20753 CHN ROM not dumpable...

hi all, i found this ROM and i would like to translate it into other languages (givin' the author the right props obv.), but i'm not able to dump it.
The dump from imgfs shows a lot of overlapping errors, so the files dumped are useless... Anyone has a point on that?

la 19960 dovrebbe essere l'ultima rom per g3 e g4 ( da quello che si legge su pdaviet sono loro i sviluppatori)

le versioni che si trovano 20xxx sono per device + recenti l(a 20753 gira anche su g4)

Iam just imagining if the ONES started the XDA FORUM at beginning started to do this.
Or if Microsoft start to BLOCK Us to do what we do here.

They ( this persons) are the dumb of the dumb. Of course everyone work a lot and sometimes they loose the control and other persons stolen the work. by the way, WE ARE DOING THE SAME WITH MISCOROSFT. how they fell?

you're right... after that who cooked this ROM should have taken from some other non protected ROM... so where's the point?

I think no point protecting things and keeping the end product accessible reduces the choice and will eventually force people to either use it or get out.

End of the day, what is being published as WM6 or above is all ported stuff from somewhere else and nothing is from original work of M$ for Universal, as M$ stopped releasing ROMs for universal and associated support.

So nothing proprietary here unless there is anything that is written from scratch in there.

We all (at least most of us) know what we are doing w.r.t to flashing the device with some ROM or other and associated risks, and so if someone modifies the stuff the way they feel like and flash and endup with a brick, its their call so no point protecting the stuf with encryption etc.,

My option would be use as is, if the cooker generous enough to share his work beyond JUST ROM then probably it gives little bit room for others to tweak it to their personal taste and if that is super stuff they even share with others and eventually forum gets benifitted. If the later part is restricted then probably its time to look for alternative 'device'.

Agreed, and that's why I just spent 10 minutes exploring this ROM before flashing another one and goin' on the search of "the perfect one" lol.
I'm one of those never satisfied that always find something to add or subtract, minor bugs to tweaks, and gets fun in the process. In fact i started my tweaking experience just a couple of weeks ago to resolve a nuisance in the ROM i was using (i still had the original shipped WM5 ROM) and discovered an interesting new world, read everything about it and now i'm ready to make my own translation and modification to the ROM i'm going to use, and why not, sharing it in the near future. And as an added bonus, being able to deconstruct some other work gives you a better look to the work itself. Look at Tomal's Roms and there's a lot to learn only in how is packaged, just to name one. And i think that this one is the main "mental state" of the great majority of the forum members... the active ones at least, not the 0 post leechers i mean. Think also that neither the commercial-private-property-obsessed world is so jealous of their ROM's secret, or this site probably would not be alive. So i'm a bit afraid of the new trend of "get your hands out of my ROM" that i've seen growin' in this days, but i'm quite a noob here so i can be wrong on that. Anyway... looks like that everything can be opened and the secrets don't last long on the net, so maybe this so called protections will be just the next simple task for the "beautiful minded and hearted" people behind the free tools we use every day, and that's the reason for continuing supporting them and the community in the ways we can. Just my 2 cents, off course.




Oh, and for the funny part... i learnt almost everything 'bout dumps-tweaks-coooking but still unable to fix the question that started all, lol

if uneed 20753 u can find it in the nike forum's thats where i get alot of my oem & sys files and what im using to make a few different roms till i find one that i would feel like a real good working rom
