I flashed from V19 to X3 and after taking a video today I tried to play it on my PC. The video works but has no audio. This wasn't the case with the previous ROM. Not sure if anyone else has experienced or reported it.

The V19 ROM does weird things too, like open Footprints during a call and a load of other things I'm sure were probably mentioned. Guess I'll try X4 but I really need my video to have audio. :confused:

I suggest you update your radio, and perhaps hardspl as well.

Hi all,
After some testing with V3, I went back to V2 because of the minor bugs in it. ie Igo etc.
Now im trying to replace the splash screen of my phone. I have a bios splash at the start now, and as 2nd screen I want to replace animation.gif in the
/Windows directory. If I replace it with another GIF file and soft-reset, I get the new GIF file, but it keeps flashing.

If I use Advanced config, it will setup reg keys here:
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\

ie: the link to the new gif file, startup wave file etc. They are missing in this rom because I think they get overriden by:

HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation\
Here you will see ShutDownGif / ShutDownWav / StartupGif with the correct info in it. ie: StartupGIF is set to \Windows\Animation.gif

Now why is it, when I replace the animation.gif, it keeps on flashing? Is there any value that will setup the GIF Speed in this rom or anything like that? If so, where is it hidden?


Then 2nd question, I always used advanced config normally to change this splash thingy, now since it has problable other reg settings for it, why don't I have the option to change the volume of the startup wav for example? When I check the homepage of advanced config, on the screenshots it shows as a default settings? How/Where is that adjusted? :)


If something is unclear, please don't hesitate to ask, since my main language is not English ;)

No such issues with v.19 as you have...
Your problems with Video sounds more like you don't have the required codecs on your PC to play the video. CCCP http://cccp-project.net/ make sure no other Codec Packs installed & for Media Player VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/)

HardSPL: 3.31 & 3.34
Radio: 1.65.29.22, 1.70.19.09 & 1.71.09.01

Mix & match those. Each person gets a different experience depends on where they live. I've never tried HardSPL 3.31 or Radio 1.65.29.22 before but I can tell you 3.34 keep Abu's Ultimate-X ROMs running very smoothly.

ROM: V19 is very stable. A lot of people prefer it. I'm currently using Ultimate X.V2. It's pretty stable for me. Don't forget to install the patches for X-V2. Try V21 out if you want. It's also among the favorites in this forum.

X.V3 seems to be giving the folks here "a lot" of trouble but it's still great. I believe Abu has decided to take it off. You can wait until X.V4 get released. It's going to be awesome like always.

2G just refers to dialer.... You will still get 3G network coverage...

1- Some of my apps when installing they show a licence m how can I get rid of it ?!
2- Suppose I installed resco explorer and I configured it according to my preference and I register it , how can I export the modified settings of it from the registery, so that when I install it again I just import the registery of my preferred settings ?

after i flashed my phone the incoming call number shows like that
(010) 65-34387 but after i Synchronize my contacts it showed like 0106534387

I just haven't updated my sig, I'm using radio version 1.71.x.x and I have never been able to change my hardspl after the first one. It just won't take no matter what I do.:(

The SPL you are using isn't mean't for 6.1 ROM's. I'm surprised it is working well for you (then again maybe it isn't). Reread the instructions for flashing a SPL and get yourself up to something more compatible. I prefer either 3.29 or 3.31 but others have good luck with others. It just depends on where you are.

Initially I thought this was a stroke of genius!! It seems to have worked for some but did not work for me. I set both settings (AC and Battery resuming from suspend) to Custom and reset the phone, but no luck. Still have to double press.

SSPL-KAIS gives me a white screen. JumpSPL-1.94 works but when I try to update I get the 262 error on both XP and Vista. The reason I'm still using the older version is because the dang phone fights me every step of the way when trying to update.

Since you still have that spl and cant flash a new one you need to flash it from a SD card. That should work.

Well, I have read through the threads, tried the suggestions and the damn phone is still stuck on SPL-1.0. I managed to get it right the first time but, now it doesn't want to cooperate. I'll keep trying...

AI tried the file you sent me, put it on the SD card and reset, it runs, i try to then flash the SPL via my PC. It zooms through the process in about 3 seconds but doesn't update. If I try it the "normal' way I get the 262 error. It has been awhile since I unlocked this thing and don't remember exactly what steps I took to get there but, I'm pretty certain I had to do it with XP and I've been trying most of today with Vista. Although, I did try once on the XP machine and it didn't work there either. A bit frustrating I must say...

Now I'm getting obsessed with it because I hate being defied by a machine.

I will give V4 a shot but I have to tell you that V3 has been near perfect for the way i use the phone. The couple of things I wanted back you have included in V4 but taking away MSVC is a bummer. I know I can install it from a cab but it will never work as well as when it is cooked in. Just my 2 cents worth.

oh yeah... 64% now, using my friends simcard from indosat... :D

I'm no idiot and have relatively good reading comprehension. I have also never had any trouble EXCEPT when trying to change my SPL. I've tried XP, Vista, 3 or 4 different methods suggested by forum threads and users. I do recall having the white screen issue way back when I first started flashing it but it doesn't seem to be a problem now. The issue is either it gives me a 262 error or runs through the process, tells me it was successful but doesn't update the SPL.

Tried 1.93 on XP and it just goes through to 100% in about 2 seconds but doesn't change the SPL. I'm taking a break because if I don't my phone not live through the day... ;)

I agree, has not fixed mine either.
The 1 second settings would be the same for everyone who downloads the ROM, some have the double press issue and others don't. Some have changed it to custom and had the problems resolved and others haven't.

Folks, this issue right here is a good enough reason to donate to the Chef...i bet there are literally hundreds of people using this ROM...even if it's only a buck or two it does add up and if reza can get a better connection (he's uploading using his PHONE with a friends sim no less, wtf yo?) all this waiting and shite for the new releases would hopefully end...

So, if you use this ROM series, you like it, and want to keep it going, toss whateva spare change/couch money/beer duckets you can to the man!

Try flashing the HTC rom first. then do the SPL starting from the beginning with JumpSPL...I remember I tried changing SPLs while skipping the JumpSPL part and it temporary flashed until I softreset.

Yes i have tried every spl and configuration you can imagine. For the most part it seemed to solve the issue for maybe a day. I think its something to do with the hacked drivers we use. Its only the newer builds that do it. And if you use the phone that the builds come from there is no double tap issue. So it leads me to think its the drivers.
But who knows. If you look back through this thread you will see that there has been a few "fixes" that never quite seem to work. Some phones it works on and others it doesnt. Same with the whole issue. Some have never had it. Like i said who knows for sure.

If you like that rom stick with it. There is no way possible that its faster than this rom. Thats why i say if you like it stick with it. It all depends on what you want. There are alot of roms out there. None of them are as organized as these. Look at the folders and the layout. Thats where its at. There are not too many roms if any that are as organized as this one. I could make a rom right now that is faster than anything out there......but nothing would be in the right place :D It takes alot of time to make a great rom. If you dont think so look up kitchens and download a few. Make your own rom....meaning adding your own apps. Then let me know how fast it is. Yeah i know i need to chill. I dunno. But hey. Just do what i said and i will let you know what i want you to add :rolleyes:

Any ETA available on the much talked about V4. I have been testing Abu's ROMs since yesterday and I found them to be pretty good. I am hoping that it might solve my iGO not launching problem too. There are many good features in this ROM and the speed is very good too, for me speed alone is not enough, speed with features thats what I like to see, and Abu has both, also I had no crashes or freezes. I installed successfully MSVC and SecondToday and it worked fine on the both V2s and V3s.

Anyone having GPS problems on google maps for V2? I know the kaiser doesn't have the quickest ability to lock gps, but this is ridiculous. I don't know if it is the rom or what, but when I enable "use gps" in google maps, it almost doesn't even work. I used it in the car to get somewhere, and it was basically worthless. I had to find my destination myself without true directions. On earlier rom versions, gps worked much better. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Can you please resolve the double press issue by cooking the fix into the rom?

Here is the fix:

start>settings>system tab>advaced config>power

there are two settings which pertain to waking the phone up. both will be set to 1sec. you have to change it to "custom"

Ok, I have had those settings set to different times, and to custom before, and have always had the double press " issue" ( not an issue ) in the later 6.1 builds. I currently have them set to 60 secs.

Here is what those settings do :
AC Resume from Suspend : It sets the time allowed to launch scheduled tasks while in standby on AC power. It resolves the alarm not going off and emails not being retrieved while in sleep,issue.

Battery Resume from Suspend : This sets the time allowed to launch scheduled tasks while in standby on battery power. Resolves the same issues as above, while on battery power.

Can't see what these settings have to do with the side power button ?

Excuse the n00bness, but what is the difference between a 2G and 3G dialer?
It means that the dialer is different. It has nothing to do with the network coverage (which will be 3G, if your operator supports it, no matter what ROM version you use).
The main difference between 3G and 2G dialers is that with a 3G one, you can make video calls ;) (again, if your operator supports this feature...)

I've ran into no problems with V3-Lite-(S) with the way I use my phone.. I'll be flashing V4-Lite-(S) when it comes but only for the 2g dialer (if I install the opal dialer on v3, my ringtone doesn't sound when I get a phone call... well i guess this was the only problem now that i think about it)

If you like that rom stick with it. There is no way possible that its faster than this rom. Thats why i say if you like it stick with it. It all depends on what you want. There are alot of roms out there. None of them are as organized as these. Look at the folders and the layout. Thats where its at. There are not too many roms if any that are as organized as this one. I could make a rom right now that is faster than anything out there......but nothing would be in the right place :D It takes alot of time to make a great rom. If you dont think so look up kitchens and download a few. Make your own rom....meaning adding your own apps. Then let me know how fast it is. Yeah i know i need to chill. I dunno. But hey. hmm.. just installed it.

weird issue i have never had before. at the Tap screen for setup after flashing, i did a Hard reset. The device just shut off after hittin the reset button. I couldnt power it back on.
Had to yank out the battery.

It's booting now and did a proper hard reset.
glad its back on. whew...

1. Plug the device into your PC
2. Copy JumpSPL (either 1.56, 1.93 or 1.94) to your device.
3. Take out your SD card & SIM Card.
4. Run Jump SPL on your device
5. Wait for the bootloader screen to appear and "USB" to show.
6. Right-click activesync, go into connection settings and ensure Allow USB Connections is unchecked
7. Unplug your device from the USB port, wait 5 - 20 seconds, plug it back in.
8. Run KaiserCustomRUU.exe and flash the SPL

Hey Tilt, have you tried changing the GPS Settings in Google Maps? I think it's under options (can't check right now, flashing v4 now...). Change to Com Port 4. Might help you out. Or you can install GPS Test, run this before opening Google, then minimize.

Reza.... your latest ROM V4 is indeed your best so far... You must have put lot of hard work into it, and it shows ... It is a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us.

It is surprisingly blazing fast considering the number of programs Reza has added, and so far it is very robust without one single freeze.

One recommendation though, that for those flashing it over a cooked ROM, make sure you do a hard reset as some of you will not be able to adjust time zone for your location. Abu had re-located the time zone reg string, and defaulted it to +8GMT. It will lock at that if a hard reset is not done.

Also, beamed files will download on main memory unless you manually change the download box location. There are some programs out there that will take care of that automatically such as OBEX-In-box.

I love the organization of folders and files.... I have not yet uploaded SPB MoShell3.01 yet, but I will later after I load the rest of my programs.

I think you can enable SD Card automatic detect and the ini files will initiate the program installation as i think you have all your programs located on SD card. ABU disabled the SD Card detection as it might have been a culprit in some freezing symptom.

i had using RunCC.exe from topaz/rhodium stuff to change AutoRun.exe
the installation script working on the background and finishing by ConnectionSetup.exe
after all you will saw the warning "your device will reboot on 5 seconds (or something similar like that)and bla...bla..."

Also, the large menu is not start menu. You know when you click on soft button (either left or right start button), in your rom the menu that shows is really large, like in windows mobile 6.5, can you make soft button menu like in windows mobile 6.1 roms, for lite version? I think lite should habe as little enhacements and programs and customizations as possible. I am still using your v2 lite because it has plenty storage and everything works, but it will be nice to have super ram version of v2 lite with less programs like total commander, gps tool, java , downloaders etc.

The large menus are the Rhodium enhanced menus and can be shut off in advanced config.

oh... that's menu enhancement. you can disable menu enhancement throught advanced config (setting - system) under user interface options.

Hey Tilt, have you tried changing the GPS Settings in Google Maps? I think it's under options (can't check right now, flashing v4 now...). Change to Com Port 4. Might help you out. Or you can install GPS Test, run this before opening Google, then minimize.

V2 Lite runs the best on my Tilt. Installed latest M2D and SPB 3 with the OpenVG driver to correct the power off issue and everything works fine. Tried V4. Kinda laggy. Went back to V2 Lite. My 2 cents.

If you meant the customization - I have the same stuff. No customization. Just the warning - Customization in 5 secs, but instead only a reboot. Can I install it otherwise? (something simplier than xml and sashimi :) ).

To me Sashimi is the simplest way of doing it. Install it on the SD Card and when you insert after a flash it just does its stuff.

I think though that there are two issues here:
1. Abu has hidden the customisation after hard reset that his ROM does. It is happening but you're just not seeing it.
2. A file that Sashimi and other UC files need to process SDConfig.txt is hidden or missing. Thats the issue I was reporting.

I think you can enable SD Card automatic detect and the ini files will initiate the program installation as i think you have all your programs located on SD card. ABU disabled the SD Card detection as it might have been a culprit in some freezing symptom.

I think thats a different issue - yes, I noticed that inserting the card didn't autorun Sashimi so I ran Sashimi manually from the card.

Sashimi ran fine until it got to the part where it started processing SDConfig and then threw the error I mentioned.

On the off chance that its related, I'll try reenabling the auto detect feature and let you know if it works.

But as I said, no biggie since I've now migrated completely off SDConfig.

the installation script working on the background and finishing by ConnectionSetup.exe
after all you will saw the warning "your device will reboot on 5 seconds (or something similar like that)and bla...bla..."

Thanks for taking the time to respond, Abu. This is really not a problem for me and a small change in my process fixed it all. I agree that the UC process you're running after HR works perfectly and its nice that it happens in the background; it was just Sashimi's processing of SDConfig which was affected.

I've had this ROM on for about 12 hours now and am really appreciating the work you've put into it. Its quick, polished and stable so far.

+1 to Asfoors "masterpeice" comment for Rezas' ver.4. Dig the clean start menu, and the add progs is blazing fast when searching (most comment how each iteration is faster than the next when they're really about the same though ver 4 is the real deal); makes ver 19 look like the model T. For anyone skittish about leaving their 19 behind, ver. 4 is it. M2d might seem a bit sluggish in comparison to older builds at first glance, but it's much more practical imo since it's now toned down for more deliberate action to get where you want to go without super sliding back and forth; was Too fast before. Beautiful work Reza :D

I dont know where everyone has got the impression that there is going to be a PDACorner version with Mobile Shell 3 cooked in. For starters there would be a whole mess of licencing agreements to go through or cooking in a trial version which just wouldnt be viable. Just install MS3 on the lite version and upgrade easily when the next beta is released.

I just installed the v2 version and I can say for certain it IS NOT the same dialer. This one is good but it doesn't look the same as the one in V3. Another thing to note is the creator left his sig in the upper left corner which is a real bummer.:(

No doubt. I've tried Mobile Shell, PointUI and some other shell that isn't worth mentioning and these roms with touchflo blow them away, in every way. And with the constantly updated versions it should be worth a few bones. These are (IMO) the best roms out in terms of professional quality. X.V4 has to be my fav so far.

If you stay with v3 you will always have the dot pixel crash. Can't speak for the other functionality. I like the MSVC from v3 but it's no longer present. I'm sure it's around in a .cab.

It use to work fine on my unlocked Kaiser on WM 6.0 and WM 6.1 HTC releases, then I heard that there is a WM 6.5 out there which gave me the urge to upgrade. I found the PDAVIET_KAISER_WM6.5_V23 and upgraded my Kaiser. IGO installed on it but did not launch also I found that WM 6.5 was a bit to heavy and complicated so decided to go back to WM6.1. However on all the different ROMs that I tried IGO installs but just refuses to launch execpt one time with Abu’s “V21_2G_Full” when I installed SecondToday for the first time (last Friday) and launched IGO it worked. I closed the app and relaunched it and it worked every time, But after I did a soft rest it stoped working and has not worked again since then even with SecondToday. My GPS hardware is ok and works fine with Google Maps and another GPS navigation software an older version of iGuidanec ver. 4.0.

I found Abu’s ROM thread and read many many of the 970 pages with 9697 posts so far and saw on Abu’s release notes “Fixed IGO8 freeze or restart” also many people reporting that iGO working fine on their device, but it is still not working on mine so definitely it is a single user issue. Something has happened on my device that is preventing from iGO to launch. Once maybe on my third flash I forgot to take out my SIM and microSD card, I don’t know if that would make any difference. Beside this I had no problem with my device, no crashes or freezes.

At the moment I am using Abu’s new Ultimate-X_V4.Premium-S.2G, radio 1.65.16.25, SPL 3.34 Dave Shaw and installed SecondToday and 3G dialer and have not faced any problem of any kind. It is a very stable and very beautiful ROM. His M2D works great 5 locations in weather tab updates pretty swiftly and all the short cuts work good, Media Player works great so is Bluetooth both with voice and data transfer. Over all A1 job on this ROM.

Although I don’t have any programming experience but I can follow instructions. I have spend better part of last 2 weeks trying to fix iGO problem as it is very important for me with my kind of vision problem (legally blind) I appreciate any help and THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TIME.

The main advantage for people who like their Today plugins is that with the new Mobile Shell 3.0.1 beta theres a widget that switches from MS3 to the Standard Today Screen with a single press, then can be switched back instantaneously to MS3 with a single soft key press.

Hard Reset is the most thorough reset you can perform as it clears all memory and resets all files to default. Try a different Radio or probably the best option is a newer version of iGO as iGO and WM6.1 didnt work very well at all up until about august 2008. All 8.3.2 versions run perfectly.

I just DL the Ultimate X.V4 Lite-S and i've got to say that its very stable and fast although i was surprised to find Footprints, EZInput & the numerous games since previous lite versions did not include the said apps. Anyways i'll be playing with the ROM and give more feedback ASAP.

My phone no longer soft-resets. Seriously. Either from software or the soft-reset button. It will shut down, and it wont power back up with the side power button, I have to hit the soft-reset button with the stylus to get it to come back on...weirdest thing I've seen on my phone in almost 2 years. Tried flashing v4 again, thinking I got a bad flash maybe, and the issue is still there. Anyone else seen this?

[edit 2] ok, so i flashed a stock att rom, and this reset problem went away. flashed v4 again, and it came back. the damn phone wont soft reset on its own. if i press the soft-reset button with the stylus its goes black, and wont come back on til i press the soft-reset button again, at which time it actually DOES the soft reset. WTF?

I miss naked version....without keyboard customization and audiomenager 2.0
first make a mess whith ae keyboard maper , and second (audio-manager without volume adjustment) makes my handset useless.

Does Audio Manager 1.0 work OK in the music tab of manilla? For me, when I press library I get a distortioned screen. I find Volume control extremely usefull, as you do, and that's why I keep using audio manager 1.

Even though iGO8 version 8.3.2 has been reported as working on X4 it does seem to a hit and miss experience. I tried several builds of this version and could not get any of them to start while A-GPS is on. Without it they work quite well and get fixes in maximum 2 mins. I guess I'll just have to work with that.

V4 is truly a fantastic ROM!!!; gives me a great excuse to stop flashing for a long time:)...I have no longer the 10s brightness issue when I connect to the corporate Exchange server!

One minor issue for those who like games: when you play Hearts and at any time you abort the game by hitting the "x" to close the window, you can no longer play anymore because you are not able to pass cards (the OK button is no longer available). This issue has been present in all of Abu's ROMS.

Again, what a great ROM this V4!!. A tribute to this chef is the record number of posts this thread handles.

Enjoying v4 lite as with all his great ROMS. However this thread has (almost) turned into a combined PDACorner/ Spb Mobile Shell love in. I want to put in a pitch for Smart Touch http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=386133. Its less complicated, has a nice drag and drop set up for favorite apps and easy toggling from Smart Touch to the Today screen for my plugins. It fits my needs near perfectly. (go to response #504 in the thread to download the CAB)

Hard Reset is the most thorough reset you can perform as it clears all memory and resets all files to default. Try a different Radio or probably the best option is a newer version of iGO as iGO and WM6.1 didnt work very well at all up until about august 2008. All 8.3.2 versions run perfectly.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Abu is the greatest I just tried Ultimate-X.V4.Lite-S.2G. Then after connecting my wi-fi and Bluetooth and restoring my backups I installed IGO8 and it worked like a charm. So far I have done multiple shut downs and re-starts and multiple soft re-sets and every time I launch IGO8 it comes out like a charm, no problem at all. I will be taking it for the road test in little while.

I hope it stays that way after I install other applications. First I want to try out Mskip’s Widgets Pro Plus for Mobile Shell 3.01 beta (for QVGA and WQVGA). If that doesn’t workout then I will go back to M2D. I also like to use voice phone dialer which is very handy for a person like me. Oh ya, on Mskip’s advice (thanks Mskip for the valueable advice) earlier I updgraded my radio to KAIS_RADIO_ONLY_1.71.09.01. At that time I had Ultimate-X_V4.Premium-S.2G but IGO refused to work on that even after a hard reset. I can’t figure it out why.

For all you IGO users I will keep posting my progress and look forward to any advice any of you would like to offer.

iGO8 has never worked with Assisted GPS turned on.

Upgraded to v4 and the only problem I found by now is the jogging wheel does not function when I have a call in. From v2 and earlier, whenever I receive a phone call, I just need to jog the wheel (on left side, under PTT button, normally used for volume control) and the phone will be silence, no more sound nor vibration, and then I can decide to Answer or Ignore (i.e. Refuse). From v3, I start to have this problem and I don't know how to just switch off the ring and vibration when I run off the meeting room before I press Answer.

Can anyone help to get the function back? Thanks.

After the ROM installation during the first boot sequence, the HTC logo appears and there was audio. Now when I reboot the phone, there is no audio when the HTC logo appears. I have experienced this with every ROM I've every used. It is no big deal but I've always found this odd and wondered if anyone else experienced the same behavior. I've tried using Advanced Config and that has no affect. Is there any way to make that boot sound play every boot?

I'm talking about the second boot image, the one that appears after the PDA Corner image. When my phone booted the first time (the set up phase) there was a boot sound during that HTC logo and now it doesn't play it.

I dont know where everyone has got the impression that there is going to be a PDACorner version with Mobile Shell 3 cooked in. For starters there would be a whole mess of licencing agreements to go through or cooking in a trial version which just wouldnt be viable. Just install MS3 on the lite version and upgrade easily when the next beta is released.

My bad. My preference is that it's not cooked in since I expect 3.0.1, 3.0.2, 3.0.3....etc. to be showing up over the next year or so.

Well back to an Abusalza rom. so it must be Monday, the only rom series that I trust not to leave me stranded with a frozen phone on a work day.

As always, V.4 is great, there are a lot of solid, stable roms out there, but it is the subtleties that put you head and shoulders above the rest. The 3 tiered side OK button , the quick and easy volume control, the action screen soft key ( I use it constantly )
the pre-loaded program tab, the PDA Corner shortcut on the browser tab, the quick comm manager short cut from button 6, the custom splash screen and on and on.

It is like buying a car and having the dealer say, " You can add this and this and this "
or for the same price, "you can have this car fully equipped with all the options already on it "

As I said, I test a lot of roms, and they are all excellent, but I always find myself really missing the little Reza extras. You truely have a knack for giving people what they want and what they need, even if they don't know what they need. Great new version as always.

I haven't noticed anyone talking about activesync, so I am thinking it is just my phone. Does anyone else have AS running all the time ? Whenever I look at my phone it is always running, When it wakes from sleep, it is always running. Maybe I just notice it more than others, because I am running WK Task and all my running programs are always displayed on my taskbar. But I never noticed this in earlier Ultimate or Corner roms. Any one else ?

Do you use messenger on your phone ? I don't use messenger, just standard SMS, so I have my @live.com account set up as a pop3 account instead of an internet mail account and have never had a problem with it.

I see you can set the wav in Advanced Config under HTC Animation, where I usually disable the shutdown sound (that is the same). I think you can hear it at the first start up only 'cause it will be disabled on first config phase (and I appreciate it).

Hi all,
After some testing with V3, I went back to V2 because of the minor bugs in it. ie Igo etc.
Now im trying to replace the splash screen of my phone. I have a bios splash at the start now, and as 2nd screen I want to replace animation.gif in the
/Windows directory. If I replace it with another GIF file and soft-reset, I get the new GIF file, but it keeps flashing.

If I use Advanced config, it will setup reg keys here:
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\

ie: the link to the new gif file, startup wave file etc. They are missing in this rom because I think they get overriden by:

HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCAnimation\
Here you will see ShutDownGif / ShutDownWav / StartupGif with the correct info in it. ie: StartupGIF is set to \Windows\Animation.gif

Now why is it, when I replace the animation.gif, it keeps on flashing? Is there any value that will setup the GIF Speed in this rom or anything like that? If so, where is it hidden?


Then 2nd question, I always used advanced config normally to change this splash thingy, now since it has problable other reg settings for it, why don't I have the option to change the volume of the startup wav for example? When I check the homepage of advanced config, on the screenshots it shows as a default settings? How/Where is that adjusted?


If something is unclear, please don't hesitate to ask, since my main language is not English

if I create a new appointment in Outlook with some notes, after the synchronization these notes become an unreadable symbols if I want to edit them on my phone.

I see you can set the wav in Advanced Config under HTC Animation, where I usually disable the shutdown sound (that is the same). I think you can hear it at the first start up only 'cause it will be disabled on first config phase (and I appreciate it).

I DO! Very much to be honest!!
That feature was very handy for me....
i do not like to reject calls in general. besides I often want to finish small things before picking up the phone, eg. when i am talking to somebody and a call comes in, i could mute it, finish my sentence and then pick up the phone two rings later without constantly hearing the ringing sound....

SO PLEASE, how can I reconfigure the jogwheel to mute the phone during an incomming call?!
