Diamond will not sync after rom upgrade.

Hi Upgraded my ROM to WWE-ME 1.93.456.2 using unlocked orange uk phone with O2 3G sim.
Upgraded worked ok but WMDC goes to sync with phone and just sits for ever no contacts or calender details transfered to phone.
have broken partnership reinstalled the latest WMDC from MS and still no joy.
Tried a search first but no usefull links.
Please help.....

end the win moblie processes on pc with task manager, then restart the device center.

Put in service mode and reflash? VOL DOWN + POWER hold then reset. back to Tri colour bootloader

Might be as simple as disabling advanced USB connections......
