Since DST has started in Australia my O2 xda IIi runs 1 hour behind my PC. Every time I sync, the time changes. I've turned off the time sync in Activesync but now my appointments are out by 1 hour between my PC and xda. This happened earlier this year (end of DST) but it was only for 1 week so I put up with it.

Now the changes are 3 weeks at start of DST and 2 weeks at end of DST. These are also permenant, so each year I'll have this problem.

Does anyone know how to change the DST start and end dates in Windows Mobile 2003. Microsoft have updates for Mobile 5 & 6, but not 2003.

Microsoft support had me download TZEdit, which can change timezone settings but only on the PC and not on my xda.

If I can't get an update or editor, I'm willing to do a registry hack. I have a registry editor for 2003 but don't know what to change.

I would appreciate any help, thanks.

I have the same problem with my XDA Mini and what I did to fix it was turn off the auto-sync time option in ActiveSync and then on my handheld I changed my timezone to one hour ahead - GMT+11 (Magadan). Once this was done I reset my time to the correct time.

The time was correct and all my appointments in my handheld jumped back to the correct times. I tested appointment setup both ways and they sync'd OK.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

I Have an Unlocked HTC Touch Cruise (polaris).
I am in Argentina and the same thing with the DST happend here. The problem for me is not the Time Zone, the problem is that the GPS uses the time to function properly, so first it delays about 30 - 40 minutes to find out the "correct" time from the satellites, and after that, it automatically adjust my time, so i have it wrong again....
Is there any way to change the registry to tell the system that i am in Daylight Saving Time?
Thank you all...
