Hi guys,
my Artemis Touch Vanilla 4.02 behaves oddly:
When I have a program open and switch to the today screen and open another programm, then after a few seconds the first program quits without notice. Is happens with virtually every program, which makes it quite annoying.
It looks like the Artemis is running out of memory, but I use Oxios Memory quite often to ensure memory leakage is not a problem. I use Touch Vanilla 4.02 as said, with HTC Task Manager.
I've not had these problems earlier. A soft-reset does not solve the problem.
have you experienced similar problems?? thank you in advance!
cheers

Hello
1.
The HTC TaskManager has an autokill function. There are parameters in the registry: HKCU\SOFTWARE\HTC\TaskManager.
I donīt remember the exact names one of them is EnableAutoKill 0/1
and another parameter sets the memory value. The default value was about 9MB. So if the memory is less than this value it closes running applications.
2. Opera 9.5:
I don't use HTC TaskManager, but had similar problems. After a reset everything works fine. After a while I mention that programs are killed.
I found out that after Opera 9.5 was startet once the problems begin. Closing Opera doen't stop the killing of programs while starting an other. Only a reset stopps the problem... until I start Opera again. I don`t have a solution for that (or not using opera 9.5).
regards
Andre

Disable HTC Taskmanager too, using the one built in in HomeScreen PlusPlus. Works good so far.
