Xda 2i WM2003se Stuck in Serial Revisited

Hi people I know this has been discussed in other threads but in my case the problem is a little different. If I do a hard reset the phone goes into serial mode. If I then flick the battery lock on/off while holding down the power button and then release it the phone will then start to go through the setup procedure. Now when you get to the end and get the choice of FINISH or CANCEL, pressing either will result in the phone going back into serial mode. If you tap the X (top right corner) instead the screen will close and you get the O2 menu, the phone is now usable.

Any thoughts on this will be of much help.

I've tried the SD reboot thingy and nothin...

I'e experienced before.
Waht I did was -
1)Let back up battery flat ( save your important data before doing so
2) Flash ROM
