Wizard with a broken Minisd reader?

Hello, i am concidering buying a wizard on ebay but there is a minor fault, apparently the MINISD doesnt work, thats all he is saying, if its internally can the Minisd reader be replaced? or if its something to do with the versions of software etc.

just wondering if the chances of fixing it are high really.

In my opinion, no. The MiniSD slot is sodered directly to the motherboard, so unless you are great at soldering tiny, tiny contacts(which if so then hit it up, broken wizards are cheap and plentiful for spare parts) I wouldnt touch it. It may also be ROM related though, just like you said.....so its really a toss up:/
