Sim unlocking ?

I'm kinda familiar with HTC devices sice I've had my first SPV E200 and I'm about to buy a Diamond BUT I need to know if I can sim-unlock it ?

It is really important to me, when my friends need a phone to put their SIM in, I like give them mine ;)
