I installed TT7 and purchased USA maps, installed everything without a problem. Program works ok but will not use internal GPS. It will use GPSgate and connect but I am still on the trial and would like to get it working without it. I am using th MR1 update and all the other gps programs work fine. Any Ideas??

Mine is set to use the internal GPS on Com4 and the 4800 baud and it will turn on the GPS and lock pretty quickly with the aGPS settings from GC for Verizon.
I have not needed a primer app with TomTom7.

Just tried mine, and it did not need a primer. Just been using it since I had TT6 on my device previously.

Wish I could help...I am on DCD Rom....mine works just by opening and on the internal gps. Ask GC...

Also can confirm that TT7 does not need a primer with the newer dcd roms/radios.
Come to think of it I am sure TT6 also acquires gps signal from the internal device without a primer when using the latest dcd custom roms.

I guess I may need to consider switching ROMs, I was using navigator till I got tomtom. SInce I no longer use it a rom switch may be the answer. I hate the process though, time consuming in my busy world..

I have a xv6800 using the MR1 and GPS cab. Google and Live will connect, but it appears I still need to "Prime" it for TomTom. In addition, TomTom show me in the middle of nowhere and tells me "no usable location near gps".
Any ideas?
