but the BEST PART OF THIS ROM since I had my ATT tilt (almost a year) is the

LOAD SPEAKERPHONE :)

This rom has the loudest speaker phone of ANY ROM I used
all other roms the speakerphone was so low it sounded like it wasn't even on.

Now it sounds LOUD like a Nextel radio

Nope, connection to PC has always been a breeze with all other ROMs, and I've used them all...Duttys', Schaps, HyperDragon, Shogunmark, L26, Garmin...I've just re-installed Windows Mobile Device Center but still very unstable connection...

I was wondering if the TouchFlo 3D Objective is very far to be reached for you.:)
Please,give your ROMs a bit more colorfull options,as to be able to costumize Today Screen. Color is the greatest visual addiction.

yes it is,if you try mbarvian and sj rom,you will know thats opal volume control in this rom is little bit lag,.if i slide up or down, the indicator lag for half second....

Installed tonight and so far so good. One thing I have noticed....

It seems that Manilla cooked into the ROM shows all day appointments as "12:00am-11:50pm". When installed manually it shows as "All Day"

Any thoughts on that?

2.) Install ATW Swap phcanOverbmp.dll.cab

3.) Soft reset.

4.) Enjoy

Note: You will no longer have a the battery icon show %. It will replace the G, E, 3G, and H icons.

Just ran across another little hiccup for ATT users in the USA. If you install the CUSTEL Cingular video so you can use ATT video service, it will now disable PIE. I tried the CUSTEL cab on the new L26 ROM and it worked. Just one more suggestion if you are taking suggestions for future development.

BTW, still a great ROM overall with the exception of the minor little things I have found: Cingular video disabling PIE and the RedFly drivers causing the dialer to default to standard (was able to reload Opal canvas but it did take up 4 MB on my phone), no animated startup splash (this is the only ROM that did not support).

I love the free storage memory this ROM gave me. I have just about all my software loaded and I'm still at 90 MB of free space which is more than the new L26 M2D and NATF ROMs straight out of the box.

I really appreciate you removing the Landscape M2D, it did not do it for me and caused problems. If you are taking suggestions, these are some of my personal things I saw from testing all the current M2D ROMs this weekend and would be great in a future ROM:

Opal SIP
The blue Comm Manager from L26s='s ROM
The ability to "draw" on pictures in Album (Garmin, MBarvian, NATF)

I agree with you on that one. The ROM would be near perfection for me if I could only get back the white icons. ATW's cab a few posts back doesn't quite change it back.

I have the power issue too where I have to push it twice to turn the screen on. It seems to be intermittent though.

You need disable GPRS.

Go to Start/settings/System/Advanced config/menu/More setting/Connections=>>
-Media Net.............Enable or disable
-AT&T IPS GPRS......Enable or disable

Next,click OK/Done/soft reset,enjoy.

As I posted before, this is the "best" rom for AT&T Tilt users.
I've had V5 running for 24hours now, and result so far is awsome.
I did notice that by using V5 and 1.65.28.25, my Tilt never shows 3G icon anymore. It always shows H. I don't have battery drain issue with this.
Is it good or bad? Whatever the reason, I have no complaints.

One minor issue, I get alot of text messeges and most of the other roms I have tried let me "hold and scroll "select all the messeges I want to delete. But this and few others won't let me select messeges this way. It's hard to delete 24 out of 50 sms one by one.Is this a setting issue or "bug"?

I also respect the chef for his creation, whatever colours he put him in, check my sig too. If you don't like the colours, try change it yourself, if failed, you have many other options. Don't sweat it too much... :D

I've no problem turning wifi on or off at V3, only I noticed, when connected trough active sync the wifi option will be disabled..

I can confirm this on V5 as well. If ActiveSync is on, wifi is disabled in commManager.

Thanks for the excellent ROM. The ROM is fast...One issue I have is that when selecting 'Mark All as Read' option in Messages it brings up a 'Settings' dialog...This is a bug...Hope you can release a patch...


Also would be nice if there is a Mark as Read option in the Home Screen itself while going through the snapshot view of the messages.

yeah, my understanding is it's just the dialer, cause the opal dialer doesn't support video dialing.

Well it's something actually built into virtually all new WM 6.1 roms, so my guess is that it requires editing a file that needs to be cooked in to work, but of course that is merely a guess. SJ is waiting on confirmation that it works at this point i'm pretty sure.

Well I went to external GPS unchecked Manage separate, restarted , checked manage separate, ran gps test, seems to run good for now, tomtom started in about 15 sec., google maps is pretty quick, so far.......

I was able to get my GPS working after taking the advice of scotchua. I had to enabled AGPS using KaiserTweak then disable it again. Now GPS is working fine.

how did you get m2d working in landscape (kindof)? i have not seen anyone mention this but for me the background is good, the slider is at to bottom of the screen, the weather page is perfect, the map search page works but to one side, and the program page is perfect. what did you do to achieve this?

was it an xml change? when i change the theme from the yours it goes back to the broken non useable version of m2d. this is what makes me think you changed some xml"s.

check your radio version. you might wanna flash a new radio like mine.

As for the new camera, i think you should include it if possible because there is a cab for the old camera if a user would like it instead, but there is not a working cab for the new camera, and as such we cannot install the new camera even if we want to.

Dual weather would be great. Also if possible i'd like to see you cook in the patched manila2d.exe file so that we don't have to copy it over to add custom cities to the weather tab, but i understand if you are like SJ in believing it is best to use the original rather than a patched version in the rom.

Exactly my point. There are two groups of people: MSVC against cyberon and u will never satisfy both groups. So not including it in rom and give them the possibility to choose is the best way to go.

I like the small vibrate when a call is answered - can you make the same happen when a call is ended? Looking at my screen to make sure the caller has gone before I can burp is annoying.... a short vibrate would solve!

In outlook the email inbox shows 'delete' option on the bottom left soft button. In messages it shows 'reply' - I can reply by clicking the message..... I've searched for the reg edit as I know I've done it before..... but can I find the damn thing.......

I'm a fan of WkTask because of the active icons along the top bar and the option to choose which applications minimise on X or actually close. Is this something you can integrate - it doesn't seem to function properly when I've installed? (May just be my preference of course).

Sorry if this was already posted, but on v5, when deleting email if I go to menu/Delete All, then when I click on it, it starts bluetooth and doesn't delete any. So I have to select messages with stylus in order to delete all. Not a big deal, just making sure you knew about it.

Requests like these are indeed personal preference. :rolleyes: I don't like WkTask and I always remove the Soft Reset from the Start Menu because it takes up valuable space in the start menu.

I suggest using Sashimi to customize this ROM to your own preferences and let the Chef decide how he wants to make the base ROM. With nearly 60,000 hits on this thread so far... personal preference requests are starting to annoy me. :P

The same with any inclusion of MS Voice Command etc.... install the cab if needed.

I'm guessing you are referring to the photos in post 1. I think the photos haven't been updated from the previous versions which were using a mortscript to do everything... (Uses Mortscript to automatically switch to RLToday when you switch to landscape, then switches back once you switch back to portrait!)

You could just use the HTC Action Screen. It installs to your Programs folder and you can assign it to a button. Not sure about the Manilla style quick list though.

Thanx I have it on my SD card I uninstalled it but I might install it back on. Hey Just to let you guys know I tried out L26 M3D cab and it installed fine and it works fine its pretty smooth. only thing is it might slow down the phone but I think it slowed my phone down due to the fact that I had this rom installed. But I liked the weather tab and the music. Everything is pretty much animated weather got the birds flying around, etc. I liked it alot.

V5 has been the longest ROM I have used on my TyTN II! Pretty much stable. Battery life with eMo radio is ok. not fantastic but ok. thinking of changing radio due to kb lag on the W key. AND this is the ONLY current ROM where Mapking works!!!

Don't change the colors! it makes your ROM unique. I didn't like it at first but eventually I got accustomed to it.
Don't include Windows Live, Opera and MSVC or VC! we can install cabs if need be of these apps.
I haven't been able figure out what the battery app you're using...

Sliding Keyboard backlight. After using it and leaving it open, it will automatically turn off. If I use the HW KB again, the backlight doesn't turn back on.

Looks like lots of people were waiting for this release! I know ive been checking the page every 5 minutes. 2 hour download on a t1 line at work... good thing ive got so much spare time to keep up with your ROMs!! LOL

Just been lurking around the xda page a few months trying to learn without making a huge noob out of myself.... so here i go.

I have tried almost every popular rom/radio combo for my AT&T Tilt and a few friends T-mob Wings. This one is my most recent favorite. With its very eye catching interface contrasting the black with bright notification colors makes it easy to glance at the phone and see its status. The sleek graphics, and the stable fast performance make it everything ive been looking for in 1 package. (not to say that won't change in 6 hours, as soon as one of the other brilliant chefs on this page cooks up something to trump this one.)

Thank you guys (all of you) for your work in making my crappy americanized bloat-ware laden phone, into something i can actually use, without wanting to smash it into the ground!! I will try to get the appropriate donations out as soon as i can!

I figured it was time to put in my first post with a suggestion/question.

I dont really have any complaints or bugs, everything is working smoothly, and it looks like you have spent a lot of time on this rom. I was totally surprised when i turned on my BT headset and the BT logo on my phone was not blue!!! :eek: Its not like its a big deal. The BT works just fine... phone makes phone calls... and the browser definately browses... so its not the end of the world. I'd say with the other 3,254 things you fixed that i can let you slide on this one! :D

Is there any way to modify these and change the color? I searched the forum with no luck so if i missed something obvious feel free to flame :cool:

Something else i just thought of while waiting for v6 to download is that I cant get the HTC.gif to load on your rom... maybe something you could cook into them? It would go well with the rest of your sleek black rom.

Maybe its something you could concider for V7 release in a couple days? LOL :p

Are you trying to use a custom weather city.

If so you need to replace your manila.exe in your /windows folder that will allow you to update custom cities.

I know scotchua has posted the fix many times in SJ's thread.
