I got an i-Wireless HTC 4300 (Wizard) with the original settings of:

IPL 2.28.0001
SPL 2.28.0001
OS 2.28.18.1
GSM 02.25.11

WM 5.1.195

I had successfully flashed a 2.71.11 radio rom and upgraded to WM 6.1 but for some unknown reason I still felt the need to tinker. I tried installing an official t-mobile rom to the device and I am currently looking at a phone with an

IPL. 2.21.0001
SPL. 2.21.Olip
GSM 2.71.11
OS 3.8.2.1

Is there any hope for my phone, or am I going to have to tell my wife I just blew $300 bucks?

Please tell me there's hope... :o

Thankfully, I figured this out.

I was still able to get to the bootloader screen, but no further and I read on another post somewhere (sorry I don't remember where) on this site that if you can get to the boot loader it's possible to use the RUU update utility to flash a new rom.

So I flashed the wizard love rom, brought my phone back from the coma and allowed me to update to other roms. I'm currently testing the TNT Professional. I might try the vanilla version even though it errors out on installation.

...boy am I glad that worked! :D
