I just though you guys might wanna test a rom cooked with manila 3d -v2

This is a PRE-BETA, dont expect updates, support or any other help from me on this rom (You might if I have a good day :).

When the final version of manila3 comes, I will make a new rom.

CHANGED BUILDVERSION BACK TO 19965

added the "angel" image in attachments, grab it copy to your device
To change wallpaper by using settings tab and wallpaper.

it has some "minor" flaw, thats activesync andpowerbutton etc etc... mortscript is installed, just add the powerbuttonfix from JeckyllHavok (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2784761&postcount=757)

The new manila from Chainfire is used, plus some minor updates by me.
Video in album does not work
I think videodial works, but no promises.

Camera is polaris camera w/autofocus

Tips:

Go to settings/power and use advanced tab, and uncheck the "Turn of device if not used for...."
this is because the 3d drivers needs a update (will come when the 3d team finds the time to do so, incurage them by donating them ;) )

The on/off bug is not fixed, because that has to be done by the 3d drivers getting an update.

There is still sluggishness. It is DEFINITELY not as fast as Manila 2d. Hopefully most of this will be cleaned up with future updates, but it will never be as fast as 2D is, simply because 3D is more resource intensive.

Its very sluggish when you soft reset. Especially when its loading the music tab. It takes a second or more with some tabs, while 2D is instantaneous.

I would not suggest people use this as there day to day ROM just yet.

Nice ROM! Very beautiful!! But indeed very slow (on my device). When I open a picture from the picture tab and close it again, it freezes completely. Have to soft reset then. Will go back to 3.6 for now. BUT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

I did not have huge issues with speed or performance however it was not as smooth as m2d. Now sure about the battery lift as I have now gone back to m2d but I would imaging this would take its toll.

itje, keep up the good work. Can you please see if you could include fm radio in the Opal release tomorrow? Hopefully it is not too much extra work.

This rom is not ment to be for daily use, since it has some serious bugs. Some has a workaround, but its batterykill :D

tried many times but the device doesn't want to start bootloader mode... always rebooting normally... :mad:

EDIT (after million of tries): bootloader mode worked by pressing very hard on the camera and power buttons! reflashing older ROM

You do not need to press the power button. Just press the camera button (keep pressing it) and reset.

i think he just wants to know how to get into bootloader mode (not hard reset)

tried many times but the device doesn't want to start bootloader mode... always rebooting normally... :mad:

there are two solutions for it..
1. use Polaris_CustomRUU.exe for flashing. You need not get into bootloaded manually. It automatically pushes the device into bootloader mode and does its job.
2. Reflash the HardSPL. And you shall get rid of your problem. It happened with me too. And I had to reflash the HardSPL..

itje sorry my friend but this rom is so bad,activesyng dont work and the graffics of manilla are so bad,ill turned back to the m2d 3.6 and wait for the v4..

and grapichs is bad? because it miss the background image? Yea I agree that the skin on the clock is awful :) but that can be easily fixed

bootloader: press reset button and camera button together. then release reset first. it will the hold on the bootloader screen.

i couldnt :( to many bugs..

- softreset after calling
- freezing
- menu settings missing sometimes

(bugs after 10 minutes use)

iam waiting 4 a final m3d

Very nice ROM... Only one big bug... I try reinstall TF3D with last update, working great, pictures better, faster.. Only after display switch off phone freezes... Light switch on on low brightnes and only reset works...
Fix ala mortscript doesnt work :(

Hi. Great work. I like it. First it was a little bit too slow. But now it is better. Don't know why it was that slow before the 3rd reboot.

I didn't really know what to do with the DisplayOff thing??? If I run it the display goes off and when I want to show the display I get a blended display where I can't do anything. It just doesn't react to anything. Any tips for a stupid dude like me?

For now my solution is to run toggleManila so it shuts it down and then i can shutt of the display. But i always have to start it again when I want to use it. :confused:

Why are the Buttons, and graphics and so on that comprimized? Looks like 256 colors mode. Will it be better with the next patch(es)?

I know, I ain't funny at all... But hey... Got a very boring job...

But lets get serious:
1) I've Windows XP, but ActiveSync isn't working, already reinstalled it several times, but still it isn't working
- Thought there were ActiveSync issues? Don't know for sure.

2) Cannot use Internet, send SMS or send Mail
- Check your Internet Settings (Start => Settings => Connections => Connection setup) this will automatically set your internet settings
- SMS problem: Start => Settings => Connections => Advanced Network => SMS Service, set GSM Over to GSM

I cant answer you before I see your post, please dont repeat yourself..

When a final release of m3d is out, there will come a final rom from me, untill then, no more releases of this rom

i have installed the rom, and i found 1 major bug and a minore bug. the minor is that the colour of the numbers of the home clock are black, and the last 2 (the minutes) are transforming in white when is changing. the major problem is that when is getting in standby mode, i cannot see anymore the home screen (and all tabs), i can only enter in start menu, but if i press near to start, the screen is freezed. i have to soft reset it to see back the home screen, but after 1-2 minutes is freezed. also, i cannot put it in standby mode from the power button, doesn't work.

it clear that this ROM is not garentee for speed as well as for sability.
however this is the general feeling
can someone that had more then one week usability of this ROM (V-2) can share some pros and cons for this ROM daily use?
is it crash?, need more then 1 reset per day?, application failure or it is "just" slower then 2D ROMs and have the "shut down" problem ?

Download it via mirror and flash my cruise straight away. Results (problems) :

1. My cruise freeze randomly...not totally freeze, it's like a "crash" on pc. Opened applications cannot be close and at the same time, u still can play with the other stuff, and again it cannot be close.

2. Try to disable a few tabs...a bit smooth but STILL randomly freeze (need to reset or even have to take out my battery).

3. A bit slow BUT very entertaining!!

If only TF3D is STABLE, this rom could be THE BEST rom for TF3D so far!!!!
