btw i have deleted those file and re-uploading now with adding note:

fixed gesture and drag & drop issue on file explorer and selectable messages
added sympad

yeah i'm also not realy. i'd got asleep and my wife's tell me my comp got a freeze. and filezilla showing status at 78%. she had restart my pc and tell me when i wake up. so if you have perfect perform with "ghost" v21 version i think it completed but the problem is on my pc only.

I flashed on my own risk, this misterious v21 and i can say works pefectly.
I can not understand how file that is not uploaded full, can even extract with no errors and full files and in the end works great.

I think it was complete. Rezas PC had probally just locked up like he said. If its another .exe file and you didnt get any errors when extracting it then it was intact. So who knows :confused:

Well, I downloaded the mysterious V21 also, extracted and flashed successfully.

Well the power button is a known issue for 6.1 roms. Some say its meant to be like that so you cant turn it on by accident and some say its a flaw :confused: But the page in advanced config chopped off would lead me to a bad flash. So hard reset then reflash. Or wait until reza post the link to the other V21 so to say :cool:

yes reza has taught josh in the cooking relm. The two of them will take over the board before long on the kaiser side :D But you have to remember josh is only working with a beta rom. 6.5 wont be out until probally october. If then. We all know how MS is when it comes to a release date. Takes them forever. So yes josh has gone a long way with what he has to work with. So hats off to him. But for me reza here with the PDA roms has kicked some butt so to say. The roms are the best for me. Not that the other chefs are bad. These just fit me well. There are alot of great roms out there. nonono... On post 1, there's link that says Completed Packaged V21. When i click on THAT i get code. This is where the noob part comes in... Am i not finding the right link, or am i just too stupid to know what to do with this code?

We were all n00bs once. Im still a n00b. But if you download a .zip flash folder. Even if its just a .nbh file. All you have to do is copy and paste the RUU. Rom Update Utility. Then just click on it. Most PDA roms if its not a .EXE file it has the .nbh and RUU in the folder. So all you have to do is click on the RUU. Hope this helps a little. Dont worry about being a n00b. I know ive been a smart a$$ in the past. While I'm on the thread, I gots a question about the start menu... Im running v20, and absolutely love it, except the start menu. As strange as it sounds, I hate it, and am wondering if there's a way to change it/customize it/delete it. If not, np... just curious.

I use QuickMenu to replace start menu and WkTask to switch between open apps. That's just me personally tho. Works great for me and I love it.

Now that we've jumped into personalization/setups....

Does anyone else use that JZ Browser? It's great. I map it to the IE key on the phone so just push it and bam, all installed browsers come up to choose from. Abu should cook this in by default!

I thought I wouldn't like it at first either. Maybe it's just better with WM6+ than w/WM5? It's all in the way you set it up I guess. I made the fonts bigger and with the spacing size set at 6 it's finger-friendly. I went into windows/start menu and organized all the apps into the folders Abu cooked in (tools/multimedia/connections/accessories/etc). It lets me get to anything I want really fast and pretty much opened the entire phone up from the home screen.

The more I see of 6.5 the more and like and dislike it at the same time. 6.5's home screen looks "cheap" or something. The text/fonts are all grainy and it looks cluttered as hell. The little clock looks cheap too. The menus look slick but the rest looks kinda meh.

I always turn the "Don't lock buttons" on an just use jogging wheel to turn the device on. That way saves our power button a lot as it will be a big problem if the button cannot function anymore :)

Its a safety feature that was built into the later roms to stop people accidentally pressing the power button while its in a pocket and turning it on. Its not a bug.

Just installed rom and it's pretty sweet but I have noticed that it has a slight delay after I hit a button to open a app or just when I hit start. Any suggestions before I reflash. I went from 19 to 21 and it seems that most of the issues i was having with 20 are resolved except for the power button. I know this isn't an issue but rather a "safety function" but is there any fix for this? I can't seem to find one... and also it seems kind of funny that they need this function with a key that's so hard to find/press in the first place...

I'm joining to your question about fixing power button issue...
For me it's annoying - so until there won't be a fix for this, I do not upgrade from V18, which suites best for me.

I dig the new icons in 21 though there seems to be some random lag in touch responsiveness in the menus, and unless I missed it, comm manager is no longer available in the button config. The power button issue is my biggest bitch though, I feel like i'm gonna have a seizure everytime it happens:D. Very nice looking rom though Reza, best imo; going back to the sweet 19 in the meantime

Its a safety feature that was built into the later roms to stop people accidentally pressing the power button while its in a pocket and turning it on. Its not a bug.

well, I don't think this is a safety feature, becasue of two reasons:

1) there is a lock feature build in windows mobile 5,6,6.1 and even 6.5 which will stop people accidentely making a dial, and if the power button pressed accidentely the device will turn off later after designated time that you choose, with this rom 30sec.

2)why this issue not exist in original rom that is from htc or even in most other cooked rom.

It really does not affect the lifespan of the button. I know it is annoying, but that is the monkey on the back of every cook... dealing with OEM planted features that are hard to work around. believe me, Abu and others would love to get rid of this "issue", but as a coder I know how difficult or time consuming that can be. I know how long it takes one to flash a ROM, but we seem to forget that the cook that created the ROM has had to flash and test the ROM many many times to bring out the final product you get to enjoy. It is not an easy task. No one really knows why WM6.1 OEM has that issue, we all guess the reason behind it.

In my testing, if I flashed a bare bone wm6.1 then add TF2D ( Manila2D) to it I then do not get the 2 stage power-on issue. If I flash the newest wm6.1 with HTCHome, then that issue appears. Can not figure out why or how to work around it ( at least not yet).

Just to boost booting process, the cook must mute few ini files and some of those that get muted are the culprit of the 2 stage start. In my analysis, if there were no power boot interruption and the screen lights up on first press, the time to fully boot would be longer than when you press the second time with the 2 stage powering. So there is indeed a correlation between removing certain ini files, boot time and the 2stage powering. Is it worth it to take up all the time to figure out what causes the issue.... that is up to the cook, not to me or to the complainers.

Thanks, forgot to mention i knew this, but i want only one press, (i used to it)of button, and autolock if possible.In previous ver of advance config there was autolock to set, but now it is not.

Go to Settings/buttons/ and see one of the tabs in the bottom that has the device lock option check box .... if you check that option, then when you long press the red phone button it will lock the device with one click ( long Press)

I'd also recommend doing a "clear storage" after first clean boot; problems with lag in menus, error sync with email, etc. are now gone and loving Reza's latest 21. We don't complain, we critique, for an artist like Reza; we wouldn't have ver.21 if we didn't. Awesome work brother!!

Anybody reporting lags in v21 try flashing cmonex's HardSPL v3.29 (use the flashing HardSPL via microSD method in my guide). You might need to reflash the rom afterwards but it should sort it out.

Question, in your guide, the cmonex hardspl from SD can't be done unless the phone is already HardSPL'd. I just got a warranty exchanged phone, so do you recommend running jocky's HSPL then doing the cmonex HSPL from the SD?

Well, guess I need to load the "non-bootleg" version as last night the phone dropped from 100% to 45% battery with just bluetooth on and 4 hours between email downloads. That's higher than ever before so something is up and I want to make sure I'm on the same page as everyone else before I start commenting on issues.

ABU AMAZING WORK

I am not having the "power button issue" anyone else is having. I just did like 100 quick presses of the power button and my device lights up and goes off as it is supposed to and always has.

The HTC menu enhancement you cooked in is FREAKIN SWEET. Fast as lightning and smooth as silk.

Also, the boot time on v21 is INCREDIBLE man great stuff. My phone hasn't went from powered on to M2D up and running this fast EVER!

The available RAM is AWESOME man. 47M available when it's all up and running as opposed to 42-44M on previous versions.

Only thing I'd like is the volume control setup the way it was in v19 (mapped to the side ok with the black volume screen). What do I need to do to get that back? I'm assuming it was done with that AEButton Plus or whatever it was called. I never opened/played with it in v19 so I'm not sure that was it's function rather than HButton. I'm looking thru the /windows folder as i type this and i see VoluPop which pops up the oldschool default but I can't find what triggers the black volume screen from the task bar. Anyone know?

fantastic job Reza.....1 problem for me I can sync hotmail fine and yahoo mail but not gmail. I get synchronization error and can not connect to media net error. Any advise?

If you dont like flashing via microsd card then you can flash cmonex's HardSPL using the activesync method and simply using her .nbh file instead of jockys, but you MUST put jockys on first.

You might also need to reflash your rom after you upgrade the HardSPL, but only if you still get the freezes after flashing.

and I don't want Abusalza fix this pwr btn issue, just asking if anybody turned this crappy "feature" off and would like to know how to do it.

Just want to say i did everything in your GUIDE when i first got my phone IT HELPED me so much and i would recommend it to anyone and every Rom i have flashed ever since there has been no problem with the lagging, i wasn't keen on v20 BUT V21 is a lot better so i will have to change my Sig and i do not have the power problem another outstanding ROM

What i did was go into FILE EXPLORER -WINDOWS and go to com manager copy and paste to START MENU
Then the com manager will be assigned to BUTTON 6 as it usually is

I just go to the settings tab and select comunications and it goes to the comm manager, easy

In the task bar or on the screen, The manila Diamond theme does not have an analog clock included.

I believe advanc config will set it to show in the task bar in manila.

From what i can remember these Roms do not have the analog skin you need to load a skin that has the analog using M2D i use Diamond Gold that has both clock or try a different one

If you install theme in sig then use the backup of original theme in M2DC you will have an analog clock as it's just that the analog clock files are not in the Windows Directory, "So could use any theme with analog clock"

Use M2DC (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392) for changing theme and do a backup to which is one of the setting tabs.
If you had to use a .cab or manually copy them in you would need to stop M2D via Settings\Today\Items
