Hi there!
I keep reading in this forum that there will never be a WM5 version for the Alpine because there is no WM5 version available for the Alpine's processor.
The AnexTEK moboDA 3360 however uses the same PXA272 520 Mhz. processor the Alpine does. So that's not really true then?
Kind regards,
Piet

...I read in the past some threads,but I don't remember if it is only a CPU issue, otherwise let's extract the rom and install in our ppc...it has very similar technical specifications

I have found a WM5 rom, but it is for HP, which have almost the same processor.:D. I have post the link in this tread;

We should ask Himalya forum for help, because they have experience in extracting and cooking stuff.

Use the Universal as a base rom (same chipset) and import drivers from himalaya for the equal specs (display, audio-circuit) could solve this... or am I that dumb? The different RAM / ROM structure aint an issue, it can easily be fixed. (there are ROMs that support 128 RAM + 128 ROM for Universal too)

:) I think soon we'll triumph! I hope))
And what if some drivers won't be suitable for Alpine?
