Strange, it doesn't matter where my clock is or whether I am black screen or doing something. My alarms always go off. It has to be some tweak or setting.
I've had it happen on both my wife's vogue and mine. Both 3x flashed / hard resetted. It could be a settings thing. I'll play around with it some more. My wife's vogue is basic, no extra software installed (just v1.00). The problem for me went away when I dropped to Manilla v1917. My wife's phone is still v1919.
I'm going to be downgrading her and mine phone to NFSFAN v16. Battery life has been terrible. Lasts one day for me with almost no usage. v16 was great (2-3days).

What's wrong with the v13 I posted?
Help, the file is read-only. I can't delete or replace it in \windows even after I changed the properties

Use Total Commander, I renamed the new file AudioPara2 copied it across to the windows folder then deleted the original and renamed the new one or something like that :)

Not entirely true.
I and others have the latest ROM with the latest Manila and flip clock and no alarm problem. So this would possibly mean there is a setting that most who have the problem are doing.

Great stuff, your post hasn't really formatted nicely, are you able to post your csv file for me to compare to the original or maybe indicate which columns effect volume, I tried earlier to mess with these same settings but it had no effect.
Thanks in advance

I recently noticed that if I have my Vogue set to turn the display off after a certain period of time it seems to turn off other functions of the phone off as well, such as, using the internet sharing mode for phone as modem, and maybe this is also the bug that prevents the alarm clock from working. If I disable the setting that turns off the phone display after a certain period of time under the Backlight settings, the phone does not lose my internet sharing connection but I have not tried it on the alarm clock yet. In previous versions of this ROM if I was using internet sharing mode for phone as modem the display would stay on which would also prevent my connection from getting lost. Right now its very inconvenient to have to remember to toggle the display settings on/off all the time. However, things like receiving phone calls and text messages still work even if the display is powered off by the backlight settings. Any thoughts from anyone?

It could be, in my case I did change the settings to turn off within 3 minutes, also one thing i did not mention earlier is that even reminders do not go off in the morning so it is not an alarm problem per se, but like temptest mention this might be caused by a setting issue we are causing.

My flip clock has gone crazy ...
This is weird... havent installed anything new and it was pretty stable running on v1.0 for about 2 weeks.
This morning, the hour and minute keeps incrementing by one every minute in sync... example... 7:07, a minute later 8:08, a minute later 9:09... but if i click on the home tab or move it back and forth, it gets the right time... now its at 15:15... click on home tab, it shows the correct time of 7:15
Could these alle be related to the mortscript at start up? can i remove it?

Did you soft reset after you installed? Because it fixed mines. I can go back and make the volume louder if it still did not work.

Thank you NFSFAN, you have brought new life to my xv6900.
I have flashed my xv6900 with NFSFAN's wm6.5 rom linked on page one of this thread. The file that downloaded is NFSFAN's WM6.5 1.00 FINAL ROM.rar. Can anyone tell me if this is version/Build 1 and if so post a link to download the latest version. Also, how can i determine on my phone which version is installed?

I have my power settings set so that on external power the screen goes dim after 1 minute, and shuts off after two minutes. Now when I am in an internet sharing session, as soon as the screen shuts off the connection breaks. Is this the way this is supposed to work, because I know on the Sprint ROM my screen would shut off but the connection remained on until I manually disconnected?

Ok thanks, I just wanted to make sure these ROM's are designed to work that way, even though the factory ROM didn't. And that I didn't have a glitch.
So the longest I can set the screen to stay on for external power is 15min. If I manually drag the screen all the way up as far as it will go there does seem to be an option for 30min. but as soon as I let of the screen to click that option, the screen bounces immediately back down so that 30min. is gone. If I scroll the screen down and just let it stop on it's own, 15min. is as far as it will go. Does anyone else see this problem. Right now the longest internet sharing session I can have is 15min. without tapping the screen at some point. What about the rest of you???

Ok thanks for the info, on mine when I flick it up it stops at the 15min. option. Must just be one of those wierd glitches that some of us run itno. I could reflash and fix that but find some other thing that works now wouldn't then. I've tried it three different times, following the exact same procedure, and have had a different little glitch each time. None of them consistent with all three. The truth is this ROM works perfectly on some phones without any glitch and on some others it just won't work perfectly regardless of what you do. I am sure this is true with all of the custom aftermarket ROMs, not every device is the same. It's not the fault of the cook or the installation necessarily, it's just the nature of the beast. I still think this is a amazing ROM and my hats off to NFSFAN for putting it all together. I just wish I had one of the phones that it worked perfectly on.

Is anyone experiencing some random freeze up when receiving an incoming call ?
It show the "answer/ignore" slider and then just start vibrating non stop, the only way to stop it is to hit the soft reset button.
I'm using V1.0 with the Mega dialler and have the option "ring and vibrate" selected.
On a side note, did NFSFAN ever mention a WM 6.5.1 version in the works for the vogue ?

Newest ROM works great. The only problem I'm having is windows media player mobile seems to freeze my phone when its switching songs, particularly when I have my headphones plugged in. Watching the screen, it also seems to take a long time to "buffer" on loading a new song, which might explain the lag/freeze. Is this a problem with media player, the ROM, my phone or the way my card has been formatted? Using a 4gb micro SDHC.
I've had no problems running GPS software off this card, so it surprises me that mp3s are giving it problems!

My experience is if I use the Mega GSM Dialer or even the V2 Mega GSM dialer, on my CDMA phone, I randomly experience a malfunction with the slide to answer. I found if I let it ring a couple of times, it seems to work. I keep going back and forth between the mega and the CDMA dialer. I just like the features of the Mega so much better.

So has anyone noticed a problem while texting?
It happens here and there but it seems as if my vogue is just SUPER lagging maybe, or the touchscreen is not as responsive?
If you hold down a letter to input, it will do it, but doing the simple touch like it would normally take, isn't enough.... I usually just reset when it happens.
Just more of an annoyance I suppose...

NFSFAN, just wanted to say thanks, so I sent you a donation for this rom, working excellent!
Only thing I ask you or other developers that help, is if it is possible to set the weather on the clock of the manila screen to be set so it updates whenever the screen is turned on. My understanding is it updates every 15 minutes now, but I believe this must be when the screen is on. I checked the weather before I went to bed last night, and it is still the same this morning but the weather tab has updated.
Anyway thanks for your great work, my vogue would be gone long ago if it wasn't for your roms. Thanks

Doesn't the time on your phone sync with your provider to get the up-to-date time? I restarted the phone and it fetched the latest time from Bell displaying the correct time due to the time change.
The only thing that I find a bit confusing is when I travel from Vancouver to Calgary, the phone didn't update the regional time on the route despite it is connected to Bell network (no time change even with the reboot). It always think that I am still in my local Vancouver time. I'm wondering if it has to do with NFSFAN 6.1 ROM. I can't say 100% for sure it is NFSFAN 6.1 ROM as I didn't have the stock ROM at the time to test it out.

Your phone's time will always show your home time zone time, unless you pre-program a time zone for visiting time. This has always been true, even with stock ROMS.

To whom it may concern, my phone did not update to the time change. I found and this. (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/daylight-savings-update.mspx) I attached the latest DST fix from m*crosoft.
Running v17 (1.00) on Bell, my phone did not automatically change to the correct time. I restarted it several times but it still shows 1 hour ahead.
I installed that microsoft cab, and restarted, but my time is still wrong.
Anyone else's time not update correctly?

actually the only thing Ive read is wired headset .. original stock one Im assuming .. I use a plantronics bluetooth without issue on sound volume, I dont think ive ever used the wired headset LOL
Detroit Doug
Yup, bluetooth works fine. It's the wired headset that does not work. I had 2, stock wired headset, and one I bought at T-mobile that I used in my car(linked to the cassette adapter). I have since moved to bluetooth for the car.
Lived without it for a while.....not a big deal but the other day while riding the skytrain in Vancouver I got a call while listening to music (wired headset), I made the mistake of trying to answer it and the caller hung up in frustration. O well, small snag that is normally worked around.

NO!!!!! or not anymore.
As a Pilot (Air Canada Jazz) I cross time zones quite often. My phone always updated. This is one of the things I originally quite liked about NF's ROMs. The stock Bell ROM would "stick" on the old time zone for 20-30 minutes before updating....crappy when pulling out your phone before making a PA to the passengers and using the wrong time!!! NFSFAN's updated instantly.....at least the 6.1 ROMS did. WinMo 6.5 never has......not NFSFANs, WDMs, Vins, Nags....none To bad, on overnights I have to remember to reset my phone time prior to setting the alarm....never had to do that with 6.1.

Part of the benefits of belonging to the same carrier as NSFAN is we don't have to install carrier cabs......everything works "out of the box".......except the wired headset (sorry, had to throw that one in there!!!!:D)

I don't think you want to try to install this ROM on a touch 3G. This ROM is designed for the original Touch (vouge).
You need a ROM designed for the Touch 3g (Jade).

Thanks for your info. I had roaming on automatic mode. Maybe that didn't kick-in, then I can see the reason of no time zone changes for the phone as I travel from one time zone to another. Also, I don't have the patch above on Windows 6.1, so I am not sure if that has to do with no time zone changes as well. Could you let me if it is necessary to have the patch on NFSFAN's latest Windows 6.1 ROM? Or I can simply set it to "Roaming Only" mode from "Automatic"?

I think I had my phone on "Automatic" mode instead of "Roaming Only" mode as I traveled. Maybe the roaming didn't kick-in while it's on automatic mode; therefore, there is no time zone change as I travel from one time zone to another. And it still thinks that I am in my time zone.

Yeah, absolutely.
My problem is that I use my phone for too much, and 6.5 (by itself) just isn't finger-friendly. 6.5.1, however, is starting to take steps to correct that, which I could live with.
For example, I use my Vogue as my media player. Have you tried navigating the stock Windows Media Player with your finger? Ugh. Because it's tied directly to Titanium, I want to give that a shot.
Otherwise, I mostly use M2D just because it makes life finger-friendly.

I have it set to standard, data roam guard default, call guard off, and "Time sychronize with mobile network automatically" checked on. Same (or similiar enough) settings I've always used. Hasn't updated for me automatically since 6.5. I travel through time zones 14-18 days a month as part of my job, so believe me when I say nyet it doesn't work.
Not a big deal, I know it's not NFSFAN's rom. Maybe it's just Bell, when travelling through the States my phones always in Flight mode so I'm not sure how it behaves down there. Bell rapes us for U.S. data roaming. I left my phone on accidently and got dinged $45.00 for a "0.20 second data event" (probably a weather update, location service, exchange....who knows!!!).
I'm not ruling out me having some setting wrong though, any fellow Bell users who have the time zone changes update automatically when travelling??
P.S. Tempests, thanks for taking over Mannnn's questions for me, been busy today.

I've tried Titanium as well, the one thing I miss the most about M2D is the contacts page. I really don't think it can be beat (except perhaps by the newest contact tab on the HD2). The people tab on Titanium is severly laking, and it's not even made by microsoft. The other thing I like about Manilla is horizontal scrolling thru tabs with your thumb. Other UI's (Touchwiz, Iphone) use vertical scrolling (so does Titanium for the most part). Why are Humans at the top of the evolutionary ladder? Opposable thumbs. Manila uses your thumbs making one handed operation (especially on that awesome contacts tab:D) excellent. Personaly I think HTC's Manila / sense UI's are the best out there hands down (or Thumbs up!!!!).

WMLongLife automatically will switch between 1x and 3g networks. You can set it to switch to 3g only for certain apps, or only when the phone screen is on etc. Pretty useful.
A HUGE drain on the battery is when you have a weak 3g signal, or weak signal in general, as the phone will continuously search for a stronger signal to pick up. I live in a suburb, and when I'm at home, I get a very weak 3g signal, so the app will leave the phone largely in 1x mode to save battery.

Yeah, it's not bad, I've tried lots of UI's but I find myself always going back to Manilla. Well integrated, deep into the OS, most UI's are simply launchers or widget based, Manilla enables you to do just about everything. Probably just what I'm used to but this mans opinion says Manilla is the best of all of them.

BT Pan in OSX with internet sharing doesn't work on this version of the rom as noted earlier in the thread.
I am also assuming that this release has bluetooth issues with headsets too.
I am eagerly awaiting a new version with this rectified as BTPAN worked fine in V16.

Hi again guys.
I posted somewhere in the middle of this awesome thread about not being able to unlock my Vogue, or flash to this rom at all. I may have left a few bits out that hopefully will get some assistance is solving my problems.
1. I'm on Bell
2. I am using an HTC TOUCH Vogue
3. I'm running the latest Bell ROM and the 3.42.50 Coke that was installed with the Bell ROM
4. I have tried on several computers running XP SP2, XP SP3, Vista SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x86, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and every single time I tried to run the 2.31 unlocker I get either a 260 or 262 connection error.
5. The errors occur after the unlocker finds the device and about 3mins after the progress meter appears.
6. I may have hit my head on the desk so many times due to these errors that I'm missing something really simple...*ow*
So after many weeks of trying this whenever I think of it and have a free 45mins or so the same thing happens. It literally just happened before I logged in to the forums and began typing this message.
Can somebody please help me figure out what to do? I have read all the FAQs and as many threads on the subject as I could find, but I'm still super frustrated.
ANY help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. :)

Well basically you make sure you have a good usb connection to the phone and can see it as a drive in your my computer. Do not have windows device center or any programs running. unzip the unlocker program into a directory (do not try to run it from the zipped folder) and run RomUpdateUtility.exe. That's pretty much it. If you do not succeed again, I suggest downloading the unlocker again. You may have a corrupt file.

Coke doesn't come with the official bell rom you have to run the unlocker separately. Make sure you have proper drivers installed on your pc. when you connect your touch to the pc make sure your touch shows two arrows to indicate its connected to the pc.
Then run the imcokeman unlocker. I have Win 7 64bit and the unlocker doesn't like that but ignore the errors and it will still work.
you MUST run the unlocker after flashing an official rom. Gluck.

I have found that this doesn't work and causes the 262 error.
Do not run the RomUpdateUtility.exe file. There is more to the unlocker than just the RUU: Either you simply open the zipped unlocker file and the autorun will take care of it or open the autorun file after unzipping the unlocker file. That is the one to use because it has to install a hard SPL on the phone before running the RUU. (That's done when the DOS window opens). It will run the RUU auomatically from there.
Find out why and get more info here: The imcokeman 2.31 unlocker page: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370 and look for the notes at the end of the page...

We may be talking apples to oranges.
The version I use 2.31 does not come with an autorun file. I attached my version so he can try and see if it works. I've successfully used it well over 200 times and it has never failed.

This unlocker is definitely different than what I was using since the last one didn't open a DOS box at all (although I'm not entirely sure it needed to).
Anyways, same thing happened...but this time Error 260. Once I exited the ROM util, the unlocker thought I was done with the SPL step I think and asked me to hit a key to continue. The phone then rebooted as normal, but honestly I have no idea how to check if anything actually happened.
Right now I'm in the 4-color screen and it says VOGU100, SPL-2.01.0000, CPLD-3.
I've also got the renamed NSFAN 1.0 ROM file on a Fat32 formatted 2gb SD card ready to go...nothing happens when I hard boot to it, so I'm guessing the unlocker tool didn't work again.

When you ran the one with the DOS mode, it asks you to unplug the phone and wait for so many sec and then replug it back in. I had a similar problem and i didn't notice it telling me to unplug the usb.

Does your phone have two arrows at the top when you first plug it into your pc.
Maybe the phone drivers aren't install in your windows. It must show connected before you can go forward.

I'm having issues with the rom..especially text messaging...I flashed the stock Bell rom first and then did 3 flashs of NFS 1.00 rom making sure to do a hard reset after each flash. To me the phone is buggy I press on the windows button and nothing happens 5-10 seconds later it finally opens. My biggest issue right now is that when I go into text messaging and click on a contact and send them a text it works flawlessly it's when I close out of that screen and go back to the screen with all my contacts the phone locks up to the point that sometimes I have to reboot it. Anyone else having these issues??

I just got finished upgrading to Vin's 6.5.1 Windows Phone ROM (having previously installed this ROM) and I have to say, I like NFSFAN's ROM MUCH better. NFSFAN, please create a ROM for 6.5.1 - that would be awesome! :) You really do a superb job when you create a ROM, so I know it would be perfect. Urgh, this 6.5.1 ROM isn't the greatest - I had to install soooo many programs and the camera control isn't the best by far. Camera control in your ROM is really fast and smooth, but Vin's just seems...grainy and slow :(
Thanks!

Easy there Dude!!!!
The best advice I can give you after flashing a new ROM is don't do anything but add / restore your contacts. Run it for 2 days to ensure it's bug - free then tweak the sh*** out of it (one step at a time of course). This way if you run into problems you'll know what's causing it.
Welcome to the world of custom ROMs!!!

does look FAST...YOUTUBE VIDEO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8atct-lcZiA&feature=player_embedded)
The Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23502 was spotted a while ago around the web, being the first COM5 build of the operating system that ever made it into the wild, following already leaked COM3 and COM4 builds of the OS, and now we have the chance to see it once again in a short clip delivered to the Internet by the guys over at pocketnow.
The changes the new build comes around with, when compared to the previously leaked Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23060, or Build 23081, have already been brought to light, including the new taskbar color, GUI fixes for the Volume Control, the graphical changes seen by Scrollbars, checkboxes and buttons around the OS, the new Contacts app, or the performance improvements it showcases.
The video below will also provide a glimpse at the speed improvements the fresh Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23502 comes around with, which one should agree that seem quite attractive. At the same time, you will also see that there is no page bounce back when scrolling, which is considered to be an improvement over the previous versions.
The new Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23502 is just another step in the evolution of Microsoft's mobile operating system towards what should become Windows Mobile 6.5.1, a platform version expected to surface on the market sometime in the first half of the next year, before the next-generation Windows Mobile 7 arrives on devices.
The series of leaked builds that now sees Windows Mobile 6.5 Build 23502 as the last addition is expected to show how the said Windows Mobile 6.5.1 would look like, and to also offer us the possibility to make an idea of what Windows Mobile 7 might include in terms of graphical appearance. However, both flavors of the OS still have a long road ahead before they make it to the market, and things might change a lot in the meantime.
23081, might as well go right to 23502, it's suppose to be snappier.

Nope, every skin I try has the little box in the corner (upper left or lower right). The screenshots show analog, digital or both clocks at once. I only ever get the "flip clock" and normally all the numbers and info are out of alignment. I can fix by resetting the defaults using M2DC.
I have re-flashed and hard rest this thing a dozen time in 2 day trying to get something to work. I am disabling touch flow before I make a change and re-enabling it after... What am I doing wrong?

As I stated before, I'm not having any alarm issues. My phone can be dim, lit, screen totally off, on charger, off charger, etc. It still goes off every time. So anyone experiencing this problem should track back what you did after installing the new ROM. Something else must have caused this problem.
I will say that if you do not have

Yeah I am starting to figure this out. It looks like this ROM has the newest version on manila I think that is v.2? Anyway It looks like Manila 2D v2 only supports the flipclock style of clock... Is there a way to return to the old/new manila or do I need to hard reset? Perhaps I want to find a ROM with out the newest Manila?
This brings me to another question... Can I found a basic, no frills 6.5 ROM and add both the Titanium and Manila plugins after?

I just upgraded to the latest NFSFAN's wm 6.5 rom v1, anyway, just a few questions.
1) I can't get the weather that is on the clock to update or do anything. I did some searching and found it is agps based. as in it updates according to u location. This Might be rellated to my next question
2) The Weather Tab in Manilla. I never could get that to show my Location in the old one either. I am in Sikeston, MO. I can find it just fine in the accuweather website just fine. But I can only get as close as St. Louis, which is 2.5 hours away.
3) Is there a way to use the Titanium weather application in Manilla?
4) Is there a way for the qwerty keyboard to show up in Landscape view when text messaging.

I've been working on my wife's HTC Touch on and off since yesterday because she's been complaining for months about it (stock rom, not working very well anymore). I followed the instructions about the weather fix, sprint provisioning, etc and kept running into issues with either no data or no gps. I'd install the provisioning cab and I'd have no data, then install the dcd sprint carrier cab I found in another thread and then I'd have data but no gps.
So I searched around in this thread and found some of you with the same issue recommending going back to a stock rom and letting it provision by getting on the web once and then flashing to nfsfan's 6.5.
Now data and gps work and I'm wondering if I need the sprint provisioning cab since everything works... Also, how can I tell everything is working the way it should? Webpages seem to load especially slow.

Unzip the attached.
Place the file in your windows directory of your phone (not storage card)
Reboot, and sikeston is in there. I have tested it.
Keep file safe for your future use (everytime you upgrade the ROM, replace it with this)
TYVM SL For your quick response, I did as you said and placed it in my windows directory. I soft reset my phone, went to weather tab and added Sikeston, and then when it tries to update it says No Weather Data for selected City. So then I went back to the home Tab, and tapped the screen to update the clock weather and it saysNo weather data available.
ok so I still have, issues.
1) the weather won't update for my city, on neither the Home tab under the clock or the weather Tab.
(still wish I could use the titanium app under manilla. It works great)
2) still cant get the keyboard to go to Landscape when I am replying to a text message.

There have been various posts on how to fix the weather for the cities not listed. Not all cities will update, even after customizing and adding them. So what many do is pick a city close to theirs.
Forget trying to get titanium to work under manilla. There is a nice MSN weather under your start menu. You could put it as your first icon under your programs tab and use it.

3.41.00 is the best native Vogue Radio
3.42.40 is the best Non native vogue.
I'd go the safe way and use 3.41.00

I'm getting an error message; could someone please help me or point me to where I can find the answer. The error is "Comparing two string values with numerical operator. Use"git" instead." followed by the location of the file (titanium.msc) which produces the error. What is causing it? seems to appear when weather is set to update itself. This is the only serious problem I have with this ROM :)

Hi, Will the NFSFAN's Opera 9.5 Based off newest build 17753 work on a WVGA device. I know some opera's work on multiple screen resolutions, but since this one was built for his rom it might only be qvga. I though i would ask anyway just to be sure
@gjbnh
Hi whenever i wanted to use titanium the weather didn't work until I copied a patched TitaniumWeather.mscr into the windows directory and I downloaded it in a package named TitaniumWeatherFIXED-for_NFSFAN_S_WM6.5.zip just wanna make sure you have done this. If is still needs to be done. I am not really sure if this is your problem, this is just a problem i had so i figured id post it.

I had the same problem - could not upgrade the radio from the SD card. The problem was the formatting of the card. I originally formatted with my laptop's built-in SD card reader. While the phone recognized the card and could install apps from cabs on the card, the radio upgrade would not run. I then formatted using an external card reader and tried again - this time the radio upgrade ran smoothly.
Hopefully reformatting with a different card reader will help you too.

I'm using Bell 3.42.50 and am with Sprint. I noticed a significant decrease of dropped calls and an increase in bars and clarity. However, others have upgraded and showed no change whatsoever. It may be that it doesn't help if you are already in a good coverage area and does help if you are in a scattered cell area like me.

In regards to the instructions..... for MMS "Verizon MMS: Install the cab provided in the link below, then after install go into the Connections,
and delete everything there. After that is done, open Advanced
Config, press Menu, and press "Import provisioning XML".
Search for mxipupdate_oemoperators_102.provxml, and import it. Soft-reset, and MMS should work."...................
What exactly am I deleting in CONNECTIONS? a profile a username? sorry its not clear and I in here in connections looking for stuff to delete. Also, this fixes the MMS sending, but I searched this thread and others on XDA. I know that the VOGUE didn't ship with MMS originally, but why is it so hard to adapt apps from DIAMOND or TOUCHPRO II so that we can receive mms? It frustrates me my friend with his dinky little LG flip can get MMS and I have to go to a SPRINT PICTURES WEBSITE and then toggle the image to "ORIGINAL" size to make out the tiny thumbnail? There has to be a better way.... Not a rant against NFS's rom as I know this is more an HTC/SPRINT thing....

I have a Sprint Vogue loaded with this WM6.5 v1 ROM and I can't get the internet sharing to work.
I didn't gave a problem with his old v12 tethering.
Any ideas?
Oh and this is a desktop pc with Winxp with usb connection. Also, I have no problem syncing contacts or getting on the internet on my phone. I am on it now.
UPDATE:
I just reinstalled the new rom and now the internet sharing works.

Im running TouchFlo on my vogue at the moment and it's the first time i prefer it to Titanium (i love the animated clock with the weather! :) )
On the Settings tab, I noticed this section called "Location - Network location services" at the 6th position whn you scroll down.
There is nothing there to set as it is all "grey". Is it normal?
Is the ROM built that way, because our Vogues cannot support the HTC special location services (such as "My location" in the Manila weather tab) ?

If you put the Radio files in the same folder as your flash files you can upgrade at the same time as the ROM

Hi, does anyone know why now when I try to flash back to the stock ROM I get an error during the flash it says "error 328 invalid command". This is right after the phone goes into bootloader and then the gray screen comes up with the staus bar on it. I am using WIN Vista Home Premium 64bit and have tried deleting the phone from device manager and reinstalling the drivers but it didn't help, and flashing back to VER16 first. A friend of mine had the same problem but when he then tried it using WIN XP he said it worked, why would that be?
Edit: I went back to the HTC download site and re-downloaded the ROM and it seems to be working now.

I was really enjoying Microsoft My mobile on my wife's TOUCH PRO2 but for some reason I cannot install .cab myphone-1.5.2128-wm-pro-touch.cab on my phone... The installer runs (no choice for internal or storage card) and then it says installation unsuccessful. Anyone else have any luck getting it to run on their VOGUE? link is here for the MS site http://sn1-p1.myphone.microsoft.com/mkweb/Start.po?mkt=en-US

If there is no difference after installing it, I have a copy from V13 Rom that doubles the volume on the earpiece.

Don't think there is a fix that actually works. People have tweaked the registry, copied files into the windows dir, etc and nothing seems to help the mic volume. I think it's a windows version issue and not a ROM issue.
I don't use a wired set. I use bluetooth which doesn't have that problem, so that could be your fix for now. There are several nice inexpensive sets available. I bought a Moto S9HD set and the sound quality for both music and phone is great.

Ok, so I just finished testing out vin255764's Wm 6.5.1 SYS 23506,23504 ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580113
The microphone is working perfectly. In fact it's working so well that I actually was able to put the wired mic in my hand, make a fist around it, and the other person could still hear me just fine. I even tried talking softly and the other person could still hear every word I was saying. It's a night and day difference.
So if it was the v17 version of Windows Mobile that broke the mic, then at least we know it's working on the newer WM versions which NFSFAN will hopefully transition to soon.

Here's the audio para from the above mentioned ROM:

I tried replacing it on v17, but the mic situation didn't change. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

21874 21874:)23504 is where it's at. There has never been a 6.5(or 6.5.1) ROM this fast. I'm serious EVERYTHING is faster on this new build. It's like the processor was overclocked. I promise if you flash 23504 or 23506 you will not be disappointed. I recommend Vin's Rom as it's the easiest transition from using NFSFAN Rom's. Not to mention Vin is very active in his thread and will help you with any tweaks or problems. It seems he is still using his Vogue so issues get worked out quickly.
Lastly it's been reported that the wired mics work great on his ROM, so if that's a problem for you then give it a shot.

Try creating that directory. I have always had a DCIM/100media directory on my storage card. When I snap a picture with the camera, it automatically saves it there. Did you and others modify anything?

Too bad I can't recover the other pics. I am unable to even create a directory in Storage Card/DCIM. I wonder if it has funny permission set somewhere. I also tested out android in the storage card if that matters.

However I heard it is missing office and several other programs. There should be an office cab somewhere in Vin's thread. For any other programs look in NagRom's thread, I think on the first page he posted a zip file full of everything that is in an NFSFAN rom's and some more goodies. So far I haven't found any programs to be incompatible with the newer 6.5.1 rom's. The only thing to get used to is not have the HTC Task Manager or the "X" button. But programs like Showcase can give you back that function. I just have the Window's Task Manager mapped to the left soft key(at the bottom) and use that to quickly close programs.
In base form the 23504 rom from VIN uses the same amount of RAM as the original 6.1 roms.
Also Vin leaves out YouTube because using the links on m.youtube.com provides better quality(w/ Streaming Media). But you can always install the actual APP.

You may have figured it out. I also tested android on my storage card. I just deleted the DCIM directory with Total Commander then changed camera storage back to the storage card. I took a picture and the DCIM & 100MEDIA directories were recreated and now it works.
