Same here...weather will not work through the proxy. Yes, I've overwritten the manilla with the patched one and edited the hh.xml file and added my cities.

This worked with HyperDragon.

Are you trying to use a custom weather city.

If so you need to replace your manila.exe in your /windows folder that will allow you to update custom cities.

I know scotchua has posted the fix many times in SJ's thread.

check out my tutorial about editing the cities, which is among the tutorials linked in my signature. Also it's included in the FAQ thread stickied in this forum. If it works over wifi, but not over the cellular connection, then there is an answer for you there.

No sound from speaker? Make sure you didn't put your phone on silent accidentally.

For the keyboard fix, search "tilt keyboard fix"

Don't post anymore questions or "bugs" until you've looked around a little. You need to put some effort in before you post these silly questions. All that information is easily located.

Great ROM. Maybe the fastest Manila Rom out there.... I have some observations:
1. A hissing sound comes out of the device, especially after I close down media player. It does NOT stop until I do a Soft Reset.
2. I initially had an extra icon on the bottom tray for weather that has the number "4" inside of it. I did a hard reset, and now it does not appear. This is perhaps because I installed the BeyondInviseble's weather icons.
3. You must do a hard reset at least once after flashing the ROM. This ROM is very sensitive to any reg remnants that could have been left behind. Also your old initiation splash screen stays unless you flash over it.
4. Do not install the Analog Clock overlay ie "BeyondInviseble's weather icons Mix"; It will slow down the processor somewhat. Just my experience.
5. had trouble every time I clicked on the "message" icon, the device froze. It all cured after the hard reset.

Sound is working great - the only problem I notices is that when connected through Active Sync and I slide the phone out it is really quick, but it is slow to make the sound and go back to regular when I slide it back.

Sound is fine on mine though.

EDIT: Even when I have 3 alarms set and on right below the time it says "Alarm Off." It doesn't seem that the alarms are working either, because I set the alarm and it didn't go off.

Ok for those who have installed BeyondInvisible 2 page weather icons please confirm if you are getting the following issue:

There is a bug once you've installed these icons you cannot disable touchflo 2D from settings - personal - today - items, it just hangs, you need to do SR!!:-( I did do a hard reset just to make sure but the issue occurs as soon as I install these icons!!

this is bizzare as I did not have this issue with either v4 or v5???

Not sure what's causing this? I have now reverted to defualt weather icons (untill there is a fix)and all is well, other than that so far this is an excellent ROM and can confirm NO issue with the power button twice bug as was the case with v5!

The theme installs fine and works perfectly! but the bug I'm refering to is say for whatever reason you wanted to disable the touchflo 2D from settings-personal-today items, you uncheck it but it does not disable when you comeback to today screen it just hangs!! at first I was baffled as to what was causing this so I thought it could havd been a app I installed and decided to do a hard reset! then I realised I was able to disable touchflo prior to installing this theme as soon as I install this the issue occurs!!!

Apologies if this is a long winded explanation but obviously I have not made my self clear in the earlier post!

P.S. This issue only occurs if I install this specific theme it does NOT occur with my other custom themes just don't understand why this occurs when I did not have this issue with all other versions i.e. v5 or v4????

FJE Arabizer 6.1 works fine. However Mobidiv 407 gives blank screen in SMS. It was working fine in V5. xt9 has to be disabled for word completion to work.

Ok sorry just checked and is there :),i'm using sashimi and mbarvian opal keyboard.can replace it and did not work,hard reset and now it's working.

great rom, seems faster than v5 for me. On opera, when I double tap screen to zoom, it doesn't resize page to fit screen. Instead I have to scroll right and left to see entire page after its zoomed. I tried that and it did not help. I am having intermittent problems with this version (unlike version 5 that was very stable and ran every program I had flawlessly).

Every time a chef cooks the Diamond/Opal style keyboard, I hold my breath because this seems to introduce many problems. To summarize:

1) It is not compatible with the preferred Arabizer from Mobidiv.

2) Cannot read or compose any SMS messages. Only blank screen shows or error message that the message cannot be decrypted.

3) I cannot change the keyboard,not even to Full Querty or Compact Querty.

I loved the speed and stability but the above problems appeared only in V6. V5 was rock solid. Please take it as positive feedback.

No the 3G is for people that have video calling. Video calling in the US is not available. The 2G version is referring to the dialer.

I am having active sync problems as well. If it doesn't connect correctly the first time or if I unplug the usb cable it has a hard time reconnecting. I usually have to do a soft reset to be able to reconnect.

RSS Hub does not allow me to set the Podcast download directory to the storage card.

In RSS Hub, go to Menu->Options->Storage. Enable "Store All Data and podcasts on Card" Click OK.

Error is "Cannot create a file when that file already exists".

This is a empty 6 gig SD card.

Can someone else try this?

I took off the H i disable HSDPA through the advanced network settings. in the connections tab. ATT doesnt use HSDPA.

with resco you don't need to changes properties, just copied and paste. and of course you can show all files too.

manila2d is a today plugin. so if you want deactivated you should open today settings for it.

Yeah, same problem here...

Battery has no 1% meter and it shows always full...

As I mentioned before, there are icons still colored:
G, E, 3G, H and small icons above the signal strength...

Thanks. I am aware of it. However, the preferred Arabizer among the majority of Arab users is Mobidiv's. This also helps the respected Chef pinpoint to the root cause of the problem that keeps surfacing between ROMs.

They're not still coloured for me. Maybe you need to install the SDKCerts first and then it'll work for you. Install the cab below... then reinstall the white icons cab again... then reboot.

- 2g version = 2g dialer
- 3g version = 3g dialer
all my rom has support hsdpa as another kaiser rom:D

I think you've done a excellent job on all your version ROM and have made my remaining time using my Kaiser that more exciting, it's shame if only you had released these ROM 6 months earlier as I will be soon upgrading to Touch HD!!

P.S. I know you get a lot of request for certain apps,theme,colour to be cooked in, hell even if your ROM's can make tea!!! IMHO you stick to what you do best and that is cooking ROM as you are now and thats what make's your ROM's so good! if anybody want's to customise there ROM they just install cabs!!

This is a problem for me as well. I didnt really think anything of it until now. My Gmail account will check the headers, but won't download any email, and my inbox is blank. My yahoo is fine and able to receive email.

First of all, thanks for this ROM. This is the best one I've tried in 8 months for Kaiser. Very good work. State-of-art ROM.

I'm having issues with Yahoo and Gmail that I haven't had before. They were configured automatically, but a synchronization error occurs after send/receive command. I've try to configure manually, but the same thing happen. The Exchange server and Hotmail is OK, Opera runs great, phone is fine, GPS tools fine. I don't know what it is. Even though I'm very please with this ROM.

No issues here.

please keep the file explorer. it has picture preview and more options in the drop down menu. its just plain more usefull.

i dont think mortscript needs to be added there is a cab for that. it is a cool app but requires too much overhead.

keep the opal keyboard, but dont set it as default for the users that dont like it.

please revert to the java used in v5 the new versions font size is either too big or too small.

i wish you would skin m2d to match all of your colored icons.

I have installed msvc 1.6.19214 and it is enabled + in phone option all are tick marked and in notification second one is selected, all other function of msvc worke except incoming call announcement

I think you need to look at your numbers the post on page 1 states 1.70.19.09. You typed in 1.70.19.01 twice? BTW 1.70.19.09 is a radio with amazing battery life from my experience so far.

Because everyone loves the opal dialer, which doesn't have 3G dialing, and ALL the AT&T (in the US) users don't have video calling, and there are a lot of them on the site.

Personally, i'd rather it wasn't included at all. I like this rom so i use it that way anyway, but if it's uninstallable then the cab file has to just sit there taking up space.

yeah it's a tough one for the chef, cause if they don't include it then everyone asks why the internet tab doesn't work. If they do include it then everyone has a different version they prefer. So as a general rule i don't suggest one way or the other, but I agree. I like to choose my own broswer as well...1957 all the way, cause i get tired of that dang screen flipping issue with every other version.

Im not sure thats a fair statement. There are MANY AT&T Tilt users on this site that do not have video calling. There are several video dialers out there to install... go grab one.

I get the impression that Opera 2392 supports flash (when flash Lite 3.1 is installed). Am running ROM v6 (which has Opera 2932). Is there a bug in this ROM that is fixed in V7. Anyway else get flash to work in Opera for V6/V7?

Thank you tylr for your help. I try your link and find some 3G dialers for kaiser, but i have some freeze when i install it. For this experience i flash V5:D of pdacorner ultimate and install all 3G dialers i hae in my possession, but no way:mad:, video calling dosen't well. I think that i don't have the choice now, because all rom i like dosen't support 3G calling:(... i still waiting for pdacorner one:o

Did you use Total Commander to overwrite them? Not that i've ever needed to. I always just disable touchflo and drop them in there. Honestly for the xml file, i don't even need to disable touchflo, but i advise it because some people seem to have troubles with it. I honestly have never been able to replicate the issue that causes people to not be able to overwrite the file, no matter how many times i've tried, even using the same roms...so if total commander doesn't work, i don't know what to tell you.

Note:

I am using 6 custom cities on this rom right now, so i know it's not an issue with the rom.

I haven't tried V7 yet, but I have Opera Mini running on v6. It took 2 installs to get it right and I used a CAB posted in this forum (a few pages back) by AllTheWay.

Total Commander worked for me. I disabled touchflo and then used Total Commander and it worked just fine

There are 2 versions of Opera Mobile. The older version is set up as default as well as when you click on Browser but the new version can be opened only by clicking on the icon under Programs. How can I make the new version as default browser as well as when I click on Browser icon to open the new one???
