Alright, I just downloaded the kitchen software from ppc kitchen to build my own opperating system. When you log in, a screen comes up with different files you can open and then build/choose your options from the main screen. I chose all my options and then pressed the green/build button. It built it then when it was done it said I had an error of "Object refference not set to an instance of object" What does that mean or can can someone help me out on how to use this program?

The basics of this program is easy to understand.

1.Find an OEM package of the software you want
2. Put that OEM in the User_OEM folder (which will now show up as an option)
3. Make sure you are not putting duplicate programs or clicking duplicate programs to install (ie. multiple phone canvas's, calculator skins)
4. Press play to build
5. If all goes well then your ROM should now be ready to install.

*note: I do believe PPCkitchen does not install a radio so best bet would be load official stock ROM on phone for the radio then your Custom ROM

Also, if your getting errors during build then that means something is a miss. More then likely its the OEM package your using for a certain program. Just do trial and Error. Also, remember to specify which carrier your using in the upper right hand corner of the program.

Last thing make sure you are using a correct build for your phone. Meaning if your phone has a Non-GPS radio then make sure your Custom ROM is not GPS enabled ROM it has to be Non-GPS and vise-versa.

Hope this helps in shedding some light on how to use this program. Cheers!!!!!

It means there was an error in the code or an unhandled error in what you were trying to do. Post your build status log on www.pastebin.com, and provide a link to it in a post on ppckitchen.org.

Or, wait for the next version, do out any day now, and hope whatever caused it has been taken care of.
