Does anyone know if the WiFi switch is physically connected to thw WiFi chip or is the control based on software only?

If its software, has anyone found a way to make it do something else? For me, having a Bluetooth on/off switch would be far more useful than a WiFi one.

i know no2chem over at ppcgeeks created a program called "nueWifi Switch" that lets you change what the wifi switch does. I don't know if it's available as a cab install but you can get it by adding it as an OEM into a kitchen or by download the ppckitchen where it's integrated automatically.

which leads me to think that it's a little more in depth than a registry edit. but it could be. i never delved that far because i never use the switch anyway. but using it for a bluetooth switch does make a lot more sense.

no, the switch is not bound to the hardware, it is a re-worked wifi driver. as far as i know, the only ROM it's compatible with is an OEM in no2chem's ROM's.

damn the wifi switch is handy! I use it for ringer myself. I use AE button plus for my bluetooth for another button( I use a long press of the comm button). AE button plus is GREAT! 7 bucks. Support the man. ha.
