I have looked around a lot and didn't find anything abou a problem I have.

I would like to be able to paste a number in order to dial it.

It looks like it's impossible. That's weird.

The exact usage is : in my calendar, I've got phone numbers in the note part of some meetings. If i want to dial one I can't do it directly from the calendar app, neither copy and paste in the HTC Dialer...

So, any Idea, alternative dialer, ... the the HTC Diamond.

Many thanks.

You need a 1.93 variant ROM. The earlier ones didn't have the feature.

If you'd looked harder:

If you're on a cooked rom, then you'll need to see what's been changed from the original rom. A different skin (which is just cosmetic) shouldn't affect the underlying menu items.

Perhaps the chef mucked about with the menu items to achieve his own requirements and left this feature out as it wasn't important to him... chefs are not entirely altruistic in their motives you know ;)

My 1.93.405.1_WWE rom has the feature, and it was one of the reasons I upgraded from the original 1.34 rom, as I find the paste feature very useful and missed it when I first got my phone.

There must be a way of changing it without changing rom ...

Reinstalling a new dialer cab...
Finding a config file for the menu...

you just copy the number, get the phone dialer up (normal HTC one), click menu and then Paste, and then click the Send button. Sorted. This works fine on standard HTC 1.93 ROM with no additional programs installed.

Sorry about my English. Highlight the phone number received, such as SMS, to restrain the phone number, click Copy.
Then enter the dialer, click on " # " in the lower right corner on the menu and already is the desired Paste.
