Hi nonegiven...thanks for the quick reply. Based on what I am reading there, it looks like stock ROMS might be the problem. So, I guess if I want to keep the stock ROM on my Tilt, I may be out of luck? I apologize for the question, but I thought from reading your previous posts, you had a stock ROM and had installed the dialer using a combination of different CABs and ZIPS. The link you sent me to simply offers the same CAB that I have found here in this thread, unless I am reading something wrong. Oh well. Thanks again for the reply.

And the files in the zip folder? Soft reset before doing anything and then don't soft reset again until you install the dialer the other cab and the zip files.

Yea, I did that exactly and it still doesn't work..now I can't even uninstall Albert's fix haha. By the way, you're using the WM 6.1 update right? Dang, I'm really disappointed that this isn't working for me cause it looks so good..sigh* :(

what i must is that, i do really like the the opal dialer better then the touch pro dialer even though there pretty much the same, but i like how it has that extra feature where when ur on a phone call the screen pops up so u dont hit any buttons an u can slide it down to reveal the buttons...so yea id like to know if we can just dl that opal dialer cab to the touch pro soft reset an itll work???? :D

sure it will work, but it's only going to take up 1/4 of your screen. Until there is a vga version your stuck. I can't see that happening without HTC making it. There are too many dll's and other dependencies to just resize graphics.

Pardon me if you find me asking this stupid question.

I had seen the original WM streaming media player or software before but never got pass to view anything on it. Reason being that I don't know what to type in the space when I click on the "Connect" button.

The same thing is repeating itself again with the Opal Streaming Media cab. I don't know what servers or urls to type after the "rtsp://". I had tried goggling for more information on this but could not find any useful information.

If anyone can help me out with this, will really appreciate it.

That might be your problem. That's a very old ROM and there have been lots of updates since then. Not official from Sprint, but custom ROMs running much newer components.

You should look for the dcd 3.2.6 ROM on this forum. Fast, stable and lots of free RAM. If you want more stuff in it, download the kitchen and add more apps.

well I saw that the problems were mainly with Verizon and I was wondering if its the same for Sprint..most of these posts are on Titan's page

Good News for Titan (Mogul) users

So I finally decided to flash dcd's 3.2.6 ROM, which does use a lot less RAM (but missing the quickmenu for the task manager and some other things..so after installation it went back to roughly the same amount)

But what the best part is, I managed to install the Opal dialer w/o any need for the fixes- everything works fine now! awesomeee :D:D:D

Same problem here with the HTC Wizard. Setting always switch back to ActiveSync and it does not pop up when connected.
I also tried thr original USBtoPC from the Diamond and after that no connection was possible any more. This time everything is normal like if I had never installed anything.
To get this to work you need HTC Bootlauncher. I have it kind of working except its in VGA. Can anyone point me to a working QVGA version ?

The reg in the cab references a file not included in the cab. The working package I have does not include the reg setting or the file it references I would assume that this is the problem.

unzip and copy the attached dll to windows and see if it fixes the problem. If not i will post a fixed cab without the reg settings.

You are right, it's the second one. The minimum AKU you'll need is 1.2.0, but to be sure, you should go with AKU 1.2.6, the one from build 19971, used for the Opal Rom.

I get the same thing, but also my phone stops dialing then I select a favorite person or contact. I also found that it often won't recieve calls.

It a shame because I think this is the best dailer to date. ;(

Unfortunately no love for those on official builds (with lower than 19971 ofcourse) that do not want to flash to these newer builds. You've not tried enough...
You just need a base 19212 or 19214 with a ported SYS 19971 build.

I think the problem might be that you're trying to use it on a VGA screen. What device do you have?

I have used something similar to this dialer....basically seemed nearly exactly the same except without the "slide" features. I think the slide is cool, but i'm too clumsy to use it well and actually prefer the static buttons for answer and to pull up in-call options.

is that version also an "opal" version dialer or something different all together?

This cab works for me, it is qvga. It should be able to work for all. However i obtained this cab from pccgeeks.

i got an bizarre issue
i installed it on my trinity wm6.1, all is working ok
but
when i "wake up" the phone (i mean if the phone is screen-off then i push one time on the power button), it calls the last number!!

is that a known issue?
or only on trinity?

The reason why it may not work can be due to the fact that all the EXEs and DLLs in this cab are signed with the "OEM sign 2005" certificate and you may not have this certificate installed on your device.

To ensure you have the "OEM sign 2005" certificate installed, check if you have it under "Start->Settings->System->Certificates" or if you have the following registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Security\SystemCertificate s\Privileged Execution Trust Authorities\Certificates\b65f471a457d00b7bd139c896 87cfa95e8198a45

I don't have this certificate so I Unsigned all the files and signed them back with my own certificate.

Can you please make cab version to HTC Diamond (VGA) ? It’s the same thing but with VGA screen compatibly OR just tell me how to modify the file phcanhtc.dll (like you did) ? you don't think it's about time that you dedicate this Great HD Dialer to VGA devices ?

Hi Mbarvian,

Very good job on the Dialer. I was able to install the cab as it is, without the need for turning on to flight mode prior to installation.

Everything is operational. Buttons, Phone canvas are all working as it should.

Also, your cab also fixed the missing bluetooth icon. Before I installed this cab, no bluetooth icon on the taskbar.

But due to lacking of front camera on both Opal and Jade, this cool app has no video call button as Kaiser's original one.

I have a sprint 6.1 Stock Rom and I am sure its in the 19xxx range. Is there an easy way to upgrade it to a higher sys folder without actually having to flash my phone ? I have a sprint HTC touch/vogue phone....

The way I always install is: Put phone into flightmode, then kill the cprog.exe with any taskmanager and then install the .cab and last soft-reset ;)

It depends how reads did u have a 100% battery before or is it reading Override.dll
Eazy fix if want all white icons is to install Green Battey Fix "can be found via search"

Install the cab in Airplane Mode and it should work fine.

If you dont like the in-call curtain like me, simply download the attached file and copy it to your \Windows file and reboot. No more curtain after that.

I love this dialer. I installed it on my ATT Tilt which is running PDACorner X2.V7, Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM. The text for the phone call history is white instead of black so I can't see it. Is there a way to change the text color or do you have another .cab for Windows Mobile 6.5?
