Hello,
I'm french, so please excuse-me for my eventually English mistakes.
I've seen that topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385129&page=10
But I don't see if there is a application for HTC Touch or HTC Elf in order to have the famous Android from Google. I've seen on the Internet that there was the application for HTC Vogue, but it doesn't work on our phones Touch / Elf. (white screen)
Is this application exist ? Or is it in developpement maybe ?
Thanks for your answers.

There aren't any applications. Android is an OS, like Windows Mobile. You can choose between WM and Android, but can't have both on your Elf.

Ok, here's what I have found after a day of very disappointing reading:
There is a WM booting version of android for the vouge (which is a qualcomm processor)
That processor is also the same (similar) architecture as the one in the dream/g1. Which is why it works I assume. As a result the rom should also work on the titan, diamond, HD, etc.
As for the Elf and Elfin. They use the TI OMAP 850 board. Google did write a version of android that worked on that board for a tech show, but it has not appeared anywhere around in a usable form for a phone. (No USB or keyboard or anything)
IMO someone should just have to take the kernal from that example and the development for the vouge and run with it
But that is probably way harder than it sounds (and hasn't happened yet as far as I can tell)
Also, the severe limitations of the Elf's ram will mean it probably not work booting from WM (since it needs 32mb at a BARE not even usable minimum)

The Herald forums has been porting android to the Omap850. They're still early on in the development stages, but I would imagine that helping them out (for those of you who can actually program and make drivers) would set a layout to port it easily to the elf (since they have the same CPU and chipset.)

There is a lot of work going on, too, but the guys at #Wing-Linux are currently syncing with mainstream so it's going to be a while before they can keep going ahead.
The guys with the Vogue have a MSM based CPU/Chipset which already has built-in support for most of it due to all current android phones also being MSM based.

One can't restore original shipped ROM after flashing any cooked ROM.. :p
Now you should go here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379034) and flash appropriate ROM according to your device.:)
PM me if any help needed.
Good Luck;)

[PRJ] Google Android Centre v2.6 [6Mar10] | Wing Linux - Elf / Elfin (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554479)
I will say this, there is no rom for the ELF for android. Android was never intended to run on our devices, Android does not natively support our devices, or the processor.
There are very few of people developing Android for the ELF, and these people are doing it in their spare time.
From the same thread, please see this:
Guys --
You act as if porting Android to the Elf is an easy task. Let me tell you why there isn't a ROM for Elf yet.
First, absolutely EVERY working Android phone (released or otherwise) uses a different processor and board architecture than the elf. Most of the ported devices are CLOSE ENOUGH to the released devices that a port is easy.
The elf does not fit this. The elf has VASTLY different hardware, and is only now starting to have Linux support. Nevermind Android, which isn't even designed to run on devices like the elf.
Those ports you see out there? They were made primarily by ripping the ROM from another similar Android device and copying it on. THAT WILL NOT WORK for us. Believe me, I've tried.
Second, for those complaining about lack of sound, bluetooth, or other hardware...that stuff is all controlled by the Linux kernel, NOT Android. As I mentioned before, we're just starting to have decent Linux kernel support, but there's two or three people tops working on it with any regularity. Expecting things like sound drivers to materialize out of nowhere, when we don't have specs or any help from the hardware manufacturers is totally unrealistic. Of course there's nothing stopping you from contributing to make it happen.
THIS STUFF IS HARD TO DO! We're trying to load an operating system onto a device that was never intended to run it. Further, we're trying to cram an OS that wasn't designed to run on hardware like ours. It won't happen over night, and complaining certainly doesn't help. If you want to get involved, great! We'd be glad to have you. But if all you want to do is run Android on your device and not contribute a thing to it, please consider buying one of the many available Android phones instead of contributing negative comments. All the comments do is demoralize what few developers we do have.
Let me reiterate -- No currently available Android ROMs will work with the elf. Wing Linux has the only Android image right now that will, and we're SERIOUSLY low on active developers. So be patient or contribute. It'll happen, but not over night.
Now. If you'd like to help us, great! We're always in need of testers for all the devices. And, if you're feeling brave, you can help us with code. Even if these aren't your things, we need help in a lot of other areas too. Our documentation is basically non-existent. Management of the website is done completely by me, so it's not always up to date. And that's just a couple things we need help with. So please, give us a hand! It'll make doing this easier, and we'll have a nice system that everyone can use.
For those who want to try coding, take a look at our development site (http://wing-linux.sourceforge.net/trac/wiki/Development) -- it should hopefully give you what you need to get started (and if it doesn't, we need to update it!)

This thread, along with the links, provide more then enough information to be able to get a version of android running on your elf.
Do not go into the CMDA Touch (Vogue) section either and try to flash an android rom from there. It will brick your device, and you will only be able to get it back (possibly) by JTAG.
Sorry to rant, but use the search feature before you post, if you can't find it to start with, continue looking, chances are someone else has already had the same questions as you. I've given you what you need to be able to read up on this and get on your way to running android on your elf.
Stu
EDIT: You clearly did not even read through this thread, as on the previous pages there are links to the same thread I linked to, by the OP of the thread I linked to. Please use Search.....
