EZINput and Keyboard
I tried making the Bootlauncher parts start as Windows\Startup or HKML\INIt start ups but haven't cooked it with Bootlauncher yet.
This is the merged package straght from rom not the version DupinBJK has been working on.

I've not tried it yet too, but the bootlauncher should be useful just for the Diamond-like new SIPMenu.
If we can put it at work it would be good, because choosing the Keypad and Compact Keyboard in Landscape mode makes device.exe get crazy - the code to manage those layouts is missing in the code, after HTC has moved from V1.0 to V1.5.

The EzInput files are the same, but the Tegic ones are newer. I'll put them in all the cabs straight away.
PM me if you need them, some of them won't be available on the thread for a while :D

I don't think its touchflo3d, it's touchflo2d. At least thats what the photos on HTC website suggest. I'd be surprised if the hardware could support 3d.

hehe I just tried cooking all of it into a nike rom and it works worse the my extractions :D but there are some thing that we missed.
I'll try another flash with more files added

Maybe, Well it extracted just fine in HyperCore using Artemis/Elf Settings.

So this might be the closest to an Official Touch WM6.1 Rom we might get.

Yeah also found that the Simmanager is older.

And the Album Exe was also different.
Volume control was also newer.

Also there's a Largetittle bar settings i overlooked.

Maybe i should have listened to that advice ;)

It extracted as an ELF, it Cooked Like an ELF. But has ELFIN specs so who knows. Haven't done XIP port or anything.

I have extra devices and can take the risk.

What's the worst that can happen flashing the Stripped OS only :D.

More in 5 minutes.

Ghe it now shows me the OS version on First Splash Screen and that's where the story ends.

But it looks like it shouldn't be the hardest thing to port with the correct XIP.

Could have been just forgetting WinCENLS_WWE in the Sys.

More in 15 minutes.

Giving it one more try but doesn't look to be similar enough to do a quick port.

I'll up the complete packages later on to different mirrors, not the separate packages.

And i'm going to do a Request for you findings on htchomesettings.xml for the Wizard Project;)

Well answer is no, not in a Quick way can't you flash this completly to ELF.

I guess its a bit easier for us who work with devices that is from the Touch series...I think I have less compatability with my polaris then in.ex herald/kaiser etc

I replaced many many files from the opal in my latest rom for polaris, and not only oem packages :)

Noonski and many other developers have taken the challenge of extracting them and few are made into cabs.

You can create cabs, not as challenging as one might think.

Does anayone know if t9 language files are available? E.g. i'm using dsixda's Onyx rom for Elfin with TF2D which is currently missing Dutch T9 files:

"12.nlhpd.kdb"
"NLlsUN_xt9.ldb"
"hpd.5x4.Dutch.kdb"

Noonski any idea, since you are Dutch too?

Here you'll find just the last two, but if all you need is to enable t9 on the old EzInput 1.0 version (the one shipped with Nike, Polaris, etc...), you can find the others on the forum (wmn79 has a good link on his signature).

If you need them for EzInput 1.5 (Diamond, Raphael, Opal), instead, it's a different story. You'll need the layout files for the full qwerty keyboards, too,
but since they are missing in this rom, you'll have to get the ones from the Diamond or Raphael and patch them. Even the ones that you can find in the Gullum Diamond keyboard need to be patched, because the layout of the keyboards has changed, in this version.

I will try to finish the remaining PAckages tomorow.

But i think i will put up two version of The Audio manager and Update Both.

Also will put tow different Shared DLL packages.

Because i needed those to make it work on Wizard.

Maybe now would be a good time to change the Setup a little.

Install Graphics into a Subfolder for Some of the Cabs so it doesn't slow everything down that Much.

Attached you'll Find the Skin Files for AudioManager from.. Ahh you know.

Also an idea would be to put VjBrisk into the package (or seperate Version) To open Iexplore.

Thank you very much,worked for me.

I have used the full OEM and ported the SYS folder to ELFin and built a rom and it is just as if it was an Opal device, and I was waiting to port the XIP and se the difference in speed.

It's HTC replacement for what they tried with HTCServices first.

It manages Start Up Items but it can be set in Time and order.

IT starts services and Normal Start Ups, but it looks like not all items can be converted to normal start up items and need Boot launcher to work correctly.

I can confirm using the OEM Folder (Excluding the OEMDrivers-Use ELFin OEMDrivers) and Porting the SYS Folder works well on ELFin.

Only Thing which needs Tweaking is the CommManager.

Everything works well, Even the startup animation and sound, as well as the OEMOperator setup and connection setup.

Camera also works well,seems that most of the Opal hardware is similar to the ELFin.

I actually tried using the touch.dll from Opal and it did work but the screen locked up later a few times, but I guess it must have been to do with some packages that I installed. Thanks my friend

I didn't try any of the drivers, used the Elfin drivers.
Still have problems with the XIP, if you can get the xip to work, Please share it with us.

I have used the hybrid kitchen to dump the xip from the xip.bin and it dumped the xip but when used the device does not boot.

I can confirme that this methot also worked on Herald but with a little more editing of the OEM_Lang folder because of the more keys.

and camera is fliped upside down..
or the picture gets fliped 180 dec when it taken :D
so this save a lot of time getting things to work

Yeah just use the usual tools to extract the XIP files out of xip.bin. Use all of these files in your working XIP folder. Don't add anything else. That is all.

I had it displaying "CE OS 5.2.19971, Build 19971" etc... but I stuck with a newer XIP.

Very sorry for what happend to you.

What you need to do is as follow:

- Port XIP
- Port SYS folder ( Don't forget to copy WinCENLS_WWE folder to yuor ported folder.
- Use all Opal OEM Folder exept OEMDrivers
- Copy Elfin Oemdrivers to Opal OEM Folder
- Cook you ROM.

Everything should work fine.

Commmanager will not work but you can still use the cab file to install it.

I hope the above would help.

Yes, I have ported it following the simple and excellent instructions from Shafez. It runs well and fast.

However it's not fully functional.. Camera and video do not work, youtube shortcut fails to launch, no Google Maps etc. Also no sliding animation on the TouchFLo screen when you press on a tab (rather than sliding on it). I am sure these can be fixed if spent more time on it, but I'd rather build it from the ground up using an Elfin ROM OEM (rather than the Opal's OEM), hence the Onyx ROM that I am working on.

of all my devices audio booster does not do anything except from my girlfriends Nike.. im shure it's a driver thing but can also be hardware.

It's just an equiliser and can make songs sound better

In regards to camera, the value SensorType when set to 0 means no camera, set to 1 means 1.3mp camera, set to 2 means 2MP camera. When set to 2 or 1, the camera app runs, but throws the following error message "Unable to initialize camera. Failed to set up the camera device." Yes, I also have all the drivers, including MT9D112.dll

An interesting observation that I've made on the Opal camera vs. the Vogue camera is that: the opal camera uses mhubVO components, while the Vogue camera uses the classic Mhub components. So for all you guys trying to get it working, mhub VO is critical for the opal camera to run. It still does not work however...Yet...

Yes, it needs different values for different devices. I know the vogue uses msm7500usbfn.dll, while most/all (not sure) of the other gsm Qvga devices use usbfn.dll, especially the GSM ones. The Mass Storage option also may/may not need modification for different devices.

As well as the usb function driver from all your devices (these may include usbfn.dll, usbmsfn.dll, msm****usbfn.dll; only one of these will be present on your device). Remember the new USB to PC should be able to work on most/all of WM6(.1) and maybe even WM5 devices. If your devices does not have Mass Storage (i.e SD card slot, or something similar), this program will still work. I will also need to know of any WM6(.1) devices that do not have a SD card slot (QVGA).

No, it does not, I modified part of the diamond mass storage driver to work with the new USB to PC and with the Vogue (I am not sure if other drivers would work the same, for instance the opal mass storage driver does not work properly on my Vogue, also the normal mass storage driver doesn't work either with this new USB to PC). It should be the same for all other htc devices. The usb mass storage driver is not (to my understanding) dependent of any of the usb function (rndis or serial) driver. Therefore it can be considered universal and mass storage should work. What is not universal is the usb function (rndis serial) driver.

I have also fixed up the Opal DSHOW, now included are a couple more functions, and a fixed PowerStateManager. Opal Dshow has an issue where audio would get suspended when pressing power button on the phone, regardless of whether the suspend trick is enabled or not.

So you mean there are two fixes in DShow? The audio one and another one?

I wonder if this will help YouTube work for some users?

I have test the package on elfin.
the old usbtopc.exe 1.18 can work.today ,I found the usbtopc.exe 1.20 can work too.and u must add

Side note: I was inspecting the camera app some more, and I found out that we are missing the CameraRC_Launch.dll. This library is called upon by Camera.exe, right before initializing the camera module itself. The CameraRC_Launch.dll is responsible for loading the UI within the camera application.

This dshow requires all/most of the other components that it relies on. Components such as MhubVO, lockstream and so on... You need the opal releases. I modified this release for myself, so I only tested it on a vogue with my kitchen...Try the original opal dshow and see if it works better...

Thanks for the archive, but I already have those in the OEM package I cooked for the camera... Doesn't work...I do believe we are missing something though.

I have looked into the CameraRC.dll and found all the Opal camera UI images and icons in there.

the ELF(in) Camera uses CameraRC_Grey which also containes all the UI images and Icons for the ELF(in) Camera.

If the CameraRC_Grey.dll can be edited to contain all the Opal UI images and icons we will have the new UI on all devices.

when I edited the registry to use the Opal MT9D112.dll and soft reseted the device , the display went blank white and had to Hard reset the device.

It seems that the camera is different.

I also have this with screen but when I hear the blip sound for setting up the device I tried to press on screen and did aligne the screen without seeing the + and continue in blind setting up rest of the device it did boot up and displaied the todayscreen and did the customazation. but it didn't boot after the reset just a with screen

Make sure there are no RGUs that have references to the old dialer. Check the RGU in your OEMAPPS folder.

thing is i couldn't find anywhere any mention of supercid or anything like that for the opal, how does everyone else install the roms on their phones?

Changed Init order to 135 so it doesn't conflict wit other Init values set to 57

Noonski, I have a quick question for you if you have a sec. I ran into a problem when the init order for BootLauncher was set to 135 instead of 57. My ELFin would boot up with a white screen (no green WM 6.1 screen) and HTCHome wouldn't start (I assume some kind of init problem?). Anyway, it worked fine once I changed it back to 57. Have you been using BootLauncher with 'Launch135' or is the info from post 2 in this thread out of date?

Try replacing with the attached Taskmanager, then change the registry values to match for apps that mention Boot launcher.

I got Volume Control, System Status, Start Menu and a another service being started just fine, but that's on the Diamond.

You could also test if the above registry settings still work in the newer version, interesting to know.
