I managed to fix the "blank screen at the bottom" problem when flashing a splash screen. For Raphael it's currently working nicely, but for Diamond I need a volunteer to test this :) Details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436105

Let me know if you've tried it and it worked for you :D

EDIT: Now confirmed working for Diamond also. Thanks to Sevennl for testing!

hahaha..! I guess no one wants to be the first one in Diamond :) Let me just clear what this patch do--this fixes the old splash screen still occupying about 100px below the screen when flashing a new one-- so you don't need to flash only black-themed splash screen but true 480 x 640 screen :D

well.. it's for:
- people who don't want the operator logo/htc logo and a more customized one
- people who want to make the splash screen part of their "phone theme"
- people who want their info "harcoded"-- I usually put my contact details on the splash screen in case, you know, it gets stolen :) Easy to hard-reset and lose all your details, but not that easy to remove the splash screen for a person not reading much on xda-developers :p

so there!

hmm.... if someone found my phone, i doubt they could turn it on, let alone reset it to find my contact details (logic?)

i agree that some people may want the start screen (a sign of a reset after a crash) as part of their theme, but personally i dont see the point.

Cheers for the contribution, hope u find someone to test it.
