Manilla 2d lags?

Just added Manilla 2d (beautiful), however, there are times where there is a 2-10 second lag to choose programs, options, ect...running on a tilt. Anyone have the same problem or can offer a solution?

You phone doesn't have something like Core2Duo or Extreme to work snappier :)

Everything lags on a tilt. Screen flip, parsing emails, opening web pages. Blame it on Windows Mobile because I think our phones have plenty of processing power. I've used just about every ROM ever made too.

As far as Manilla 2d, I have it installed and it is randomly laggy. Not to mention if I try and send a text and switch to landscape it goes back to the home screen or if you open the browser it puts white crap on the "browser" tab.

The Kaiser has given me more headache than it solved really. The only thing I have to look forward to is google android (if that even happens).

are you using a stock ROM?

If you are using a cooked ROM check for what SPL you are using. Search for different versions, and for reasons for upgrading.

I had the same problem with WM6.1 screen touch lags, Touchflo2d lagged by seconds changing tabs, and most everything ran slow. I upgraded to newer SPL and very little lag now. Still once and a while but noting is perfect.

Since you are posting in the rom section I presume you have rom based manilla, I had the same problem as you.

MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY
if that fails, download the newest rom and start from scratch and use PIM backup so you dont loose any of your info. Dont use sktools to back up messaging when you restore it it wont let you use it. If you start from scratch use the latest jump spl from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=354061

Dude, i don't know what your smoking but manilla 2d works like a dream on my tilt. just remember to soft reset like every day or so.

Currently using AthineOS v1.6.4b[Beta] ROM with SPL 3.29...LOL on the smoking comment...that would have been good if soft resetting every day wasn't so ridiculous...

Most of the lagging is attributed to Manila2D files placed on \Windows directory. You need to:

- move Manila2D images to a different directory other than \Windows
- change the settings (in HTCHomeSettings.xml located in \Windows) to point the images to the directory where you've put the images.
