1) Bluetooth now send e recive files
2) Video Call work fine 100%
3) Manilla2D update 16

I advice you to do the upgrade


N.B: i have finished now of cook the 8 versions ROM ;) was a real effort!
Soon UPLOAD :D

I am running the first one you uploaded, plain manilla2d, but then the version without keyboard installed. Runs nicely, although I have the feeling it might be a tad slower than 1.2.0/1.2.1, but I'm not even sure about that either.
Just one minor thing: the download links for Nike 16-key in the thread you link to have been taken down :P
EDIT: I'm having one more issue with this ROM: the dialing application is not working right. I see no keypad, instead I see some contents of the program browser (I assume that's because that's the previous active window), and the rest is garbled :S When I disable the skin using Advanced Config Tool it works, but then I have this lame dialer without videocall :P Any tips on this?

Look in your Windows fodler, there have to be an OperaL.exe.
If not, then copy (not rename) your opera.exe and rename to OperaL.exe

I had the same issue, it seems the .cab from the opera site installs in Program Files. Copy the files to \Windows and it'll work :)

Boy, I'm telling you: this rom OWNS.
I've got a working setup including my 16-key hardware keyboard, dutch language files for xT9 and the slowness I was experiencing earlier on seems to occur right after softreset and vanishes after about 5 minutes leaving a super fast stable system :D
If I have some money left next month it's coming your way shark147 (this month is impossible, just bought the niki :P)

i've just 2 problems with it :
1) (very important) my battery has a strange behaviour, it lose all his charge without reason (for example 70% of charge, after 5 min 10% of charge)
2)In the call history i can see only the missed calls, i cant switch between outgoing, incoming and missed calls like in the previous rom !

I just installed SSPL on my device and flashed it with the flash in that zip file

For google maps, use internet explorer on your phone, browse to m.google.com and download and install the google maps file. Alternatively you can use the file I've attached.
The photos issue is appearing here as well, I don't know a fix but I just choose not to care :P
For youtube: I don't know what version you have, I've got a version that was bundled with manilla2d install cabs, I've attached that too.

The email tab doesn't hang on me at all, is very stable. I have got the blank-screen issue when swiping in the mail/sms application indeed (touchflo scrolling works, switching messages/accounts with swiping just makes the screen go blank). I've 'solved' it by using the d-pad, that works :)

My guess is that it's the driver the folks of the HTC Class Action (HTC CA) site have made, and if so it should be quite speedy, it's hardware accelerating 3D :D
If I'm not mistaking that's not the same thing as the touch.dll from the s600, as said in the changelog it does not replace that one, it replaces the Samsung 3D driver. I'm not too sure about that though.

Can't use Manila Theme Changer. He does the backup, but after applying a new theme m2d didn't start. It shows only Type here to start Manila2D, but didn't work.

if you want restore manilla2D select RESTORE and then "RESTORE SETTINGS FROM BACKUP"

The problem is new manilla2D because all immage store in WINDOWS\MANILLAGFX and Manilla Configuration search the file in \WINDOWS

But in your Rom the files existing also in Windows folder.

For example:

No im a bit confused. You're right ihave only round 12MB lesser free space :confused:

But i didn't even start the Customizer.
I reseted my device, sync my data and played around only in the manilagfx folder. Didn't install anything. Don't know how the files came to the windows folder :confused:

This rom works great, and is super responsive. I even have Youtube playing great and opera working fast too (used the cabs from the latest M2D files update 18)

I am having some problems and noticed some missing things. I dont mind installing the cabs on top, but thought I would bring attention to them if they were forgotten.

1. The Alt Key on the 20 Key Niki, it does not work at all. I use this commonly to type in a number or punctuation. I use the onscreen keyboard to get around for now. looks like Billoko has the same issue too.

the way i understand it the omnia has the intel processor which has no 3d acceleration built into the processor, therefore, the omnia D3D drivers must be all software accelerated. whereas, (and i'm hoping someone will confirm this) the HTCCA drivers use hardware acceleration, which should be more efficient for our processors.

hmmm, not sure thats right...

the omnia drivers are software only... they don't use the built in GPU that our processors have, so the 3d graphics work will be done buy the main CPU... However, (and can someone please confirm this) the HTCCA drivers are written for the qualcomm chip and will most likely be using the hardware 3D graphics processing capability on the chip, therefore, the CPU has less work to do...

both may perform the same in terms of 3D graphics, but the HTCCA Drivers will be more efficient on the CPU as the CPU is doing less of the graphics work, leaving it ree to do other things...

does that make sence? hopefully someone with a bit more hardware experience can chume in here...

If you set a favorite album in the picture album, the picture tab will work when you tap in manilla 2D.

The only down fall is you would lose Video Calling funtion. For now I am just using the CAB on top of the ROM.

I did a bitmap rendering benchmark with SK Tools (still LILLY v1.2.5) and it's exactly as fast as a Touch Diamond! Performance was my argument to update with your ROM, because the poor out-of-the-box performance of the Niki sucked and the new gui/visuals are a great give-away. ;)

I'm afraid your new ROMs will run faster than my PC. :D

had trouble with finding the dot the first time, too. Don't search for a dot, it looks like a hyphen, like this "-" but at the bottom ;)

I have read that in 1.3 a new manila skin is used. What skin is this (could you post a screen shot)?

In 1.2.5. with the blue skin everything fit very well (blue splash scren, blue manila with blue settings, and blue home screen).

I think the skin is the same.

"Manilla2D Update18 (Change Skin Only)" and "Manilla2D Configuration v0.10.130 (THEME CHANGE)" means, that you now can customize the skin without getting errors on M2D. In the versions released before TouchFlo wasn't working with custom skins.

If I'm not right, plz post some screenshots of the pink M2D skin :D Just jokin'.

The black bar was the only thing that distracted me. In some apps you didn't see any buttons. You had to blind-tap it. Good to hear it's fixed now.

I bet you got the PocketCM (http://pocketcm.com/keyboardnew.php) keyboard...uninstall and try again (got this problem with the numbers before and solved it). Do you have the 16 or 20 keys version?

Firstly a codo's to Shark147 for the Rom, been testing 1.3 No Keyboard for the last 3 days and these are the only problems I've found so far.

1. Enabling "MyFavesWidget" in M2DC cause M2D To go into start loop (tap to start >> Starting >> tap to start).

2. Video's don't play (In HTC Album or M2 Photo Widget)

I believe radio issues has already been covered, but I'm listing them for reference.
3. Camera Not working with Radio 1.65.28.25. fixed by flashing Radio 1.58.21.23_25.65.30.04S_Modded, but causes bad signal. Ended up using Radio 1.58.25.14_25.69.30.05P

4. Video Not working with Radio 1.65.28.25 fixed by flashing Radio 1.58.21.23_25.65.30.04S_Modded, but causes bad signal. Ended up using Radio 1.58.25.14_25.69.30.05P

5. Phone Mic & Speaker does not work Radio 1.65.28.25 fixed by flashing Radio 1.58.21.23_25.65.30.04S_Modded, but causes bad signal. Ended up using Radio 1.58.25.14_25.69.30.05P

In this Version ROM the RADIO ROM, can not be longer than the RUU Nike Radio 1.64.08.21K otherwise the camera and ring, etc don't work.

For QuickTask must hold the button "Volume Controll DOWN"

You can enable this, go in Controll Pannell ==>Setting==>Long Press End Key and select "Lock Device"

This way it worked for me:

1. After flashing do a hard reset!!!
2. Then install the keyboard from which shark posted the link! First the main cab, then the language cab.
3. Go to the software keyboard, options and the select your language.
4. Go to settings, the regional settings and choose your country.

I hope this helps.

Credo che ci vogliono i MUI in ITA, inoltre ho letto che Manilla2D non funziona con ROM in altra lingua. Nel senso che ci vuole il MUI in ITA per MANILLA2D.

Do you really have to install a software keyboard to get the hardware keyboard working? I don't get the context.

I only knew that software can butcher your hardware keyboard. :(

So for the people having problems with their input only writing numbers, uninstall soft keyboard, if installed, and try hard keyboard again typing letters.

I'll skip version 1.3 due a lack of time but keep up your amazing work Shark!

ROM and Radio are seperate things. You can compare it to your computer. Radio is like the BIOS and ROM is like the Operating System ;)

Before you can change your Radio you need your device to be CID unlocked!!!

This way it worked for me:

1. After flashing do a hard reset!!!
2. Then install the keyboard from which shark posted the link! First the main cab, then the language cab.
3. Go to the software keyboard, options and the select your language.
4. Go to settings, the regional settings and choose your country.

the reason i asked is because i just finished download "ROM_LILLY_1[1].3_MANILLA2D_NOKEYB". i can simply just flash this right? (i have SPL1.15MFG already).

That works fine for me. I don't have a plan why it not work on your device. I use the Manilla without keyb.

I got it fixed already it is a small bug with doesnt let you set vibrate to any notification if thats not enabled with incomming call.

with version 1.3 you must have a RADIO ROM less than or equal to 1.64, otherwise Camera don't work and Ring don't work.

Fixed the camera by dropping the radio ROM to RUU Nike Radio 1.58.21.23S Modded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369502.

edit: Power consumption's a lot better, too.

I tried to install a cab version, but it didnt work. Manila freezes then.

Perhaps it was an to old version of the booster, but I didn´t know where to download the newest one.

Has anybody an idea to solve this problem?

Manilla 2D Update 18 Problems,

This version seems to be causing alot of problems in the D&H board and they pulled it down and are using Update 17 as the last good standing version. I have not experienced major problems with 18 yet, but I thought we should all be aware in case your problems are related to this and not the ROM itself.

Hopefully shark147 has not pulled out his hair because of this.

Yup, TF2D update 18 seems a little buggy, hopefully there's a new version that solves the video playback problem.

By the way, anyone experience contacts auto dialling itself when using the opal keyboard?

In contacts, find by typing a name, when it is searching, it will suddenly dial what ever contact that has been highlight.
