well i just installed it up onto the rom of dr gonzo, working not too bad, except its showing 2 blank boxes instead of the battery and the time on the right top...

mmm I did not take any shots but they are the same as the screenshots u can see in themes topics apart ov the upper bar (the one with status icons, battery connections etc) and the bottom bar they remain in the color of ur scheme... I 'm using Fireburned WM6.0 NEO 1.1 ROM with default brown theme...so they were in brown... while the manila theme was the black one taken from the HTC DIAMOND----pretty ugly combined with brown bars... :(

Speed was comparable to the NEOPLUGIN and the WM 6.1 panels....

2 advices:

* when u are in manila interface and u press home key...u will return in ur windows default ennviroment...later manila will come back again...(i think there is something similar to a counter that refresh manila after a while)

* as previous said it happens sometimes that when u are doing something manila home interface comes on top...

Today afternoon I have installed Manila 2D. Weather function was OK. Now I have reinstalled Manila 2D and weather function is KO. On screen with weather when I press the right button (menu) and select "1 Add location" or "3 Settings", nothing to happend. Only warning about download data for weather forecast is displayed. Which weather plugin I missed? Any solution for me?
Thanks.
And sorry for my very bad english ...

It doesn't really work here. The bottom bar is screwed up...
And it doesn't work in portrait - so it is no option for me.

have you installed the newer version of the manila or the one provided in the rar file? i had this as i just installed the one from the rar file before.

@ frauhottelmann: I had the same issue when installed just using the lastest release...

but after i followed shadowmike instructions HERE (http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3581&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&sid=c9e76578ff2e8ee41c5445a225aa61f4&start=10) everything went well except for the 2 things I mentioned before.

I did follow the instruction, but it might be the ROM. I used a beta 'Rose' edition which I made the day before...

boh?!?!

the top icons being boxes are from the 96dpi mod.

the samething happend to a hp ipaq user who was running 6.1 standard.

the bottom row of icons being messed up are from not installing the 96dpi mod.

also im updating the instruction at AS for the newest update of manila 2d

You are correct sir, I'm glad switching from portrait to landscape is becoming more common...maybe more wm homescreens will start to surface for multi-orientation. they are hard to find now

well sliding panels does. i like that because i even change orientation on my shadow just to use it like a normal mp3 player sometimes.

but my thread at allshadow is updated http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3581&start=0 and i will update it and post here when herg updates manila for landscape.

ShadowMike: I just found your thread http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3579 on your touch pro sliding panels homescreen. Does this homescreen work WITHOUT manilla 2D? I have the 96 dpi hack installed but I'm waiting on landscape to install the manilla 2d files. Also, would the touch pro work on a non-touchscreen phone? It looks beautiful.

manila is not needed. however. 6.1 is. it is a theme that uses sliding panels.

however. like manila i have not worked on the landscape

however all i have to do is edit the 320x240 xml and make new images.

im trying to get a 740 port to the shadow so i can use htc weather. atm my sliding panels theme is using nrg weather.

I tried Manilla 2D, but it hung my phone, so I uninstalled it, but now I can't open Connections tab in Settings. It says "The settings could not be opened" :( Does anyone know how it can be fixed without a hardreset?

P.S. Using zeeshee's 6.1 96dpi ROM Version 3

Shadowmike: I installed the 96dpi hack on Dr. G's Mona Lisa Rom and everything seems to be working fine except my call history window (See screenshot). Do you have any ideas how to fix this? I tried to post the question at AllShadow, but I can't register there right now (the random numbers you need to enter to confirm you are not a robot will not show up, I get the [x] of no pitcure).

Has there been any solution to the top icons being boxes? Other than that, manila is running great on my Vox (on Rose v2)

Using simple sliding panel drains the battery of Vox drastically, I wonder what will be the battery life if M2D is installed .

I really like the Touch pro panels version, works nicely on fireburned's newest rom!

It would be great if you can make it work for landscape! :)

Hey ppl

Is this thread still alive?

I just got manila working on my vox after 2 days of struggling, flashing, rebooting. Just flashed it a few days ago with WM 6.5 v23 and it works really well. Got a few questions though:

1. Can the "press home button - exit manila" be fixed somehow?

2. More annoying: when the phone is locked, manila exists and then comes back upon random key presses. Can this be fixed?

3. The bottom sliding menu isn't sliding, it just switches... should it be animated when going left and right?

4. Oh and one more thing: I don't really like the default clock on the homescreen, the analog one. Can I change only the clock to some digital variation?

anyone tried it with the new ROM by Frauhottelmann?

yes, I installed all the cabs, almost everything worked except a few things:

- i don't know if this is a bug or a feature, but the only way i could start manila, was by from file explorer - windows folder - manila2d.exe

- big turn down: the "press home key exit manila" is there

- major turn down: when I lock then phone, manila exits and it only starts back a few times, after some time, or upon some random keypresses.

After a phone reboot (wanted to check if it starts automatically) i couldn't start manila, not even from explorer - windows - manila2d.exe. Just won't start anymore. Maybe its my fault here because I installed m2dc (manila customizer) to change the theme.
