not searching hard enough
if you use the search button, and you enter youtube

I 've found that Youtubeplay (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=385227) works on Polaris. The 2 cabs and 1 zipfile in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395338) don't however. Is there any working cab for the HTCYoutube player? I've seen it work in certain cooked ROM's and I think it looks better than Youtubeplay.

You mean that HTCYouTubeQVGA-Official0.02 (http://rapidshare.com/files/146751595/HTCYouTubeQVGA-Official0.02.cab)? Yes, I tried it, but it wouldn't even install. The installation process ends saying installation was unsuccesful. I even tried a second time after a soft reset with no avail. :(
I'm using udK Diamond R8.

I guess you are referring to this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2761662&postcount=3885)? Does that mean I have to use Manilla2D to use those widgets? Or does it also work as a standalone program?
