Hi

I have just run start_uspl.exe on my orbit 1, after following instructions re- soft reset.

Phone is showing white screen asdescribed in tutorial

PDA ROM update utility has opened on xp laptop.

Instructed to conect via active sync.

Active sync cannot find device.

I have not touched phone and do not want to brick it.

Any giidance would be appreciated.

Thanks Colink

Hi

Non connection of active sync after running start_uspl.exe sorted.

The white screen on my Orbit and No Connection on Active Sync was not a problem and a phone switch off with soft reset took me back to normal use.

Solution for running start_uspl.exe and installing new ROM; variations from uspl instructions. (Found by searching this forum + interpretation)

Run start_uspl.exe as described. (dont worry that it jumps from 70% to 100%)
At white screen disconnect USB
don't close anything
Reconnect USB, wait until PC recognises USB device (no name)
active sync does not show connected - ignore this
double click the ruu application for the ROM you want to install
(or in the case of artemes touch 4.01 or 4.02) click step 2
start_uspl.exe dialogue will ask you to confirm 4 facts - click "I completed the steps ..." + next - even though active sync is NOT connected to phone
(It takes a little courage to ignore the non connection of active sync)
start_uspl.exe dialoge will show zero details for current rom - ignore this
Click update and follwow any other instructions
When windows desktop shows on Orbit, don't worry that it takes about 3 minutes before the "tap screen", to set up, message shows on orbit.

I have done this a few times, with different roms and it works fine (if a little nerve racking).

The only bad news is (and many on this forum will not like this) - the interface doesent 'touch' the iPhone - excuse the pun.

I am not an apple / ipod fan, but have been using my iPhone for 6 months, it has lots of silly negatives, but interface, email and browsing is 'the best' - in my humble opinion.

its server side problem on al WM6.1

KB955741 A message stays in the Outbox, and the message is resent until it is deleted manually on Windows Mobile 6.1-based devices in an Exchange 2007 Service Pack 1 CAS proxying scenario

Few days ago I install UR5 on CAS, all users working throw CAS-to-CAS proxy works perfect!, UR5 Resolves white screen problem!
