Hello,
I checked everywhere for a solution, but have not found a working one...
I was using NATF v.3.1 Rom and everything was fine - I was able to turn off my phone and still listen to the music.Couple of days ago (I don't remember installing or doing something to the phone) I noticed that if I press the power button, Audio Manager stops playing.
Things I've tried:
Installing/Reinstalling ROM:
I reinstalled NATF 3.1 (no joy) and installed HyperDragon III Opal (still no joy)
Changed the registry settings:
"Unattended play" or something like that - I changed the registry settings for WMP and HTC Audio Player / Preferences (No luck)
I use advanced config tool v 3.2 and I wonder if the problem can be the source of that?
Any suggestions are welcome!
Thanks a lot, guys.

How can you turn off your phone and still have it on playing music? Half the time I can't even turn off my screen and have the music play...
I got smart though and mapped a key to disable the screen while in WMP so that it plays while the screen is off.
Your phone is hard core if it can be off and play.. I wonder what happens if you take the battery out? hmmmm

Yeah, I think the OP meant turning it to standby...
I guess the big quesiton here is, are you listening on headphones or bluetooth or on the external speaker on the phone? AFAIK, the speaker on the phone will shut off regardless of the app used (WMP, Audio Manager) when the phone goes into standby. However, over headphones or bluetooth it should continue to play. So, which situation are you referring to?

Get a registry editor and then navigate to this key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences]
Then see if there is a value called "UnattendedPlayback". If not create a new dword entry and name it "UnattendedPlayback" and set it's value to 1. WMP should now play when in suspended mode.
NOTE: The version of DShow in the ROM will ultimately determine if playback while in standby mode is possible. That is why some ROMs will play while suspended and others wont, even with the above registry setting.

Thanks for all the answers, guys ...
As I stated before - I checked the registry settings, and there are fine (for the unattended playing), and before that thing happened ,was able to press the power button on my phone, and still listen audio manager trough the speakerphone.
Do you think that something happened, and now my phone is going to a different "sleep" state ? Because this is the only explanation that I can think of ...

Go figure all of the new ROMs are using the OPAL DShow. I guess that is ultimately the cause of this? Does anyone have a fix?

Yup easy fix is S2P .... better interface and plays when the screen is turned off!! Hope this helps.

Hello,
I have the same problem, I tried to add the Dword in the register, use different players and also S2P but the problem is still here.
Do you have another ideas to solve this problem please ?
