I am downloading google maps..on htc. Can someone give me an idea, how these maps wrk on the mobile.Wud these maps show my location as well or wud they give directions and navigation...

U can always try MioMap 3.2 worked perfectly for me on the htc touch and very simple to use

I mean.. does it use gps or does it hv maps already loaded.

also, can it also give directions or maps while pointing my location..

a few mistakes youve made
1. stupid post which can be solved by testing trials (or as u seem to like pirating, try cracked stuff)
2. claiming a person pointing out the above was stupid
3. keep asking stuff which can be done by google
eg, whats miomap like (or whatever you said) can be answered by this which took 3 seconds

1. I am ready to pay if this software could have maps of remote location of india..which it does not have..(so donot presume anything without understanding the situation)

1) if people are to use google for everything what the point of the forum?
2) immature responses from members asking the questions are certainly not gonna get help from other members

It is the "god" mentality people get when they hide behind the mask/anonymity of the internet. It really is quite sad.
I agree with you on that one, to me the point of the forum is a way to get a quick answer. Sure I will first do a search through the forum to make sure it hasn't been discussed a million times, but at the end of the day it's there so you don't have to search for answer for a week long.

Anyway, the only answer I have to give is, I bought a BT GPS receiver and map software (Handymap AI) and it works perfectly.
