Whats up everyone? I just upgraded from an apache to a vogue. I went through the steps to get it on metropcs and it worked fine. When it still had the Alltel rom on it I called metropcs and added the web service. I set it up and it worked fine!!!!! The only problem I had with it was everytime after I disconnected the username and password cleared out somehow.

When I updated with the alltel rom I forgot to soft reset before the provision .cabs installed. I read somewhere to do a hard reset and soft reset before the provisioning. Now no matter what I do when I try to connect it always says the username or password is wrong. I have even tried upgrading the rom and its the same thing. I do know how to setup the connection and everything. I have done it before. All of the proxy settings are correct and I changed it to simple ip only.

I double checked and made sure that the internet was working on my real metropcs phone and its fine. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Go into your espt ##778 or ##778# and check your M.IP fields under the M.IP default profile and the M.IP settings profile. Not being familiar with metro but knowing they are very similiar to cricket I would suggest changing the MIP mode to SIP from MIP preferred as you have done. That may fix it in itself as the big carriers use MIP authentication where cricket does not (assuming metro follows suit.) If not check your username and password settings under epst security tab and NAI fields under the M.IP default profile.

I had the wrong password or username problem and what I did was activate my old phone, get the data connected on that phone, then reactivate my vogue, *228, remove battery procedure and magically it worked after that

of course this was after days of going through all sorts of settings, qpst, cdma workshop and all sorts of stuff I can't even remember that seemingly did absolutely nothing
