WM6.1 ROM (build 20755) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I am sure you all shall like it.

MAIN Feature:

This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.

when i try to use the compaqt qwerty keyboard, he'll only give me numbers and NO letters.

when going to settings -> system -> touchflo, it doesn't show me any settings?

1. The TF settings dont work
2. compact QWERTY and PhonePad dont type alphabets only digits
3. The Y-Tube does not connect.

Impressive work,

There is a bug with activesync i can't sync with exchange, keeps saying that i've stoped the sync.

But please update all app's, insert it a 3G dialer, and ppppllleeeeaasaseee remove the cube (gain extra memory/storage MB) it's useless.

I haven't felt an increase of speed in a rom a long time ago.

This is a great ROM, I am very happy with it.

Very fast - no waiting around or any hang-ups.
Quickgps works fine.
Camera works fine with the green auto focus.
Google maps works great.
Opera browser - I don't know how to tell what version it is. It is the version that shows an overview of the page (when zoomed out) in a small grey window with a red square around the visible area.
TomTom works great (tested with 6.032).
No issues with switching on and off.
Lights.exe works with video memory so the 3D drivers seem to work.
You-tube videos download and play fine.
FM radio works as well.

I recommend this ROM to anyone. Well done shekhar!

I , in the meanwhile, managed to lay hands on windows live version 10.6.0039.1400 which had come along with the original HTC WM6.1 release. And it seems to be working fine. Guess 10.6.0039.1400 is higher than 10.6.0034.800 .
Any body can correct me if I am wrong!!!!!!.

I can confirm exchange bug.... ROM is super, fast, nice, for exchange synchronizing is needed activesync_fix.cab. I have Exchange 2007.

I think the Polaris forum is setting a benchmark for community spirit and sharing. I hope it will inspire others, not just in the forum but everywhere else on xda-developers to stop the petty "my device is better than your device" and ownership arguments that are sadly so prevalent on x-devs these days.

Its especially nice to see a rom chef inspiring others by being open with his efforts. I have noticed recently a few people trying their hands at creating roms and that can only benefit the community as a whole as they gain more experience and share their work in the future.

Create your contacts in QuickDial and they automatically showup in the people-widget. And they dont vanish after Soft reset.

I follow your ROM from time to time and amaze for the speed improvement.
if I may recommend for you to consider next time also to remove the "cube" that is coming by default. why? because first it take some memory usage, second it always pop up in the wrong timing when you make the V sign with the pan, and last, there is already such a good alternative .....:)

When I click the ROM update, it seems to load then just stop and nothing else. The file that was downloaded total has 6 files. Is that correct?

The setup of my polaris take me about 3 hour's ,from flashing the rom and make it work the way i like.
So the big question for me is ,if you wout like to inlight me ,and others the overall drifrence betwin them.
Im running v34.
And have np im even running spb shell in the background and i can turn Tflo3D
on for the fun and show of what polaris can do(it's slow but it work all around).
The best part whit your rom is that it turn's of grps iff not usede i like that.
Ther is bug's but none of them i use.

I have made a previous post (#57) where I list the bits I like. I agree with you about keeping the cube but it looks odd in grey when manila is blue. Could you do a black manila version?
Also, I am pleased you kept the original Polaris camera so that the auto-focus works. Can you do the same with the dialer so that we can use video calling?
Also, is it possible to change the way manila accesses the photo album so that it is in landscape mode like the original? I can of course rotate the pictures but then they are in the wrong format if I access the album from the cube.
Also, the original camera albums opens up windows media player to play videos when they are clicked on in the camera album. Can you make this functionality within your camera album? As you know, at the moment there is an error message saying the jpg cannot be played.
Also, the font is a different size in the programs page when accessed from manila than when it is accessed from the start button.

These issued are minor compared to the rest of the ROM which is really great.

Firstly your Rom is great I have dumped it to see who it is made, I am trying to understand where the opal dialer is, If you could help explained that way I can have the original dialer to use the video calling.

If possible I will make a cab so that I can switch between the two. I only need video calling once a month.

This is the only I reason I don't use your rom.

i am not sure if this helps but with my tomtom not working problem when it loads i get a small beep type sound after about 5 seconds and then it just hangs. i do hope you can fix this as i think this is the best rom i have tried.

Another strange thing is the rom started, but feels EXTREMLY slow, I used before R1 (udk), but this is much more slower. It tooks 10 seconds when writing when tapping the keyboard letter until it actually apperars. And it is only 1 letter.....

... and pressing red key second time doesn't jumps back to MAnila Today tab...

A quick question. Why is Visual GPS included in the ROM? The reason i ask is that i use BeeLineGPS for Geocaching and it is made by the same company, so it jumped out at me.

The reason is the Visual GPS is a FREEWARE, but the BeeLineGPS is a commercial software.

After testing 1.2a for a while I went back to 2.0 RTM because it had less bugs, although slower.
Looks like this release has some problems worked out. I will try it out.

The only real need as I see from everyone here is 3G dialer.

hahaha! Good, that you have removed your biggest irritant (Cube) and got the 3D dialler as well. That is why the dumpable ROMs are good here.
You may upload your creation for the guys here on two requests:-


Leave the ROM dumpable sothat others can modify it.
Leave a refence somwhere in your remarks that base ROM used is c_shekhar's blah blah blah...etc.

Please share your ROM. The only reason that I didn't try c_shekhar's ROM until now is lack of video call support. Many users report that this is the fastest ROM so I would really like to try it.

Easy thing. M2D along with the cube, Large Titlebar and so on
simply eats a lot of ram. Alone the Biotouch and things needs
about 10megs of ram. Thats the way it is.

You have been a great cook for my Himalaya also. Even today I have your ROM on my Himalaya.Here again I am using your ROM. The final version is just great and very fast. I have use syrius ROMs also that was full of bugs. I used itje's ROMs but I found yours to be having all that what I need.
Over and above my videos are working in Manila which perhaps no one could povide so far..

I have installed your ROM again yesterday and trying to find a bug somewhere, in vain.

I have tried all, repeat, all ROMs without exception. In my opinion yours, is at this very moment exceptionally smooth, fast and complete. However if you allow me, I will come back to you with effective comments later on today or tomorrow.

But let me mention this in the meantime, It is a pitty that You, M-Amine, UDK and ITJE do not sit together in a way, to develop the ideal ROM.

2 - Although I have my OUTLOOK list of addresses with a top sync (vista), all callers do not show when calling. I have 'Private" showing, which does not help at all. Actually this happened also when I installed M-Amine's ROM but Tom Tom worked well.

To enable the 3G dialer you'll have to install a 3G dialpad so install "Nadavi_and_Dutty_Touch_Dual_Dialer_for_Kaiser.cab" then after reset, you'll have to enable it instaling "Taiseer Enable 3G video telephony.cab"

My fovourite game SkyForce is not running, on M-Amine RTM there was no problem. I tried multiple times and am converting back to M-Amine. Speed is also not faster, otherwise very nice ROM.

You shall have to install the language Pack. It is only WWE ROM..

i know that this rom is only wwe, i am not asking for an italian rom :)

in every other wwe rom there was italian t9 language pack included.. if i install the language pack (i took it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355277&page=19 ) the phone pad keyboard will stop working and only write numbers...

Strange. Anyway, too bad for me, I cannot have TomTom 5 on your ROM whilst it works on all others.
Regarding callers ID, I think, I must have a file somewhere which remains in WINDOWS and prevent me of seeing a caller's ID. This happens with your ROM and M-Amine's one, both 3D drivers.

TomTom vers. 5 and 6 does not work on the most cooked roms. You need vers 6.032 or higher. You can find a cab (vers. 6.032) here on the developers (don´t know why, but an upload failed as .zip).

If not, send me an e-mail and I will send you the .cab. I hope it will work with your maps. For me its working fine.

As default the cube is disabled.
In your early post you have explained that you removed the cube.
Do you have this behavior when you do a soft reset, please check?

I found a different behavior (bug) for the all day events (calendar) in the Home Manila tab.
Other ROM's as Syrius R1 or Navia1.2a showing the all day event for birthday's.
This ROM shows the begin and end time 0:00 - 23:59.

What is the reason of this difference behavior?

After some testing i can say that this rom is VERY FAST! faster than syrius R1, u just have to wait 5 min after a soft reset to go at full speed until you soft reset again!

However today I performed Soft reset and M2D hasn't shown up.

Tis bug is in many cooked roms using built ...755. There is actually no solution, that permanently works. You can do the "fake server trick", but this only works until the next sync with your PC. In built....758 (Phang Quam is using for his latest rom) this bug seems to be gone.

I just installed this ROM ROM aprèx the M-ROM Amine andthe Gold and it is really great.
The sui the small concern that I have found is that I can not display the list of appointments in HOME. It always shows 12:00 am - 11:59 PM.
Is what I am the only one to have this problem?
Also, can you tell me where I can find a qwerty keyboard or change in French. I tried but it did not work
