Finally
I found the solution for the FN layout problem i.e The tytten ii fix
1) download the file and apply the fix
2) change the keyboard layout with advanced config. Its in the tools folder.
make the layout CUSTOM
3) end
I would like to say thanks to aruppenthal who guided me through

This rom is UC compatible so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Flash from tri color. No need for activesync.
How? Im assuiming using jump spl on my phone correct? I connect my phone via usb to the computer, run jumpspl to get the tri color screen, then run the flashing process as normal from the computer, after clicking next twice it checks for device, it then says that the phone is not connected. For some reason my phone wont connect via usb at all! I tried this several times and one time i got through to the flashing process but got stuck at 0%. What can i do? Im so frustrated with this, i dnt know if its my computer or my phone causing this.

Hold down your camera button and reset with the stylus. This will put you in bootloader. Plug into usb and flash. Youll be good to go.
If your still stuck there is a more advance method I can try to walk you through that will involve deleting some drivers on your computer. I am guessing it is an activesync issue with your computer. To be quite honest it used to happen to me every three or four roms when I ran XP.
Did you already run jumpspl? If so when you get to tricolor post exactly what your screen says

Im in class right now and wont be home for a few hours to try it out. I totally forgot about doin it that way instead of jumpspl. I tried uninstalling active sync and reinstalling, disabling firewall, all kinds of methods and no luck. Ive never had this problem and iv been flashing my tilt since it first came out for att. When i run jumpspl i forget what it says, let me run it right now and ill get back on that. But like i said, unless ur method of tri color screen is different from jump spl then i dont know if it would make a difference.

Ill be going to bed in about an hour so we may have to continue tomorrow.

Im in class now and not with my computer or usb cable but this is what happens when i run jump spl now. It says:
KAIS1*0
SPL-1.56.Jump
CPLD-8
What i do is connect my phone via usb, then run jump spl. When i do this im pretty sure it says the same as above but i know for sure it says usb at the bottom so it must be connected some how via usb. I then run the flashing program on my computer and it says it cannot detect device. Like i said before, i dont know how but one attempt it seemed to detect the device and go to the flashing process. The computer screen shows the progress bar with 0% and my phone's screen now goes to the wite screen with the progress bar at 0% as normal. Only problem here is it stays at 0% and after a few minutes the flashing program has me go through the revcovery process.

First you need to flash a hard spl. I would use the new ones that help with the usb problems that cmonex made. I think its still stickied. Then go to bootloader. It should say 3.xx.Hard2. You should be able to flash a rom from bootloader at this point.

jsut want to know so no one is having issue with syncing contacts with pictures? i am going crazy. i removed all the pics in outlook then it sync'd fine re added them on the phone and then tried to sync new info and sync wiht outlook now shows pics. tried this fix i found on ms forums where you deselect contacts in activesync and then disconnect and reconnect (will delete all contacts off phone) and re select contacts and once again would not sync any contact with pics so i had to remove all pics again in outlook and then all the contacts would sync. another thing now when i try to drag items that are on my memory card to my desktop only copies the folder and nothing in the folder if i try and copy just the file will not copy.

serial
It says serial at the bottom in the white area. Ive been using hard spl 3.28 for awhile with no problems.

Well to be honest some say sim in some sim out. I alwyas flash sim in so who knows. I do suggest removing memory card.
As far as flashing stock , same thing, some say yes, some say no. I personally suggest it every few roms just to keep things straight.
Any 6.1 stock rom will work.

aruppenthal,
How long is the boot sequence now?
I asked NATF about his ATT Loaded ROM, which I have tried in several versions, and is similar to yours in contents (ie - the number of apps that are loaded to ROM during the boot sequence).
He replied that "I timed v5 Final Manilla Loaded at 47 seconds from initial vibrate, to M2D loading", and regarding the ATT Loaded version: "Without Manilla, you can probably shave about 5-6 seconds off".

I timed as follows:
34 seconds from vibrate till the 3G flash.
57 seconds from 3G flash till the Today screen comes up.
Total of 1:31 minutes.
Have you consulted with NATF?

Honestly I wanted to fix all of the other issues first. So far Its looking good with 5.9 so far. The boot is hihg on my list for 6.0 though ;)

Pros
-Boot time is around 50seconds total
-Windows Loads in about 5-7 seconds
and to me these were the only areas for improvement
Cons
-Chronic Screen Freezes Ill try reflashing hardspl but this is disappointment as cmonex3.29 was great with v5
-Call echo is also back which is no surprise as v5 was the first rom I didnt experience call echo with radio 1.65.21.18
-Weather doesnt display correctly after applying different M2D theme
Suggestions for V6
-Keep M2D in its simplist form for easy customization and compatability with M2DC
So Ruppy I appreciate ur hard diligent work However at this point the pros of V5.9 do not out weight the cons atleast on my device. I will be reflashing V5 for now as i can live with a long boot time and i rarely access the windows directory directly and await V6

a little issue regarding the data connection, after few days of using this excellent rom, i started to find out that there is an issue with connecting to the internet.
some times i can not connect at all, the brwoser will keep trying to connect and then an error box pops up saying in the meaning of:
" connection not available now or you are out of coverage"
other days it connects with no problem
Wifi initially had the same issue but now it looks like working with no problems

You can download the stock theme from the m2d skins thread to put m2d back to original very quick and easy. This will also adjust the weather back to original.
Changing radios will get rid of the echo.
But either way I am glad you are happy. ;)

Unfortunately I cannot get it any shorter. I have dumped b1b6's roms as well as NATF's and they are cooking the exact same way that I am. I have asked a few chefs to dump my rom and look at it but havent heard back yet. I have removed every extra file, cleaned every reg key, cleaned up all the DSMs, and checked every provxml in the rom. The only thing left is the contents and I am not prepared to remove anything for a few seconds of boot. The only chance now is if another chef can point out something that I am missing.

If the boot doesnt mess up the rom then ill wait the extra 5 seconds for it to load. Yes your rom does load the longest than any other but also your rom is well worth the load time, really not something to complain about i dont think.

Heres the animiation we talked about if you could make it into a wait cursor for me that would be amazing. I warn you or anyone else who downloads it, explicit content shows some nudity. You wanted me to find flaws or bugs in your rom, well hard to say since all is pretty much perfect. Only thing i say is take out the help in programs, dont know if anyone actually uses it anyways. Also in programs you have a shortcut to IE and Messaging and then in apps theres the same link to Messaging and in the Internet folder theres another link to IE. I say take out the 2 extra links in the general Programs Folder and leave the links in their folders. Thats really the only touch up i can see so far. This rom seems more stable than the others and very fast! Youtube is perfect, internet speed is great, htc home works perfect. Goin to the gym soon so ill try out the wireless headset again with audio manager and let you know how it goes.

The help files only add up to around 3 mb total and it is a huge chore taking them out. Every initiateflashfiles.text in the rom has to be edited as well as removing every.htm file.
Be sure to update me on how audio manager works with the new build. Hopefully it is better. If not give s2p a try. and see if it has the same issue. That will help me track it down. I tried to recreate the issue with my BT headset but couldnt so hopefully it is fixed.
For those who are using manila:
Do you like the new skin or should I take it out. Please let me know. I could also make the original m2dc file available to easily remove it if desired

It is very easy to add in. I actually had it and removed it due to me personally getting annoyed with hitting the volume twice to adjust it. I can probably make a addon cab for it though. Ill see how easy it is to skin too .:)

Very robust and functional ROM, thank you for your hard work!
Couple of bugs to report:
Email -- Menu>Select Messages>All or All Below or Several (these don't do anything);
POP inboxes do correctly show on Manila 2G, but Outlook (exchange push mail) doesn't display on the 2G, only my POP accounts. Maybe a limitation of Manila 2G?
The side button (left side below scroll wheel) originally opened the Start Menu. Now it does nothing. I'm using an HTC TytnII with Hard SPL3.29 and radio 1.70.19.09 and applied all suggested patches.
Generally speaking, these are minor issues -- again, thank you for a very nice ROM.

Inboxes: Im not sure I understand I always just drag to select the ones I want in a group but Ill look into it.
The Side Button: Reconfigure through start/settings/buttons
Mail: My Outlook Exchange is showing fine
Alot of people have reported much better results with hardspl 3.56.

GREAT ROM!!!
One suggestion: Is there a way you can implement a GUI looking like the attached thumbnail?
Also it would be great if the color scheme matches with this ROM.
Great ROM thank you. Can someone post the cab for the latest HTC album? the one in version 5.9 i couldn't rotate the pics.. I want to be able to rotate them with gestures.
Thank you
I should be able to install it no problem right?
Here are the two cabs requested. You must reset after the Large Title Bar cab.
THE LARGE TITLE BAR CAB IS NOT UNINSTALLABLE BY THE NORMAL METHOD OF REMOVE PROGRAM BECAUSE IT IS ALWAYS AN ACTIVE PROCESS.
I uninstalled by:
Go to remove programs and select remove RRElargetitlebar.cab
delete largetitlebar.dll with total comander or resco
remove the following reg key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\LargeTitleBar]
I am still working on a cab for the volume control.
The system status cannot be easily skinned. The files are in the dll. If I get around to it it will not be until thanksgiving.

Thanks for your hard work and the requested cab. I'm gonna install it now.
How good is the battery for you using radio 1.58.25.17? say estimate battery life when using it with wifi. with bluetooth & 3g on.
And it's not necessary but is there a compatible HTC home cab to use inconjunction with the Manilla 2D? so if you can switch back and forth if you wanted to? don't mean to be a hassle :D

Lemme take a look at it when I get home from work. Its the same BT package so I am not sure what might be wrong. My BT headset is at home. It might be as simple as overwriting with a cab. Anyone else having issues with BT? If so please post so we can figure it out :)
BTW wisniak your testing and comments have been extremely helpful in this rom series. Thanks
Lemme verify I understand. Are you missing the FTP app in programs or the profiles tab in the bluetooth settings? Or neither and it just wont take your headset?

I use my phone pretty heavy through the day. I dont use wifi much though. I always have more than 40% battery at the end of the night. Some have reported better battery life with the 1.65.24.36 radio. It will vary alot by location though.
I am not really sure about switching back and fourth with home. I know manilla and Home use some of the same files so I am not sure how this would work out. I can put together a cab without the duplicate files and see.

Thank you for such a great release and all the time and effort you have put into this rom.
I tried the "HyperDragon III Jade + Manila2D + YouTube" and I found it SOO slow. This rom is so much faster! gotta be one of the fastest kaiser roms out there that has all the goodie applications cooked in.
Speaking of applications though, I have some requests for your next release :)
1. The htc camera 6.8 would be great!
2. GPS Test for the gps folder.
3. Include the "M2DC" to config the Manila2D your self
4. PIMBackup would be great
5. QuickMenu installed by default(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340358)
I know all these cabs are available to download and everybody has to do some tweaking after installing a new rom, but i just feel these would make a great addition to the rom.
Once again, thank you for all the time and effort you have put into this rom.
EDIT
In the outlook email, when you go to select all mail it doesnt do anything - i think this is a little bug?

Hmmm...
Don't know what happened, but now it works.
I read the user manual, and it said that if the headset is already paired with 3 PPCs, then it can't handle an additional one. Now this isn't my case, but I thought maybe the headset thought it had was already overpaired, since I've tried several ROMs. Unlikely, but I couldn't think of anything else. So I followed the headset reset procedure, and I finally succeeded in getting it paired.
But more likely is that I did not put the headset in pairing mode after all.
By the way, I think that the gyperdragon ROM has an additional tab in the BT settings, that is not present here (and is not present in the standard ATT WM6.1 ROM as well). This additional tab contains many BT profiles. See the following:

In any case, your suggestion is still a good idea.
Thanks.

Well I have some unfortunate news. V5.9 will be the final version of the RRE line for kaiser. I just purchased a AT&T Fuze and after I get used to it I will continue my rom line for the Fuze/Touch Pro. I will continue to do my best to support the line without a device. My tilt was passed to my wife.
If I can come up with a couple of dedicated and knowledgeable people that are very pleased with the line to do the testing I might be able to continue.

I am not so sure it is only you Tmasazo. I was reconfiguring my tilt last night for my wife. I deleted all my PIM stuff off of it and tried to sync with her computer. It constantly tried to sync and came up sync failed. Finally I got annoyed and hard reset it. As soon as I hard reset it worked perfectly. I think the issue was from installing my PIM from a backup after last hard reset.
Did you completely redo everything or did you use any type of backup of PIM or programs?

I absolutely love the manilla, and aside from expressing my newbly-ness with asking a radio suggestion when it was right in the first post, will probably not reflash for quite some time. I also had problems getting the weather to update or have my email send&recieve, but saw on/around the third page a simple fix for that.
I will be your guinea pig for any future endevors you would like to make with M2D for the tilt. I'll PM you my info, i'm in Maryland, so not that far...
Also, everyone else on these forums has a "donate" button for paypal. And this is probably the first time that i truely felt I need to donate. Please post a link for the greatful members.

I really dont get the contacts with pics not syncing. The only issue I have had is the one with not syncing at all. Honestly I am not sure how to start on figuring out why only ones with pics wont sync.
Question: Did you add the pics on your PC or phone?
I have not experienced inability to drag items ever other than faulty USB cord. Check your USB cord and possibly try another. Ill see what I can figure out though.

I am truly blown away by the speed of this rom overall, and I am really impressed w/ how quickly the screen is able to switch orientation virtually no lag, this is the first time i've ever seen this in a rom.
Awesome ROMS and definitely kudos to you for a great job!.

I had planned to just post my kitchen and let everyone do as they wished with it. However due to the changes I made when I cooked if certain packages are removed the rom will be unflashable or fail to cook. Now I think I will remove everything humanly possible and cook it with the DSMs left in. This will let anyone use it as a base to cook from or use as a lite rom.
Heres what I plan to remove

This is my first experience using an AT&T based ROM on my TyTN (no PTT and has camera). The keyboard mapping is a little different. I searched the XDA forums and found several attempted solutions -- tried one on a hunch and it works.
Change the registry key HKLM/Hardware/DeviceMap/KEYBD/CWSLayout from 1 to 0. Reboot and all is good.

in your 4shared folder the rre v1.0 minimal, appears to be how would one expect your v6.0 htc version to appear.
Custom Icons, splash screens & HTC home etc is present.
missnamed?
No not misnamed
I havent officially posted it yet because I am not sure how it is working.
However,
I left the custom Icons for folders , calculator, IE, Activesync, Notes, and a few others. I removed all custom icons for settings and start. I also removed alot of applications. I left in HTC Home.
This is why I named it Minimal and not Light.
Can you comment on BT functionality or Boot time for that version?

Yes i know it wasn't an official post:p
Over anxious...sorry
I don't have my device so i had a friend who'd introduced me to your rom initially try it, he says the boot time seemed normal, there was no discernible difference or speed increase to him.
Unfortunately i didn't see your message in time & he never tried BT and has since changed the rom.

Final versions uploaded. Please report any issues. Changelog is here. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2698132&postcount=5)
The minimal version is cookable. Anyone that wants to start thier own line may use it as they wish. If anyones work is still included I ask that whomever takes it give credit to the creators. All creators should be listed in post 2.
Happy Flashing.:)

Thank you again for putting a Manila 6.0 together. I've installed it on my TyTN II following your instructions (e.g., apply backlight.cab, etc.). I previously used your 5.9 ROM, so for comarisons, I will try to keep it brief:
- bluetooth is fine just as with your v5.9 ROM (activsync and A2DP both ok);
- mail (manila mail tab): outlook box still does not show an envelope symbol for outlook below 'new mail' symbol. I tested this successfully using the base 3.34 WWE ROM and applying bengalih_2DManila.cab over the base ROM. After synching with our exchange server, the envelop symbol is correctly shown. After adding 2 more POP3 accounts, an envelop symbol for each is added below the outlook symbol. As mail is received by each account, a counter on each envelop symbol correctly shows the unopened new mail count for each account. This was also the case with v5.9.
- messaging: "select messages" dialogue still not connected. No harm, just doesn't work. Same as v5.9.
Thanks again for your work - with some minor tweaking it would be perfect.
Enjoy your new Fuze,
Cheers

Can you mention how to change the icons back to factory default when cooking?

If you cook my rom just delete the exe files in OEMoperator that have a _ before them. This will leave the default.

Do a search in the kitchen folders for _notes.exe
The rest of the files should be with it.
If not just dump the stock rom and take the exe for each one that you want fixed and replace them in the kitchen. Most of the ones changed would need to be swapped in the corresponding sys folders. If you need help or cant find one let me know.

Sadly I can't continue with your ROMs, as you've switched to the Fuze, I believe, and I can't use a camera-enabled PPC...
Hope that there'll be some new and exciting non-camera device soon so that we can continue to enjoy your ROMs.

I made the mistake of adding a m2dc theme to this and now it is all garbled and freezes manilla 2d, can anyone make a m2dc theme out of the original m2d that comes with the rom? I would really appreciate it.

Ruppy,
According to your experience, what is the impact of having Manila on a ROM?
I'm not asking about the visual aspects, rather functionality, memory, performance.
I'm asking since there are many Manila-based ROMs, where the chefs recommend just turning it OFF if the users don't like the interface. But I don't recall having read about the implications. Is it really that simple? If so, why doesn't just everyone make Manila-based ROMS, and therfore prevent a lot of hassle?
Some sample quations that I'd appreciate your input on:
1. Does Manila just provide a prettier MMI?
2. Are there any apps that you're aware of (from those that you included in YOUR ROMs) that won't run w/o Manila?
3. How much memory is wasted by having Manila included in the ROM, but turned OFF from the Today screen? (ie - included as default, but not used).
4. What would be the performance implications?
5. Any other aspects?
Thanks.

Very simple:
a. I ask the opinion of the chefs whose ROMs I've installed and tested, and I value their opinion.
b. For me, flashing a new ROM is not a simple (or short) process, as I have about 40 apps that I have to install afterwards (excluding setting up emails accounts, establishing a partnership to my PC and Exchange server, etc). So I'm reluctant to just trying out new ROMs or versions, just for the sake of it. My PDA is used mostly for work, not playing/watching videos. I don't have that much time to play with this stuff.
So as you can see, nothing silly about it at all.

The biggest people dont just make manila based roms is simple. Memory. Sure if people dont want it they can just turn it off. However that turned off app is taking up alot of storage memory.
1. Yes manila serves no purpose other and UI
2. To my knowledge they will all run without manila
3. If i remember correctly around 12mb
4. There is no real performance loss. Actually you would possibly gain a little without manila.
5. Without manila other today plugins are available again :)
BTW sorry for the delayed reply Ive been out of town

Thank you, Ruppy.
Your answer is what I expected.
As you can see from my sig, I'm currently using HDIII, altough I have good memories from your roms...
I asked for your experience since I basically got flamed by some users in the HD III rom when I asked this.
SJ (the creator of the HDIII roms) releases a non-Manila rom every now and then, but I imagine its a hassle for him.

At one time the AT&T site did show a camera and a non-camera version for the same price. That has since been corrected.

They also had a confusion regarding the Tilt, at the time.
I corrected them rearding the existance of a non-camera version (the 8900).

Hi Aruppenthal,
I know that u moved on the HTC fuze, but hopefully u can still answer a question regarding ur roms for the Kaiser. Since I like stable and fast custom roms, Dutty's latest rom has been my last upgrade for a long time now. Now I thought it was time to search for a stable rom with M2D. In the last few days I've flashed many roms with M2D. But none of them have the volume control in the M2D music tab like urs. I love ur rom and thanks for making it available to us. My question is and since I couldn't find it in the threat here, did u include any 3d software driver in rom like HTC-CA or the omnia dll?
Again, thanks alot for ur work.

Sure i still watch the thread and will answer the questions i can. The screenshots seem to be a bit misleading as your the third person to comment on volume control. The one on the fist page is actually the window media player. I just used poorlyducks skin to make it match.
I did not include any 3d dirvers as when I left the tilt they were still pretty new.

Ill check the 6.o link. Im pretty sure that bug was fixed in 6

Thanks,
